hi Lorraine, I know exactly what you mean as I have had a few pieces more notably from Roman which haven't had the pattern inside, however when the item is upto a quarter of the price somehow I don't notice the inside quite so much. Like you I share concerns about shopping on Temu and Shein but if you watch my amazon versus Temu video you will see that it is the same products you are just cutting out the middle man! That's what I often do. At 5ft 4 tall, I layer longer shirts under jumpers, or longer tee shirts and camisoles under pretty chiffon blouses, (that could otherwise look too 'square') for example. This makes me look taller, and more slender, as it elongates the body. I love the shrug cardigan, the striped shirt and the pearl jewellery. Time to visit Shein, at last, I think.( I want to try their satin PJ's) Thank you Susan

@@jacqueline8559 That's right, items tucked in cut us off at that point, even a peplum style T Shirt would work too so it has the slight ruffle edge going on

You're always on point, I have several peplum tees and tops, which I wasn't sure of when they arrived. They do make a big difference, when layered under shorter/ potentially 'square' pieces, allowing me to wear items I'd otherwise not reach for in my wardrobes. Have a good day

I hope you don't mind my replying. After years of bullying, by my mum and sisters, I too suffered from your ED. I had Bulimia Nervous and compulsive Ed . I hated myself and they compounded those feelings, Even though I , too, was about 1 stone overweight in my teens and 20's. I stopped this when I met my husband, He shows Me every day that I'm loved unconditionally. And they were jealous as I now see I was always the prettiest (How I wish I'd seen that back then!) .I needed steroids therapy for medical reasons. Steroids cause huge weight gain! I ,too, can't weigh myself as it's a trigger. I feel ED's are as much addictions as any other, and we need to navigate recovery and avoid relapse. (Sadly not cure,but that's Ok ) Even my doctors weigh me but don't tell me the weight! I go by clothes size. At 5 ft 4inch tall, I hit size 26! My mum took photos, without my knowledge, and sent them to ALL of my extended family. The mocking was appalling. Now I've stopped treatment and have slowly reached 18-20 . That's a good size, nothing wrong with it . I just need to reach size 16, (my pre illness size,) as a 'final victory' over an illness that almost killed me! I took all negative people out of my life, including my mum and sisters!! The sense of freedom, and relief, is huge! . Your School bullies are part of your past. They bullied you from a warped sense of pleasure .They were jealous, because you are better than they can ever be! .You are beautiful, inside and out! Suffering breeds a pure heart and empathy for others .Please try to know that! Only losers ,with empty lives, bully others. You eat in the way you feel most comfortable, but please try to avoid the binging ,as it's dangerous for your health. Every time you manage to stop that action, CELEBRATE YOUR VICTORY OVER THEM. THEY HAVE NO CONTROL OVER YOUR LIFE. ONLY YOU DO., and you CAN beat this ! I have every faith in youI know it's hard, I have urges to lapse ,too, under stress..I remember my 'bullies' and it strengthens me not to do so! You're a strong, beautiful woman, with a great healthy life ahead. You've absolutely got this! Good Luck , I'll keep you in my prayers x

Oh Sue, that does seem sad. I've been overweight all my life, I joke I was born overweight at over 10 POUNDS. I so get where you are coming from with lack of confidence but if there is one benefit of getting older is you lose that worry about what other people say or think. You are not invisible to me, I see you and your worth so strongly, you are a fabulous person with so many amazing qulaities and don't you ever forget that. Stay strong and well, thinking of you 💐❤️

Powerful words Jacqueline, ones that so many young people would benefit from hearing. One of the reasons I started my channel was to normalise plus size, that being plus size is nothing to be embarrassed about that we can all make the most of ourselves. If this series of does size matter has shown me anything then it is that size really doesn't matter. Clothes just look different on different sizes, no better no worse. Love you all my strong warrior subscribers who are real queens, there to support and comfort one another ❤️

​​@@susanknight7091 Thank you, Susan. It's how we wear the clothes, that suit our individual shapes, that matters. Not our size. What makes us feel great, and confident? I think the quality of fabrics ,and colours that flatter us, can go a long way to boosting our confidence levels.

@@jacqueline8559. I don’t mind at all and thank you for those lovely words . I am so happy you have found a way to overcome your ED , it’s bloody hard and frightening how it gets a grip on you . I was also compared to my slim and trendy cousins unfavourably of course 🤦🏻‍♀️ How horrible of your mother to do such a thing , she should be ashamed . All of my life I’ve battled my weight , I’ve been skinny ( occasionally ) medium size , plump and plain obese and have never been happy or at peace with myself . What a waste of my life , I really really wish I could have gotten to grips with these issues sooner . I try and keep my weight down as much as possible as my health is not good , I have severe osteoarthritis in most of my joints and cervical and lumbar stenosis , also recently been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and that has knocked me for six both pain and exhaustion wise . I am determined to keep my weight steady at least to ease the pressure off of my joints . Anyway thanks so much for offering comfort and support , it’s truly appreciated . Best wishes 💐

Susan loved the jumpers - yes all of them! The skirt which looked great with the cream and v neck but they are versatile so could be worn with many different bottoms - skirts or trousers or over scrappy satin dress which I have seen from other designers. The off the shoulder top very nice but as you said it was clinging and would show very lump and bump. I'm popping over to The now to see and hear what she has to have a great weekend ❤

In a hope that just a tiny bit of her beauty and confidence will rub off, somehow. 🤷 She gives great styling ideas, and I've developed a satin skirt obsession after watching her. Great for me, maybe not my Bank 😂 (Asda George have been selling lovely Satin skirts. I've somehow acquired 6 🥺🥴) I have worn them with Summer sandals, so far. In the Winter, ill don jumpers and boots, both long length and ankle length with tights. Or dress them up for nights out. They're a very flexible addition to any wardrobe

Hi Alana they had several different coloured shirts not necessarily the same price though. If you are lucky you should be able to find a 2xl in store. If an xl is 18/20 then 2xl should be 22/24 ❤️

@@susanknight7091 They have a longer length biker jacket in Asda. I only have seen it in. I have one from River Island sale . It says 24 on the tag . I am a size 20 on top and it fits me ok. I can wear it now with my cord trousers and ankle boots. However the normal biker jackets are short and just a tad longer than your waist. Am not too sure what sizes they go up to in Asda but it’s worth a look xx
