Warhammer 40k memes are awesome, however sometimes it can be hard to determine what is true and what is just a bit of fun, today we fix that

Hello Majorkill,
Would you please make some lore videos on the Imperial Truth, the Imperial Creed, the Ecclesiarchy, and the High Lords of Terra? Pretty please? Thank you.

Tau are more of india’s caste system than communist but the memes are still funny
Correct, but also it can be both!
@@Pyre
No, no it cant. Not in this case.
If you think the Tau are in any way communist, you have zero clue what a communist actually is.
I.E. you must be from the U.S.
The caste system alone would be anathema to any kind of communist thinking.
@The_Keeper so true. 99% of people who use the word communism have no idea what it actually is
@@Pyrecommunism literally requires a classless society. But I like your enthusiasm though
@@The_Keeper nah. Communist thinking necessitates a caste system, and then is incapable of evolving beyond it. Which is why no communist nation has ever made it past that whole "dictatorship of the proletariat" thing.
Personally I think the alpha legion only says “I am alphurius” so much because they actually don’t know who’s who because of their convoluted structure and are all too afraid to question each other
Hmm, might beyond to something. But you might also be corrupted by the forces of chaos with such heretical chit chat.
You think too much citizen.
I'm going to tell captain Alpharius about your heretical thoughts, if he doesn't listen surely general Apharius will.
Tanna-spilling time: all Alpha Legion members have the last name of Pharius and some kind of first name with :Al" in it: Alvin, Alex, Alexy, Aleister, Alois, Ali, Alejandro, Alfonso, etc. Hence, "I am Al Pharius", and none of them are lying.
The new novel mentions that only a relatively small traditionalist warband of the Alpha Legion ever uses that nowadays.
When I first got into the Blood Angels everyone kept memeing “Dante just wants to die” then I read DoB and “oh he actually wants to die” 🥴
Bet out of all his sons he looks the most like daddy
If anyone can explain: Dante is said to have blonde hair but when he meets the lion after becoming primaris his hair is black?
@@sj-tt5tf Cant really say, We know it's a result born of him crossing primaris rubicon, but the reason of why it turned his hair black with streaks of silver hairs is unknown. Might be related to the whole Sanguinor vs the dark angel thing from the warp. Mephiston became the avatar of the dark angel and it was said that the Sanguinor was losing that fight that was described the fight for the fate of the blood angels. and Dante turning from Blonde to Dark hair in the rubicon could be physical representation of that fact. But again complete speculation since there is no lore coverage from his ascencion to primaris.
@@_NutcasE_thank you!
@@sj-tt5tfIts a ritual the Blood Angels have. In times of mourning, such as the loss of an entire company, or anyone really, Sanguinius would die his hair to honor the dead, likely keeping it dyed for as many days as there are dead. Dante is probably emulating this as Chapter Master?
I kind of want this to be on-going each episode a few more memes to 'debunk' while also being lightly informative about the lore. It would be amazing.
Hell, seeing as christmas is lurking around the corner, he could make a small video every day, debunking/confirming a meme in each.
The absurdity of the Ork meme originated from a single quote by a junior member of the Adeptus Mechanicus having and Ork Shoota to investigated, and he said "It is so crude it shouldn't work, but it does - it is infuriating!" And people couldn't read subtlety.
Is the subtlety that while Orks are a bunch of brutes, they are still capable of cunning works of brutality? I mean Orks are both brutally cunning and cunningly brutal just like Gork and Mork. Their weapons and vehicles maybe so crude that to a non-Ork they should not work but Ork cunning made built them so they work as intended for the Orks.
the thing about the blood ravens being kleptomaniacs comes from how there's a ton of stuff being attributed to other chapters that you can find in dawn of war 2 like you said, but the thing that people always miss is that you're not supposed/able to recieve all of it in a single playthrough, since they randomly drop. so for a single player's individual experience, you should really only come across 1-2 pieces of wargear that say they were gifted by another chapter, however when you look at them all in the big picture that gifted quality starts to show up a lot. so it gets blown way out of proportion by looking at it all at once, when a player was never meant to see it all at once, and so the "canon" of what stuff the blood ravens actually had was meant to differ from playthrough to playthrough.
Yeah the games had to have a Relic system thing and giving them ones from others didn't go well
I mean while true, at the same time, there's tidbits in the flavour text of the relics that also build up the meme that they might have illegitimately collected relics from other chapters. Example:
Pistol of Baal - A unique Mark III Bolt Pistol, this relic has the trademark bloody teardrop of the Blood Angels stamped upon the pistol's grip. The Chapter's records indicate that this weapon was acquired during a ceremonial exchange of arms between themselves and the Blood Angels in the 37th Millennium, though oddly, the Blood Angels possess no records of such an exchange
@@NimbusEntry iirc there's also another one where the lore text heavily implies the Blood Ravens murdered an Inquisitor who was getting a bit too nosy around their stuff and their plasma gun/cannon just somehow ended up in the Chapter's armoury.
Last time i was this early the emperor was just a bunch of shamans
8:21 Commander Farsight - the Char Clone of the Tau whose Mecha is red which allows him to go 3 times faster and has a cool sword that cut through anything and absorb the enemy lifeforce.
5:00 Adeptus Mechanicus are actually pretty scary when it comes to turning unlucky schmucks into servitors and Skiitari along with being very protective of their tech they make and maintain and abhor innovation with Belisarius Cawl as the exception.
Yes and not abouch of Toaster fiddlers
And their weapons are total war crimes: white phosphorus ammunition, radium-coated ammunition, electric shock weapons that can stop the heart of whatever they target, pistols that fire gamma raditation that turns the target into blackened outline on a wall.
Cawl is a relic of a better time, of the 2nd Golden Age never come about.
There are other less ambitious innovators who tried to skirt the limit of innovation with low successes
@@huntermad5668 Yeah the strider bird mount guy. He jury rigged a way to make those damn things work. However, that was inventing and thus no one else was even ALLOWED to learn how to do it...and the guy was killed in action. So now they have the damn things run in a giant hamster wheel because they are deathly afraid that if they stop working they will never get them working again. Whenever they need some they just corral the number then need and move them into a small wheel on a ship for transport. THIS is how crazy they have gotten about tech inventing.
They don't just abhor innovation, they abhor understanding itself (which is why being a "scientist" is both an insult and one of the worst accusations they can make). Even the pre Horus Heresy Mechanicum were ignorant to the point of not knowing how even simple electrical switches worked.
"Since it's time to fix my mess and clear this shit up", Ah so he's aware.

About the "Inquisition always blow up planets", there is actually a specialised Inquisitorial Ordo that monitors the practice of Exterminatus : the Ordo Excorium.
Think I will go out to touch some grass...
Reading this made me wanna touch grass😂
Ok I’ll grant you that the Space Wolves aren’t supposed to be purely wolf themed, but honestly I feel like some writers forget that. The fact that everything has to be named after wolves to a point where we need a lore (or head canon Idk) explanation for why is pretty funny.
Also I think the thing that makes them “furries” is the whole having wolf DNA and occasionally turning into wolf men. Something the other animal themed legion don’t quite do.
Automatically assuming werewolves are furries makes me think youre a furry yourself that wants to relate to werewolves, its seriously weird.
@@umpxfajmzannexcept that calling werewolves furries has been around forever and is nothing new? It’s not an uncommon notion, I don’t know why you’re acting like you’ve never heard this before. Even back in 2010, if people were playing Worgen in Cataclysm, it was common for them to be called furries. You can argue it’s a stupid joke, but it’s not a new concept.
In fact, the closest any of the animal-themed chapters besides the Wolves get to turning into humanoid animals is the Space Sharks, and they just end up with shark skin, teeth and eyes.
Space wolves literally growl, howl, and turn into fucking werewolves. They're definitely furries.
@@Jitterzz No, werewolves have only ever been regarded as furries...by furries. Literally everyone else considers werewolves as an actual viable nightmare fuel level of myth/folklore.
Also if you think 2010 is worthy of a "back then" you are too young to be in such a discussion mate. That is still recent as far as history is concerned.
A werewolf is an apex predator that takes out vampires by the dozen. That is their mythology. They are hate, anger, and bloodlust rolled up into a creature that is designed to hunt relentlessly. A furry is a goofball with unnatural hair that gets upset by misgendering and other woke nonsense.
The problem with space wolves is so many of the authors lost sight of the actual direction they were originally designed in. They were supposed to have units names after various viking things, and DID when they were first released. They had scout units called Munin and Hugin that were robot bird drones. They had Swords of Surtur that belched flames upon stabbing them in the enemy. They even had a 'raiding party' rule where if one marine charged you could have every single marine around him charge as a single action (meaning free movement for all the others). They had combat bikes named Sleipnir (Odin's 8 legged horse) that had their own unique rules and extra sets of guns other bikes didn't have. Then there was the 'All-Father's Sight' upgrade you could do to unit commanders as an upgrade to their helmet that upped the accuracy for the entire squad.
The authors and GW being idiots is why everything got renamed to wolf this and wolf that. Which ruined the vibe of the whole legion as being way to on the nose from what it was. The whole reason they were named Space Wolves was from the phrase "Wolves of Odin" and had nothing to do with actual wolves in the first place. The guy that created the Space Wolves sadly didn't get to be the one to keep naming and creating their units however.
Still waiting for the video about how each of the pre heresy primarchs would rule or destroy the imperial if out in Guillimans shoes as imperial regent.

Kinda like trayzen and his inquisitor penpal
Pretty sure trayzen is the only one who enjoys their interactions considering he trapped the inquisitor in a literal maze known to drive most mortals mad when he gave her one of his pokeball devices.
Yeah I'd love that. And Guilliman has to be lonely stressed as f**k so it'd be nice for the guy to find companionship. And also it'd be nice for the Imperium to stop be so grim dark to the xenos when they have tyranids to fight and could really use the help.
@@atashgallagher5139 I hate how if you've read one space marine book you've basically read them all. All the standout space marine characters are the ones like guill, fabious, Dante, the lion (in the new book not in HH), the night lords etc don't buy into the imperiums bs and are actually interesting characters with personality that isn't just. "I'm a big broody bad ass who loves to fight and is a good soldier and burns heritics and always is loyal or else I die.

Kharn actually is sometimes not enranged and his voice during his moments of "calmness" is describes as "low and measured and even soft" and his features are discribed as " long and series with a nobility that belies his murderous capabilities" and is a brillant tactician capable of taking command of a fleet and the heretic astartes and mortals in his command with detail and nuance.
He’s also remarkably well spoken when not enraged, he gives off a very noble and sophisticated air. Tho he does flip to murderous bloodlust on a dime

The only massive threat would be the Eldar empire failing and the Tyranids. Or any other geo political conflict between the other xeno races and humanity.

Poor Salamanders unable to find the rest of Vulcans artifacts because they haven't thought to check the Blood Ravens collection.
Fun thing about the Orks is that their ingenuity and stupidity with their innate psy powers help them make memes turn into canon lore. I'm not 100% sure, but the "purple color is for stealth" started as a meme and joke and then turn into canon by GW. Because of this sometimes I think the Ork lore is written by the 40k dank group of reddit making memes about orks and the best become true.

@primary2630 no, Alpharius 2nd got himself kilked. Alpharius 1st had given Alpharius 2nd his name and called himself Omegon. When Alpharius 2nd died of stupidity, Alpharius 1st, who was going by Omegon, simply resumed his original name. Alpharius 2nd was never actually called Omegon.

Hot take: Fanboys and memers did more damage to the lore of Krieg than even GW.
That goes for the entirety of 40k tbh, and it’s always the fanboys that have never even read a single 40k book either
Also, damage the community as a whole. See way too many people shit on warhammer because they think everyone wants to be n@zi or live in the imperium. I laugh at all these idiots but there have been subsects of the community that have ruined the outside view.

Superb video as always @majorkill.
Could you make a video dedicated to the Navigators, the major houses, their politics, relation to the overall Imperium and factions, etc?
I love the level of responsibility you approached this topic with. Some of these memes are so entrenched in the collective zeitgeist even the Death Corps of Krieg couldn't storm them.

In the harrow master book there was only one warband that said I am Alpharius out of all of them. Everyone thought they were goofy. A lot were throwing insults
Hell yeah, back to back videos.
Memes for the meme throne
Just to highlight how bad shit has to be before they'll slam their foreheads into that big red button and destroy a planet, _Darktide_ is a thing. A world literally infested with Nurglite madness to the point where daemonhosts and chaos spawn are regular occurrences and Imperial forces are basically in a stalemate against one of the most difficult Chaos factions to remove, and they're still sending ground teams trying to win the war instead of going scorched earth.
A lot of that goes to the fact that if Inquisitor Grendyl and his warband lose Atoma Prime they effectively lose the entire Moebian domain along with it so using an Exterminatus on the planet would just be giving a massive W to the forces of Chaos for no benefit. The first Space Marine set on the forge world of Graia also had similar reasons for not getting exterminatus'd either, that it's manufactorums were capable of producing Warlord class titans which isn't something the Imperium or Admech will simply throw away without a tooth and nail fight for it.
As a melburnian, this upload schedule is perfectly timed for pumping out a vid to fall asleep to. Midnight to 1am uploads are perfect, and if i task asleep too early, i rewatch in the morning

Nice change of pace with the vid! Great for the newer warhammer fans. Hopefully the blood ravens don't steal the mechanicus's toasters 😮
So what I'm understanding, is that the Blood Ravens are the British, and their vault is the British Museum. Got it 👍
Remember kids, it is also cannon that the Alpha legion made a planet rain snakes.
But the orks belief being reality breaking is still funny.
Agreed, also it reminds me too much of spiral power in Gurren lagann.
For someone to figure out why there is a correlation betwenn Tau and comunist. Just look to the coment section on any video about Tau made by 40k facts for example. The meme came with the fact that they like to project the beliefs about socialism and comunism in Tau. And everytime that GW made something more grimdark about the Tau they don't like to day the least.
Thanks for the Tacticus coupon Majorkill!
Man, I’m actually disappointed that nothing is going on between Big G and Yvrainne 😂😅
It is a shame there are no major Tyranid memes.
'Nom nom nom' kind of counts, I'd say.
When it comes to the ork power of belief it's really good to remember that their instincts are programmed/designed/encoded in their DNA and I imagine much of why it works is because they're all in agreement. If you have to convince one of anything it goes against that.
Minor thing about the magpies: They do actually have at least one (in game) canonically stolen weapon. One of their scout sergeants stole a vindicare assassin's sniper rifle, I'd have to hunt down the exact weapon again but it's there
Majorkill really woke up today and decided to look like Koga Shuko from the 90s Double Dragon movie
You need to make these more often to negate the damage inflicted by Bricky...
Could you make a video on some of the individuals that were protected by the Aquilan shield and how these individuals may have saved the Emperor?

I heard somewhere (A Weshammer video maybe?) that the modern 42nd millennium Alpha legion doesn’t really do the “I am Alpharius” thing, and only one or two war bands still do it.
Another thing about the Kyrptman blowing up planets thing, he actually had the planets evacuated prior to the Exterminatius happening
Majorkill you should do a video on the life of a chaos cultists

In regards to the Ork Waaagh!
Orks cannot pick up a stick and turn it into a gun, but I am fully convinced they can load .300 Blackout into a rifle chambered in 5.56 without any repercussions.
Honestly, part of me wonders if Alpharius actually is alive, as a drmon primarch.
Perturabo definitely killed Fulgrim during the angel exterminatus events, but doing that is what allowed fulgrim to complete his transformation.
Alpharius wasn't actively trying for it, but he could have possibly become a mass intelligence that can assume control of any legionnaires who have donned the persona of Alpharius in whatever mission they are carrying out.
In essence, every alpha legionnaire following alpharius' aims literally is alpharius until alpharius no longer needs them to be.
A missed oppurtunity for a Kaldor Draigo cosplay on this one. A bit dissapointed i must say Major.

There is no way the Bloody Magpies aren't thieves. It's referenced in DoW and Space Marine. Hands down my favorite chapter. Was it ever confirmed if their gene father is Magnus?
It's basically sitting in the 'All but outright stated to be' category regarding Magnus.
You could probably convince Orks that eating bananas will make their teef grow better and make their guns shootier, and that would work. But this is more or less piggybacking on the fact that bananas are yellow, the color of wealth and shootiness.
pretty cool
You take that back Majorkill our G Man is getting lucky with Eldar; so is the Lion.
" ' do the space wolves f~ck dogs?' well im sure its happened but no" is something i can perfectly visualize coming directly from the mouth of leman russ himself, likely while taking the prosecution stand at the council of nikea
Trazyn the Infinite: the one example where the memes don't do the source justice by being over the top enough.
So as to paraphrase @n_athos on Mr Bones 40K video "Who are the Space Wolves," Wolf is used about 13 for their units, Dark Angels use it 14, and Death Guard use it for everything. Then there's the Blood Angels who used every word possible to describe blood.
The reason the orc banana nuke wouldn’t work is because their belief power actually has rules, it’s a gestalt psychic field, so there would need to be enough psychic energy to cause a giant nuke sized green explosion, and also having something that channels orc power, like a bomb, as oppose to some random humy food, prob would help. But if gaz threw it and they had been hyping it up and there was a giant wahhhh happening etc, the random useless object into wah energy bomb could happen imo.

I think the best example for the Orks is in “The Siege of Casrellax” an Iron Warrior ate an Ork pilot’s brain in order to fly an Ork bomber to relative safety and the controls consisted of start, fast, faster, fastest with no breaks, and a lot of parts a normal plane would need missing, the Orks can takeoff, dog fight, and land no problem… except for standard Orky nonsense usually resulting in a good laugh from other Orks
