I like to say the Tyranids have a single weakness holding them back from consuming the entire galaxy, a weakness the empire is adapt at exploiting: They don't have enough named characters.
The problem with tyranids is if they win there's no story to be had unlike orks which are funny, or necrons who has some surprisingly interesting characters.

The morale phase is weird, it either matters a LOT, or not at all. To be fair, GW seems to be making some sort of last gasp to make it relevant again. A lot of things have lost fearless aura, for example GSC Patriarch. It's now down to a much worse "ignores combat attrition modifiers" effect.
Necrons: Troops: Warriors, Immortals HQ: 8 unique characters, lord, overlord, catacomb command barge. 4 crypteks, total, 15. We have WAY to many HQ units, not enough troops units.

Heck my gf literally told me to relax and leave half the dishes for her to do in the morning so I stopped the video when I got to the part of the Thousand Sons and spared the rest to keep company while sweeping the floor this morning. Also the huge amount of dishes is kinda normal for us since we are Italian and we cook like stereotypical Italians do. PSA: sharing chores is a fundamental part of having a functional relationship even if it's bothersome and if you can find something that makes it better you absolutely should do that.

I love that that's the in universe reason for the naming convention. Then you realize actual game designers/authors decided it would be fine to just to replace every adjective and noun with the word 'wolf' 😂

I picked up the Black Templars box to start my first ever army because I love my xenophobic, fanatical super soldiers and I read about their love of the Crusader pattern Land Raider. Wanted to get one only to discover that the Primaris can't even use it. I have no words.
It is weird that melee combat has become such a staple skill on the battlefields of the future, isn't it? Even in close-quarters urban settings, you're better served with a short-barreled rifle or pistol than a machete, and most armies just give you a combat knife, almost as an afterthought.

5:50, I know it's a joke, but technically, Sanguinius knew he was going to die to Horus. He had just barely survived fighting Kh'Bandha, and he foresaw his death at the hands of Horus. But he also knew he would be able to provide the weakness in his armor that the emperor could exploit to vanquish Horus. And so he dove headfirst into his destiny and ultimately his death for the Imperium.

i've been a long time casual lore fan of the 40k universe. as with many casual lore andys, leutin and the gang were my gateway to this universe. but this video, while obviously meant as a meme, has done more, relatively speaking, to help me understand the factions than hundreds of hours i've spent listening/reading to the tales of the universe by others. i think that speaks to the depth of the universe as a whole for this to be the case, but really, just wanted to let you know! thoroughly enjoyed it :)

"sorry you have to many organs you can get in". i know its to not invalidate firstborns but maybe balance the firstbborns to keep them relevant?

Its probably to keep primaris vehicles relevant. The land raider is way cooler than anything the primaris have for vehicles.

I picked up the Black Templars box to start my first ever army because I love my xenophobic, fanatical super soldiers and I read about their love of the Crusader pattern Land Raider. Wanted to get one only to discover that the Primaris can't even use it.

Im not a Primarus hater, but I think they definitely should have just released them as updated model kits instead of a whole new army.

It is weird that melee combat has become such a staple skill on the battlefields of the future, isn't it? Even in close-quarters urban settings, you're better served with a short-barreled rifle or pistol than a machete, and most armies just give you a combat knife, almost as an afterthought.
Its sort of justified by making body armor better than ranged attack, but of course its nonsense, and only really justified with the rule of cool.

i've been a long time casual lore fan of the 40k universe. as with many casual lore andys, leutin and the gang were my gateway to this universe. but this video, while obviously meant as a meme, has done more, relatively speaking, to help me understand the factions than hundreds of hours i've spent listening/reading to the tales of the universe by others. i think that speaks to the depth of the universe as a whole for this to be the case, but really, just wanted to let you know! thoroughly enjoyed it :)
