Street Speed 717 smart move getting the older version with the v8 saves you 2 grand in front timing chain repairs every year after warranty cough cough turner and for your diesel truck get a electric battery blanket from a auto parts store cause cold batteries are not good at -30F and keep you from replacing batteries yearly or every 2 years

the Ecoboost tho if you owned one compared to a V8 you would understand they just perform amazing not to mention the pulling power we have a f150 yes we had to install air bags or rear but we pull a over 12,000 pound 5th wheel all the time with no problem and pull bobcats and such on regular basis and pulls better than 6.0 250 we had it's crazy.

The 6.2 was just outdated. A 5.0 is quicker than the 6.2, and the high output eco blows both of them away when it comes to performance. I would have loved to see the 6.2 with a 10 speed, I also think they should still have a v8 as an option for the raptor
I think that a lot of us agree with you the old raptors are so much better like I get why they want a v6 in it but the v8 is just so much better all around like you can do so much more with the v8
Reynolds Wilson let,s see in a few years how the new raptors hold up in value. where i live the "old"raptors are selling for almost what they were selling for brand new. and with the v-6 exhaust sound is just wrong. imo.

Not sure how this came up in my feed but my daily/work truck is a Blue Flame Raptor as well. 217k on the clock and I absolutely love it. Zero plans to ever ge5 rid of it too. Good choice!

V6 Raptor IS lame. But... it’s still a Raptor. They look and handle like a beast. Just sound like a kitten.
To fully turn traction control off you have to push and hold the traction control button for about 5 seconds until it says “advance trac off”

I can personally say people would notice if they made North Dakota and South Dakota into one state. There are major differences between the states. The biggest difference is the terrain, North Dakota is flatter where as South Dakota has a much more rugged terrain (with a decent amount of flatter land).

V8 is so much nicer than V6 in my opinion
Dumb opinion. 3.5 is faster, tows more has way more torque and with cat less down pipes and exhaust it sounds like a turbo diesel. So... in what way is the v8 better? Lol.

My uncle had this style raptor and it was a mild build. It had a lot of Bolton’s and it was supercharged I think 700-800hp. And it was rank. I hope you do a engine build to it. It sounded insane.

Bolt ons and supercharger are a “mild” build since the engine stays stock, a fully built engine and a maybe a turbo with 1000+ whp is beyond mild.

Mine had yellow wrench pop up gauges went flat, and it wouldn't shift out of 5th. I like the truck though.
Mike you know you can buy a new looking Ford F-150 with the 5.0 v8 in it. And send it to this company and they make it look like a new raptor. But with the 5.0 in it. And they could also even put a supercharger in to also.

My cousin has a 2013 raptor, straight piped (I believed) and with the Shelby Raptor Bumper and some other goodies. Make me me wanna get one but for the miles I want it in, it’s just not in my price range. I’ll just stick to trying to get a 2014 Fx4 or a platinum

The turbo v6 is better in baja with the turbos its also better at altitude.

Gen 1 Raptors beats the Gen2 Hands down anyday and the Gen2 Raptors are more or less cheap show trucks so more of the public can buy them and call themselves Raptor owners. Gen 1 is the better way to go as you can always upgrade the Gen1 in stages to meet or exceed the little fancy tech in the Gen2. Gen1 Raptors are also becoming more rare as a good percentage of them crashed and were totaled over the years...
Wise buy dude, my dad owns a sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet 2010 Ford Raptor SVT, then old trucks look good.

He does imports but some how I think the mix of your taste in cars and his taste in cars would make an interesting collaboration. Or if you Cory, and Dustin could do vid altogether that would be cool as well. Just some food for thought. Congrats on The Raptor. I wonder what a single turbo set up would do to that thing? Yet you have fast cars and the truck is fast as it is but good for hauling as well. So maybe not a turbo. Ever thought about doing something unique and using a Rotrex type S/C? Or is that not a popular S/C b/c of another reason?
How do you pull this off? "Keep for a while"? That's a truck that's in high demand. No doubt the dealership is losing money by letting you drive it unless you're making some kind of "lease" agreement on it.
