Thank you all for bringing back the podcast. I've been a long-time follower of your work and share your passion for sports tech. I have a suggestion: why not start the podcast with a wrist check? Share what you're wearing and why. Cheers!
The smart move was getting people on it early so that the one's on the fence or who would never consider this have several months to reconcile the price.
I would like to see some more invisible everyday high-end products from garmin like Withings nova or a ring or even a band. I am somehow tired of wearing a huge epix all the time 😊
I'd love for companies to make bands again. What Google did to fitbit (that brand was all about community for me, and I'm not alone.....) was... I don't have the proper word, but ridiculously strange. I can't be the only person who would wear a minimalist band with a changeable strap.
waiting for garmin to come out with a real cellular connection watch. I'm not a 2 watch kinda guy, but I'm tempted to buy a pixel 2 watch that i can take along my FR 955 on the trails. hope garmin doesn't keep me waiting much longer.
As a DC Rainmaker supporter and also fan of Des I wanted to congratulate you to the new podcast. I’m not sure if I’m the only one, but may I suggest that on the TH-cam videos you turn your position in a way that it seems like you’re talking to each other (perhaps just by 45 degrees), and also once in awhile to the audience. At the moment it looks like you’re just taking turns to say something into the camera to the audience and it’s not an interactive conversation between the two of you. I hope it makes sense and looking forward to the next episode
Appreciate the feedback! Alternate angles is definitely on our list at some point. At the moment we're just trying to get the fundamentals dialed in (which funny enough, the second episode turned out to be less smooth than the first 🤷♂️). Thanks for tuning in!
For the size of Pixel Watch 2, it is like 2S in Garmin nomenclature. I wonder how battery life of a Pixel Watch 3S, 3, 3X would be - perhaps there are prototypes internally, but surely that would be interesting to see.
Agree with all that Ray had to say about the existing treadmill market. It’s long overdue some innovation. I have a $1000 treadmill, it’s ok, it works but I wouldn’t recommend that a friend spent $1000 to buy the same treadmill. It has some bluetooth connectivity but there’s weird stuff like it only connecting to a few very specific Polar heart rate straps (not even all Polar straps). I have my doubts about its durability if I was a better runner capable of running at 12 mph and it would be way louder than the Wahoo unit at that speed. People might not like the $5000 tag but stuff like that free run mode will trickle down into cheaper treadmills (eventually) so let’s give credit to Wahoo where it’s due
Always enjoy the insights both of you bring to the table. A question from a Wear OS user (PW1 hardware). Google had no "fitness presence", so they bought FitBit. I think they expected it to be plug-and-play and magic would happen. It didn't. They also (as you mentioned) don't have any hardware other than the 40MM watch at present and absolutely no mention of anything new forthcoming in the rumor mill. Alphabet has a market cap approaching 2 TRILLION dollars, US. Do you foresee Google finding an existing hardware company (Coros, Suunto, whatever) and simply buying that? That would speed up R&D of a much bigger hardware portfolio, as well as give them a huge amount of software and knowledge to go after that market that you mentioned in the 53-minute mark of the video (the people who want a GREAT athletic-training watch that is ALSO a smartwatch)? They are tip-toeing right now when the competition is in a full-blown sprint. They need to do something radical, IMO.
Interesting smart watch discussion. I've mostly been Garmin for some time now with a 965. I'd love better smartwatch features and even cellular at some point. Garmin seems to have abandoned cellular and I also wonder if their underlying OS can effectively accommodate more smartwatch features or if wearOS is a better future path. I do fall into the group that wants all of the sports features but only needs maybe 8hr max workout/revent battery life.
It’s well past time to cut miles, particularly when you have an international audience. If the treadmill market is living in the past, you two can help drag it forward to a sensible system
Wahoo has a warranty that is ridiculously short. Could you comment on this please? This is a very expensive unit $5000 is not a small amount if it’s the same one year warranty I’m not going to buy it and no one should I think

🏃♂️ That’s a treadmill that makes me _want_ to run.
*…never thought I’d say that!* 😂
COROS evolvement is just ludicrous! Good job to the company!
Can’t wait for the “So you wanna review tech!” Episode. 😂🍿🍿🍿🍿
The 2 🐐 fantastic information as always!
The smart move was getting people on it early so that the one's on the fence or who would never consider this have several months to reconcile the price.
Congrats on the top 10/20 spots, good show!🎉🎉😊
Des his lightning game is on point. Ray is all washed out. I noticed this on all his latest videos. Not complaining! Great content. Thanks.
Appreciate the feedback. We'll certainly work on improving with each episode. Thanks!

Ray's Apple dongle game is strong!
Gotta dongle!

Hi! there is also Huawei in smartwatches world!!!

What happens when you switch from Zwift run to another normal Treadmill you might just fly off much like using a Tesla
Would love to see this on Pandora!
Hhmmm is this a buying a pizza oven conundrum again Ray 😂

Woof!😮1 year that's awful. Especially for something with a belt and engine and?braking system? . These days it should be at least 3-5.
I think you need to include more gratuitous mug merchandise drinking shots
No time codes….. 👎
The chapter times are in the description. Was there something different in regards to time codes you were looking for?
