Des, Ray, I love your content. This time I was shocked by the length of the episode…once I’d started I watched right through it 😅and I realised, Ray, from you telling your story that I must have been turning to your website for advice since the early days, simply the best source of reliable insights
Awesome video as always! Gotta say some time ago, I always saw you (like Des says) as competitors. But more and more realized that your videos are complementary to each other and I actually save and watch both of yours whenever a new product drops. Wish more success to you both!
Would be cool to rope Shane in on the "blacklisted" conversation - his misadventure with the Shimano powermeter cranks seems an epic journey of disaster.... 🤣
Finally got round to watching this episode. Been saving it so I can really absorb the content😊 I finally know what happened to the Nix BioSensor review which never materialised😅
Meeting through Tinder for tech guy was a lie? 😮 How can I belive anything Des says anymore? 😁 Great stuff, as usual, guys. And that part with Ray carrying expensive tech stuff in paper bag is just gold.
Sorry!!! It was on my todo list to go Amazon shopping for Tuesday actually…and then, umm, well, I explain what sideswiped my Tuesday plans in the episode. 🤣 next week! (-Ray)
Hey guys, whatabout The Fit File becoming a joint business. Expand the scope and range of tech investigations . Working as a team you will be pure gold.
Which podcast recording software are you using? I’m thinking in starting a podcast (more audio) and would love to know your views on best ways to record/editing. Thank you!
5mins in and loving it all ready. Interesting (for Ray only maybe😂).. I still have on my main running screen.. lap pace and actual pace.. because of Ray and his forerunner 305 data fields recommendation (oh god,.. I hope I'm recalling it right🤔🙉😂).. in those days it just wasn't a handy setup.. it was needed because how much variance the GPS pace would show. One second it said you were Usain bolt. And the next second you were a sloth
Pretty sure I can speak for both of us but not really. It's more about testing as many features as we can to provide as much detail as possible, whether that's a watch, a bike trainer, or other gadget. For instance, the Nix sensor, while very interesting, won't get the views or clicks vs a watch but we've spent a lot of time diving into it. (Des)
Appreciate you both, thanks for doing what you do 💪🏼

Thanks so much!
Fun different video! Really enjoying the Fit File so hopefully there are many more to come!
Definitely!
Good luck on the hike Ray! Please don’t die.
🤣🤣🤣
Update: Did not die. Mostly.

I'm worried that the release date was April 1st but I'll check it out as I like both your channels.
It was March 31st for about 1/3 of the world when we published ;)

Very interesting and useful for people who want to try do what you been doing for years. I love podcasts and this is one of the best for this year.
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks!

You guys are the best. Thanks for all the work you do!!
Thanks!
I really enjoy this type of behind the scenes video. It was very informative. Cheers, guys.
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks!
That's interesting you have so many unfinished projects. It makes sense now why what we see is so good.
Thank you guys, this made my train trip a lot better 😀 Btw, did you reveal the last 1.5 embargo options? 😀

You guys should consider doing timestamps, youtube can even segment videos and show the timestamps in the sidebar if you set it up.
Hey Ray, you may want to get a boom mike holder, because there's a loud thud every time your arms touch the table, and you talk with you hands a lot 😉
Can unfortunately confirm that, have been considering giving you feedback earlier. Really noticeable with my in-ear headphones
I was listening in my headphones and I sware I was convinced someone upstairs in the office I'm at was stomping their feet on the floor.
@@dyshuk Haha same here, finally the mystery is solved!

@@thefitfileha ha, looking forward to the next one ! Cheers

Praying for an Instinct 3...
I always watch both of you anyway.
Much appreciated!
Super useful lads, cheers ❤
Our pleasure!

Great work you two
🤙
Lol, you guys SHOULD consult for Garmin AND especially Suunto, those poor guys...
32:57 Instinct 3? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Lets hope so... ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Do either of you budget how many hours you intend do devote to a product review?

This damn new Polar watch is growing on me and I can't justify replacing my Epix Pro 51... :(
if you can afford another watch what's wrong with treating yourself?
Anyone else stare at Ray's wrists trying figure out what he's testing now?
Fun fact, we have the exact same watches on (Des)
@@thefitfile but you hide one hand behind your laptop most of the time
A good or bad habit ;)
Haha, yup. Seems like a Garmin Epix and the latest Polar watch
Do you have a crew? Or one man Army
Great question. I'm (Des) a one-person crew. Ray also has his better half who plays a big, supporting role.
Thank you Des. Hopefully your and DCR Channel grows huge.

@dcrainmaker - you tend to talk way too much and usually tend to wander off the track. Maybe you should learn a thing or two from desfit
