Your clarity of caste system and caste based discrimination is excellent. I am from Gujarat. Everyday we get news about caste based discrimination : non dalit children are not eating mid day meal cooked by dalit cook in Banaskanta. Dalit cant have mutsache or a earing. So many atrocities against them. They can not get rented house in so called savarna locality
Yes, im anti hindu. Hindu is exonym, its persian word. Hindu is essentially nothing but amalgamation of cast and that's why DR AMBEDKAR said, "In order to get rid of cast one must need to get out of hindu fold." Everyone are hindus in front of non hindu people, but amongst hindus there is consciousness of cast and not the consciousness of hindu at all. JAI BHIM
Good one and my friends make fun of me about Racism in the USA; Casteism is nothing but racism against people from the same ethnicity (which is even worse) - never say we did not have slavery, they got inbuilt slaves, why do they get from outside. I am from Andhra - during Andhra Telangana division we even had regionalism too (mild though, mostly micro aggressions).
@Krishiv Nath no I am not. I am just saying that Dr. Ambedkar said casteism and Hinduism are the same thing and that's why the people who opposed the talk on caste see it as an attack on Hinduism
Amazing insight. Cast based problems will remain prevalent unless the people start to realize and acknowledge it regardless of whatever political parties come & go.

Rigveda was not castiest, the later texts are. It started from chandyakya upanishad. But it will be hard for Hindu reinformers to eliminate castism from hinduism because many Brahmins and savarna peoples will not agree with them. Dayananda Saraswati tried but failed.
Sorry to say Vimoh, the people who were aginst the caste talk weren't liberal. They are extremely right wing conservatives if not hindutva nazis. Liberals just believe propping up a business and listening to the both sides of the argument, would solve these generational trauma or discriminations.

I faced caste discrimination many times. I was in depressed, i had to go on medication.
In fact, they have become a slightly different flavour of the same problem.
i refrain from using the word “upper caste “ and lower caste
much better nomenclature would be oppresor caste
and oppressed caste
