    The squeak sound or "clunk" is the driveshaft yoke needs to be greased up, it could be dry. My 2010 raptor went through the same. Love your truck, especially the special edition. Hope it runs forever

    The 6.2 is a 250k+ mile engine. Take care of the truck and it will run for many years

      Just worked on one that wasn't touched outside oil changes for 350k miles last night, first failure is the starter... which is a bitch to get to but easier than lots of stuff. The raptor 6.2 tends to not break valve springs

    also the "dragging brakes" could be a faulty IWE or IWE Vacuum line. i also had to replace these parts. if you drive it on the street often DO NOT do IWE deletes(this is just my opinion)

      My IWE line apparently took a sharp rock while off-roading. Symptom was metal like grind noise, especially near freeway wall. My shop hooked up a smoke machine to the line and low and behold, we see smoke! Cut the bad piece out w/ a pocket knife, hooked it back up and back in the road!

    I bought a 2010 Black Raptor last week, seats are rough and 4 wheel drive doesn't work,all the other things work and heater core leaks. I got it from a friend who bought this one from a dealer with a 5.4 ,he ordered another one in red with a 6.2, all options he's owned both all the time he's good with maintenance and I bought mine for 8,0000. I love it, even with what's wrong with it. I'll restore this truck as I am the 2 ND owner. Thought you might like the story 👍😁✌️

    Now adays engines can go the distance.. 160 isn’t so much high mileage anymore. My friend who is all ford say that engine can 250 + with ease. And at 160 the only issue was the steering pump? My bimmer had tranny, 3 water pumps, radiator, sunroof, and electrical replaced. I’ll take steering any day

    When I saw this dude get in his truck with his viper sunglasses I was already looking forward to the damage he did to it. It’s inevitable as a young dude who lives somewhere that has access to go play in the woods/desert (especially with vehicles like this) they will beat the hell out of them. I don’t buy trucks from young guys…testosterone mixed with your buddies is for sure going to case damage to their vehicles. I was like this a bit when I was younger, but found out quickly it’s not worth being crazy and breaking a nice truck.

    Upgrade your IWE lines. Get bulk silicon line (and a T-junction so you can go to both tires) and run a new line somewhere OVERTOP of the engine where it is easily accessible, and tie rap it in to look good. Tear that old garbage IWE line out. Basically look at what Forged Offroad has for their silicon line option (cost a fortune) and just mimic it (but again, route it OVER the engine near the firewall so you can access it and install it in like 5 minutes). Absolutely do not buy their overpriced lines unless you want to spend like 400 dollars.

    Does yours have a random engine rattle when you start it up ???and id put the shocks first. I bought my 2013 raptor it had 46xxxmiles on it and the shocks where crap. So i bought some new ones on rock auto so now i have two sets , im going to send the old ones to get rebuilt so im good. Another thing is the sun roof it broke from the rails so i bought a kit from sunroof doctor (i think) and watched a youtube vid on how to do it. Kinda easy just takes a whole lot of time .

    • @jhmotorclub6916
      @jhmotorclub6916  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the input on the shocks. I think I will probably do shocks first now that you mention it. Mine does not have a rattle per say, nothing like a lifter tick or anything. It's hard to describe, but occasionally I will get a deep "thoom" noise (best way I could think of describing it lol). My sunroof seems to be fine, but from what I hear, it is something I need to keep an eye on.

    • @jhmotorclub6916
      @jhmotorclub6916  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Whipple or Roush are both solid choices. The Whipple has more potential for power out of the box. However, even with the Corvette, people have always complained about Whipple's ability in cooling. On the Raptor, I think that is less of a worry. 700HP seems to be where the Raptor sits happy
