  • Well well, it's already been 2 years with my 2014 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor and it now has 84,000 miles so I think it's time for another ownership update. Hope y'all enjoy and get something valuable from this if you're in the market for one. In short, just buy one! Thanks for watching!

      Just picked up a used 2016 GT350 with 3700 miles last week.. she now has 4070.. yeah, it’s freakin fun. Any advice or first mods? Saw the FP resonator delete but then saw you mention something in the comments.

      @@TheWhatYouNeed Yeah resonator delete is all I've done and I would totally recommend it. I just went about it a more unnecessarily complicated way. I would recommend the Corsa X pipe.

    I bought my 2014 Super Crew Raptor in 2015 with 8,000 fully loaded. Today it has 142,000 miles and has been bullet proof.

      107k on my 2014. Going strong. He didn’t mention shock rebuild though. $1kish there for rebuild and shipping. Find a spare pair and you won’t be out a truck while they get rebuilt.

    • @SkoalTide96
      @SkoalTide96 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      What mileage are you looking at rebuilding them?

    • @mfng3839
      @mfng3839 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Fox says 50k road miles. 10k off-road if you’re a beast. If they sound clunky or it doesn’t feel like a boat floating over numbs then I’d throw $1k at a rebuild. Best money I’ve spent so far regarding ride quality.

    • @Captain-Awesome
      @Captain-Awesome 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@SkoalTide96 They say to rebuild them at 100k miles. I think it has a lot to do with where you drive it. I never rebuilt mine and just traded it in with 143k miles for a 2020 Raptor. Here is the cool thing, I paid in the mid 60’s for it it had 8k miles and “trade in value” at 143,000 miles was 27,500 sight unseen!!! That’s half the original purchase price. My wife’s 2012 Landrover LR4 we paid upper 50’s for at 40k miles and it was only worth 6,500 trade value with 138k miles. The Raptors are incredible value!!!!

    Cool seeing the brass rolling around in the bed. I have a 2011 Raptor and I love it. It was my daily driver till I got a corvette. Raptor has 29,000 miles on it. It has been from Amarillo to San Diego twice, Amarillo to Austin several times and Amarillo to Tulsa several times. Raptor pulled a trailer to Daytona Beach with the Harleys in it because my wife was a new rider and didn’t think she could ride from Amarillo to Daytona Beach. She loved driving the Raptor too. It is just the best truck I could ever have. Grand kids love it, my dogs love it. The Corvette is a 2015 and it has 36,000 miles on it so I drive it more frequently. Since coronavirus madness and I retired on my 68th birthday both vehicles are garage queens now. My Raptor got broken into as well, busted driver rear passenger window, they popped the hood and stole my driving lights and some anesthesia billing code books in a brief case.

    Typical dealership. The transmission is sealed for life. In the manual it states this. The only time they recommend a transmission flush is at the 150k mile mark under hard use (off-roading).
    I just passed 100k miles and did my front shocks, rebuilt TSW rear shocks (I changed them out myself. new ones were on a 2-3 month back order), 16 plugs (did the top 8 myself), me plug wires, front diff fluid, rear diff fluid (changed myself) and changed the transmission fluid (myself as well). Everything else I had a mechanic do.

      I would be more concerned about rust in the rocker panels. Go under the truck where the running boards attach and look at it real well.
      As far as I know this is the Achilles heel on these trucks as they have drain ports from the sunroof/bed that lead to the cab corners right above there. Also, they have holes that are covered with fairly unreliable tape that can let water, salt, mud, etc. in. $1k fix to cut out a corner and replace it in my neck of the woods.

    got 2014 6.2 raptor. with 105k km . first week- burned gas pump - cost 800bukcs for all service , 2 months later after second off roading- broken gear box- repair 2k buks ,and so on . truck okay, but its really not that reliable that people are thinking. its very heavy , and this makes its slower than 3.5 2017 . i installed 20 rims FUEL and straight pipes with a pneumatic valve-so any moment ineedquiet or loud- i just press the button. also stock lens light- tottaly shit , i bought all round LED set - thats nice . so thats all.own it a the second car - not fordaily driving for sure. gas consumption too higt , comparing to my 7 seats SUV - at least double in avarage and 3 times driving 65miles on a highway. oh, and a bed- its too shorts, cant load dirt bikes with closed backcover. regret. yeah, and i forgot - it must be BLACK
