- Hello and thank you for clicking on my video, I'm Susan and 57 years old. Im a size 18 more realistically a 20 due to my large tum, chest and bingo wings! Being only 5ft4 I also find things long on me.
Peacocks is fast becoming one of my favourite places to shop, they always have a good range and new styles are coming in all the time. The prices are already good but if you can catch one of their 20% off promotions then you shouldn't hesitate. For once I didn't order any dresses and only two blue items! A good mix of clothing including a skirt, culottes, co ord, two different cardigans and not forgetting some trendy sandals.

Welcome Sue, good to have you join my community. I love US ladies too, but often confused as their sizing is different and no good to us in UK if the hauls are from Torrid or shops we don't have access to here. Hope you come back to watch more videos, i've got lots more coming

I liked many of the items Susan but twisted elastic in a waistband is one of my pet hates 😅!
I did like the first co-ord until you mentioned the waistband lol 😂 and wondered if the fabric is plisse (I tried to check as it looked like it but it doesn’t say). If it is you could shorten the trousers (or get a seamstress to do so) as they don’t need sewing……it just has to be cut with proper scissors!
That 100% cotton, ecru cardigan is a brilliant buy….I really thought it was Acrylic so I may invest…..it’s so pretty!
All in all a good haul and very reasonable prices!

Hi Lorraine, good tip about shortening the culottes, but I don't think it is plisse as its much thicker fabric so won't risk just cutting them shorter as would need a stretch stitch to hem them again. The cardigan is beautiful, I definitely recommend, although i'm nervous about washing it! You can't beat Peacocks for value and the quality can be there if you search. Watch out online as they often have discounts that don't show in store. You take care too, I love reading your comments as you always take the time to be helpful, kind and supportive ❤x
I agree with you on the green skirt that the seam is in the wrong position for you. If you like the skirt and would like to keep it, my suggestion would be to shorten the skirt at that seam or up at the waistline. It should be an easy fix. This design of skirt was popular in my youth, we called them gypsy skirts, they were basically just strips that you gathered, if should be easy to just remove a couple of inches.
Hi Helen, it's a lovely skirt but worried I wouldn't do a good job trying to alter skirt so I will just keep a look out for more and hopefully the proportions will suit better. Yes gypsy skirts, I remember the term now, I remember having a denim one back in my youth and wore it to bits. xx
Love lace cardigan. Really want to buy one. Like Peacocks . Bought a lovely straw bag from them on Saturday. Unfortunately paid full price but clothes are very reasonable

I like clothes in crinkle material because they don't crease. I hate ironing!
Hello Cindy, you and me both ,lol. Im currently working on a New Look haul and wont be keeping some of the items because just by how they look out of the packet I can tell they would be a nightmare to iron. Life is too short for ironing 🤣

The first item wasn’t flattering. Avoid big patterns like that if you are plus size and short like me . I loved the black trousers and top. Try to find small print as it wont show deficiencies. That cardigan is nice. I bought one suit yrs ago from there which were good but after that the clothing was poor and haven’t been there since

Hi Rhian, ive had mixed reactions to the first outfit but I agree with you I didn't like it, though I'm still holding judgement on big versus small prints. I feel peacocks are trying to stay competitive with their fashion so it's very much fast fashion in current styles which you may not want to last for a long time as it will be dated. That said the navy culottes and cardigan that I kept are very good quality and were very well priced. Take care and thank you for always being so supportive xx

Hi Jane, my haul is only a tiny fraction of what they have available so you must check them out. I always check their website as they regularly have discount promotions that they don't have instore.
