Any idea what is going on with Garmin HRM’s…Pro Plus has been out of stock for months. Is a new one on the way or anyone have any idea if Garmin will restock? Thanks for all the great work

Has anyone found a GPX routes app for Pixel like they have in Apple apps such as Footpath or WorkOutDoors. That’s the one thing holding me back from the Pixel.

Regarding all the stories on how an apple watch saved someone's life. Couldn't you conclude that people with apple watches are more likely to be close to death than people with other kind of watches? Yes this is meant as a joke.

Massive Google fanboy here, but are a few things that are preventing me from buying a pixel watch: - I straight up do not trust the company to keep a product line running for more than a couple of years - The pixel watch is probably the most effeminate watch on the market at the moment. 41:06 Because it going to follow the brand adoption/market share of their phones. Most Android users are probably on a Samsung phone so they are going to buy a Samsung watch to stay with the brand they know and get that "ecosystem" effect. Likewise Pixel phone users that want a smartwatch will stay with Google and get the Pixel watch. And of course Pixel's marketshare is so small its rounding error when compared to Samsung's. All of this of course applies to Apple as well.

The issue with Garmin and Afib is that Garmin allows you to spot-check for Afib via ECG, while Apple supports both spot-checking for Afib via ECG as well as continuous scanning for Afib via PPG (Afib History).

I need help. I can’t decide if moving to AMOLED is worth it. Have you guys gotten used to AMOLED and use it full time? Or do you still use MIP? Thank you 😊

I think personally that the pixel watch 3 is just too expensive compared to the competition. I will wait until it goes on sale

I put a Spigen Tough Armor band and case on my Pixel Watch 3 and it gave me a better look. Hopefully next year they can do a better looking watch.

Not to disagree with Ray, however, I believe the main reason Google content is doing worse compared to competitors is due to the loss of consumer confidence. As a Google fanboy for a long time they've lost me. Google Home assistants have gotten significantly dumber. My Pixel 7 Pro has been a letdown (it constantly loses connection to my carrier). My OnePlus 7 Pro was as competitive except for the camera quality (which I was still content with on the 1+). They also removed free Google Photos storage space when you own their product. They are consistently killing off apps people use. Their Pixel watches were less than stellar prior to the 3 (from the reviews I saw). The only good thing I've seen over the years is their progress on ChromeOS which made my Chromebook a viable option to carry around with me all the time.

I went to get an apple watch the other day and for me it doesn't look anywhere near as nice as a pixel watch so I don't believe it's looks that put people off The square is more functional but it's not the prettiest in the wrist (imo) so it put me off for sure It may be people don't have faith Google will keep supporting it or that the software is still catching up somewhat or simply that it takes time to gain traction The pixel watch bezels are too big for sure Also, most (like me) will wait till the deals are on as at the moment I've seen galaxy watch 7 for almost half the price of the large pixel watch 3 I do like the idea of a pixel watch ultra however

can the 965 catch afib? or is it just for the newer models?

I disagree about the look of the Pixel Watch. I love how the watch is round and you can wear it to match anything. I have people complimenting how nice it is. Unlike the apple watch where its square and makes it look like you have a small tablet on your wrist making it very tacky. One downside is that the 45mm PW3 does not have enough nice 3rd party bands out most of them are for the 41mm PW3.

I can’t use air pods pro but the regular 3 fit perfectly. So I’m thinking about getting the 4 with ANC.

They want the regular Apple Watch to keep its current battery life, to not cannibalise Ultra sales.

I got the ultra 2 from costco for the blood oxygen... I was going to stick with my 6 until the patent dispute was over as I didn't want the huge ultra 2.. Turns out the ultra 2 fits my wrist perfectly... The battery life is amazing... and the display is awesome.

Guys it would be great if you could share thoughts on The Pro's Closet going under. Having bought and sold bikes through TPC, this was really sad to see. Another excessive inventory and low cash flow problem or something else - and with road bikes becoming more and more crazy expensive what does this mean for other parts of the industry?

I would've liked to see, how diving with Enduro looks like, is there any app for that, can it measure depth? Also it is possible to set the background light level of Enduro. From factory its 25%. Its kind of stupid though. They have the ambient illumination level from the solar cell. Why not use that + gesture in Enduro? Also gesture should be adjustable and also backlight scenarios for day and night time separately.

They should just wait two years or more and update then. No point in minor upgrades and charging a grand for them lol. Fenix 8 now and in 2026 or 2027 Fenix 9.

Regarding MIP vs AMOLED. Why is the burn in always ignored away. Even Garmin states: "Image persistence, or pixel "burn-in," is normal behavior for AMOLED devices. To extend the display life, you should avoid displaying static images at high brightness levels for long time periods."

They could have created a really cool smartbike.. They ended up building the SHIT RIDE.. 😅

For me the deal breaker is the titanium lugs don't cover the composit lugs so if you happen to hit a door the plastic lug is going to take a beating. For me, I'm going 51 Fenix Sapphire Solar.

MIP just feels more like an actual watch. Which is something I appreciate as I like to wear it 24/7. If one day the vívomove gets on the level of a forerunner 45 it would be the biggest no-brainer ever for me

There are many bugs in the Fenix8.. Screen brightness in low light conditions makes my Fenix 8 51 Amoled completely UNUSABLE!!! Also the watch lags even in the watch face menu.. it’s a horrible experience, never had these issues with my Fenix7X or my EPIXPRO 51!!

I’m surprised you guys haven’t reviewed the amazefit t-rex 3 on either of your channels, a lot of people are wondering if this is at the request or influence of Garmin, would you guys be able to dispel this?

I would have went with Enduro3 if they had it come in 47mm case.

I‘m upgrading from a 6X sapphire to the Enduro 3 because of the flashlight. The 7X Pro Sapphire is currently 10% cheaper so it was a no brainer to get the enduro 3 for me. I‘m fine with MIP

For me, a MIP is much more practical and beautiful as a watch, in addition to the autonomy and not having to charge the watch almost like a mobile phone. I used to have Samsung watches and I was delighted with those watches and the beautiful Amoled screen, but I got tired of taking my watch off one day and another day not. Just got Fenix 8 , it’s a lovely watch but it’s going back, have you guys actually used this at night ? Auto dimming . With no work around the face is so dim it’s virtually unusable.

I am considering purchasing the product, but only after the ECG feature is released for Europe as well. I previously owned the Venue 3, and there were rumors that the feature would be available in Europe, but that did not occur. Therefore, I will wait and refrain from purchasing another Garmin product until all features available in the US are also released in the EU. 🇪🇺⌚️

I found the Fenix solar unreadable indoors without the backlight. For a solar powered watch that I can use diving, or with a compass, I will take my Citizens every time.

Made my day finding that this is now a podcast between these guys! Good review sirs! To each their own but it might be time to upgrade and relegate my Forerunner 920xt (the OG Square body trisports watch, which is still rocking as my daily!) to the tribars on my bike. I'm a guy with thick wrists but these watches are getting goofy big, hell, I'd do the 43mm if it could be configured in solar. I'm up in the air on F8 47mm colors though. The black is classic sleek and understated but the titanium (if switching out the yellow band) would also look good and not look like every other tactical/trisports watch bro that's out there. The amoled is beautiful but I'm thinking that the benefit of having to charge less often would be worth it with a solar version.

Isn't the enduro also the perfect watch for us long trail hikers. The Wonderland's, JMT's, PCT's, etc.. audience is a perfect target for these. Thanks guys and hope you make an appearance back in Seattle some day Ray.

Can you currently, or do you expect you would be able to in the future (any software incompatibilities?), have the watches with microphones read back text messages to you? And also, to compose text responses, and send thru the watch? Similar to how Android Auto works, while driving. These questions assume the watch is paired to your nearby phone, but that the phone is inaccessible/outside of listening distance. To this end, maybe the watches need something equivalent to an Android Auto mode, to take over some phone functions, while in active use.

Very sad that they removed titanium back cover from enduro and now even fenixes are speced as "metal back cover" (uncertain if it is titanium). I had a bad iritation from FR245. I won't buy another Garmin or another watch with a plastic back. Realy thrustrated. Might get Enduro 2 or fenix 7 pro then.
