    Excellent and thorough job! Glad you got to sound deaden your Fit. Now finish the job and do the doors and the floor! I also sound deadened my entire Fit and put on 195/60r15's with Konig Heliums as well. I started at 78db @ 60 mph and ended up at 66 db @ 60 mph.
    Also, the sound deadening on the doors near the speakers *GREATLY* improved speaker clarity. You'll see what I mean.

      The roof and the front half of the floor boards are next for sure. I'm also getting a cone 3d printed for the front of my road shower. That's the main source of the roof rack noise.
      Where are you taking your reading's from? I'm sure if I measured from the center of the car it would be even quieter.
      I'll try to test/film everything that way for the next video.
      Funny how my video, then your comment came full circle :)

      @@HondaFit4Adventure Social media is pretty cool at times. :)
      My measurements were from the center of the front seats. I did the sound deadening job in the following order: 1) front doors, 2) rear doors, 3) hatch+trunk, then 4) floors.
      3) made the least difference from where I measured, so you should expect a lot more improvement from the other areas!

      @@JuneNeko I agree with #3.
      However, while car camping this is the coldest spot in the car so I might insulate it some more acoustically and thermally.

    Wow this is amazing thanks for sharing. Huge difference even just listening with the AirPods. The loud road noise is one of my few complaints about the Fit and this video is very helpful. 👍🏻

      Thanks Ethan,
      I think the noise is almost every Honda Fit owners biggest complaint. I find myself just turning up the radio, lol.
      I know the way I measured the dB readings wasn't the best but I'm glad the gopro was able to pick up the differences between everything.

    • @HondaFit4Adventure
      @HondaFit4Adventure  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have yet to do my door panels.
      What made the door panels a pain? Maneuvering into all the little crevasses? I did the hatch panel which was very much like a door with all the little pockets. I also just learned that the cheaper sound deaden-er still work as good but may weigh slightly more compared to the name brand stuff.

    Hi there, do you have a video that includes instructions on how to remove the rear passenger floorboards? Can't figure out how to get those clips off but you do it in this video. Looked around but couldn't find anything. Thanks!

      Hi Olympia, do you mean the plastic trim that runs along inside by the the bottom of the doors?
      If so, I think I briefly covered it during this video. th-cam.com/video/F6z0ju60Tjo/w-d-xo.html

      I agree Joshe, that's why I put some slightly larger tires on the FIT. I gained a 1/2" of ground clearance. It's not much but it was an easy thing to do and every little bit helps. th-cam.com/video/wn21IUFnlTQ/w-d-xo.html

    What kind of tires did you installed? And suspension.
    In Looking to improve ride comfort on my 2015 fit

    • @HondaFit4Adventure
      @HondaFit4Adventure  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The tires I installed are called Riken Raptors.
      They were pretty cheap tires but they sounded a lot better then my old pair.
      I'm still on the stock suspension but I'm looking into getting these.
      stores.axionind.com/honda-fit-gk5-2015-d2-rs-series-coilovers/
      Speaking of ride comfort the seat is terrible.
      I'm going to try out seat extenders soon!
      This will give you the ability to extend your seat back an extra 4 inches.
      I'm going to swap the seat out for something else if that doesn't help.

      Thank You!
      I would say 6-8 hours.
      1 hour to remove everything especially if it's your first time.
      4-6 hours of installation covering and rolling every square inch.
      1 hour to reassemble the car.

      @@HondaFit4Adventure …ok, think I messed up. Got started with the front doors a front seat area. After your installation back, did your SRS light come on? If so what did you do to reset it? I made sure all the connections where back. 🤔Gonna tackle the rest of the car but this light thingy….feeling a bit irritated. Thank you again .

    • @HondaFit4Adventure
      @HondaFit4Adventure  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm just about to do my doors. I heard it improved the sound quality from the door speakers.
      IMO, A good set of tires does a much better job then covering the floor.
      Insulating the roof made a huge difference, but I also have a roof rack.
      I've debated getting a Pilot or a Odyssey.

      Floor boards - No - Investing in higher quality tires is much easier.
      Headliner - Yes - If you're a roof rack user.
      Doors - Yes - Quick, Easy, Mainly improves audio quality.
      Here you can watch a before and after comparison of all 3 installations th-cam.com/video/kNTFIwsPPhA/w-d-xo.html
      At the 2 minute mark, you can see the thermal insulation benefits of the sound deadener.
