If drafting a role profile for yourself think about following sections:
    - Job title
    - Who you report to
    - Grade if known
    - Business
    - Department
    - Job purpose (no more than a few sentences which explain what the role exists to achieve)
    - Main responsibilities (the main areas in which the job must get results and the end results required)
    - Scope of decision making (define the nature of decisions that the role holder can make without references and areas where recommendations can be made and procedure followed)
    - Direct reports if you have any
    - Facts and figures ( to help describe the scale of the job, may include budget and revenue, projects, markets, products)
    - Scope of influence ( key internal and external stakeholders)
    - Key skills requirements (list all essential and desirable, skills, knowledge, experience, technical competencies)
    - Development in role (list all skills, knowledge and experience etc that a job holder can develop in the role)
Then discuss with your manager for their feedback and support.
🧐 WHO AM I? I wish I had this channel when I was at Uni and transitioned into working world and next chapter in my life. It would have certainly made things easier for me. So here I am, 10 years later having a go at making videos and sharing content and tools that are centred around personal and career development, psychology, neuroscience hacks that aim to help us work smarter, better and happier. My goal is for you to realise your potential and do something about it. Basically, everything that schools and universities don't cover in great detail.
I am a school volunteer, mentor, law graduate and HR professional. I live and work in England. I work full time in a senior HR Business Partner role, I am also a mom to Alexander, married to Tony.
