This is where you're wrong sir, let me explain :-
      1. There are no reservation except seniority based in promotions under govt. jobs.
      2. Those who already profited from reservations will not go for government job again because it's biggest drawback is frequent transfers that seriously affects your social and educational life but most importantly every youngster from middle/lower-middle class I know and knew always wanted to go for private jobs(IT, petroleum industry, Medical(even nurses are paid more than IAS here).
      3. Look at the level of competition in exams now, 98% candidates don't even have enough IQ to achieve success here competition is between only remaining 2% and more people are going after career in social networking sites, just look at how many youtubers were ex govt. Officers/aspirants and now they have more lucrative career than they ever imagines.
Note :- I'm a retired diplomat and none of my colleagues (Grade A,B jobs) kid even think about preparing for competitive exams like JEE, NEET, UPSC CSE, SSC CGL etc. Because they can achieve much more in foreign lands or setup businesses in India through the contacts we made in our career

In Bihar government school are just worst nobody wants to send their children to government school.. public healthcare is at worst you can't found doctors in government hospital... They are just doing doing corruption even in basic welfare schemes.. People are just migrating for jobs... There is no industry.. According to a study, 22.3% of higher caste Hindus own 41% of India's total wealth. In contrast, 7.8% of Hindu Scheduled Tribes own only 3.7% of the country's assets.
According to a UN report, one third of India's Dalits remain poor. The Agricultural Census of 2015-16 reported that Dalits own only about 9% of the total agricultural land.

It is true that many people who oppose reservation tend to be silent when incidents of caste discrimination or violence against Dalits and other marginalized communities take place. However, they are often very vocal when there is a debate about removing reservation.
There are a few possible explanations for this. First, some people who oppose reservation may not actually care about the well-being of Dalits and other marginalized communities. They may simply see reservation as a threat to their own privilege or opportunities. Second, others may believe that incidents of caste discrimination or violence are rare or isolated events, and that they do not represent the reality of life in India. Third, still others may be afraid to speak out against caste discrimination, for fear of being ostracized or retaliated against.
Whatever the reason, the silence of people who oppose reservation in the face of caste discrimination is deeply troubling. It shows that many people in India are still unwilling to acknowledge the problem of caste, or to take responsibility for addressing it.
It is important to note that there are also many people who oppose reservation who are genuinely concerned about the well-being of Dalits and other marginalized communities. They may believe that reservation is not the best way to address caste discrimination, or that it has become counterproductive. However, they are still willing to speak out against caste discrimination and to work for a more just and equitable society.
It is important to have a respectful and open dialogue about the issue of reservation, and to listen to the perspectives of all sides. However, it is also important to hold people accountable for their silence, and to demand that they speak out against caste discrimination whenever and wherever it occurs.

@@DrakeTheDragonDude And that, for the most part, has already been addressed. You say that it is about the caste but still, it is affecting the individual. What are you trying to say? Like, if someone is in poverty from the upper caste due to death, failed business, etc is it right to snatch their right to education and jobs and give to someone from the lower caste who are already well off? And from the way you are using oppressed and oppressing words who rather support casteism by highlighting those words even though they are irrelevant in today's world.
The best way to get rid of casteism is to get rid of caste and to do that we must treat everyone equally, and by everyone I literally mean everyone. That is why I believe if we are to give aid to people in poverty we should create a system that focuses on the individual rather than their caste. Like for example, give aid to a person who is poor and after he gets rich and has sustainable wealth, take the aid away so that his/her children can't misuse it since they will be born in a family that is no longer poor.

Suppose this year is good for farmer so he is higher income category and then next year it can be vice - versa. And u can check the EWS status everyone can take reservation just by tweak simple things. It sounds easy but it the hardest to implement.
Reservation is positive discrimination. It should be used to annihilate tha caste discrimination not to increase it.

The general candidate remains poor and backward just like his father. Most of the unreserved seats are already taken by the 'backward classes' and the remaining seats are exclusively kept reserved for them to ensure 'equality'. In such a scenario how can we talk about reservation of more seats? Isnt this just a reservation which has vengeance in its mind against the general castes instead of a genuine concern for progress? 1) a person can simply hide their actual income, now they would not only get benefit from government but also tax saving.
      2) Since people can now show lower income and get benifit for it more and more people will show a lower income
      3) much of finance isn't fixed like a business can have huge profits in one year and can go bankrupt the next, a person with a job may not have a job the next month so on and forth
I think the answer could be free education for all no matter the caste or religion or age.

Simple logic, subcastes which are deprived of the reservations that are given to that caste category, due to the few privileged subcastes in the same Reservation category enjoying the reservations IS THE MAIN REASON THAT RESERVATIONS HAVEN'T MADE ANY DENT IN IMPROVING THE LIVES OF THE PEOPLE WHO ACTUALLY NEED IT, at the ground level.
It's no longer about upper vs lower caste, which is the basis of the vote bank caste politics these politicians like to play for their own gain.
It's all about privileged people (irrespective of the castes ST, SC, OBC) enjoying the reservations at the cost of all the underprivileged people belonging all ST, SC, OBC or general category.
    That's all that matters.
Getting everyone out of the underprivileged status and providing them a decent standard of living and facilities necessary to grow and develop IS THE MAIN GOAL OF RESERVATIONS.
BUT THE CASTE POLITICS THESE POLITICIANS PLAY DOESN'T DO ANYTHING GOOD TO ACTUALLY IMPROVE THE SITUATION.
Just a very small example of a reservation category MLA's children are enjoying reservations and have the privilege for better facilities .. will obviously use reservation at the cost of poor underprivileged students in the same category.
This is the root cause, which obviously rhe politicians want to hide .. as for them it is beneficial personally as well as it is beneficial to divide and rule just like the British did.

In the country like India reservation is a must have policy. But, sadly the country is not heading towards B.R.Ambedkar's vision of the complete abolition of the caste based reservation. The reservation is just a tool for the political parties to gain mileage from those sections. Data at any form is needed for sure. Thanks to Mandal Commission, the situation of OBCs has improved a little. But the Ram Rath Yatra & the Ayodhya movement was created to divert from these.
Brahmin Savarnas invented & reinforced Caste system for hundreds of years. Hence, Caste divide is nothing new - it exists in various forms in both villages as well as in Cities.
Getting Caste census will create caste divide is a bogus argument. The idea should be to empower the marginalized people & bring them to positions of power.
Thanks to Brahmin Savarnas occupying positions of power in Judiciary & legislative, the schemes have never benefited the people. Caste census will bring in the data & will help in bridging the gap tgat currently exists.

The concept of Caste division itself is not Indian, it's a superimposition of Spanish/Portuguese caste system and English Class system on India, with the objective of dividing the natives and use them against each other while English hold power and work as a mediator.
Caste was a pyramid scheme which Europeans sold to Indians via their English imposition in Indian society to divide Indians into groups/ghettos and make them fight with each other.

I belong to SC caste from Maharashtra. my grandfather was very poor and could not even afford to provide normal food and clothes to my father. we had no land or asset as such. Because of poor living standards and zero financial support my father could not pursue higher education and thus failed 12th std. he started doing labor work on daily wages for around 30rs daily. as my grandfather was ill and retired all the responsibilities had to be fulfilled by my father. with just 30rs of daily wage he somehow managed himself to get married and as well as marry off his 3 sisters. when he used to get done from work while coming back his financially stable lower middle caste and few upper caste friends use to spend money on alcohol and dance bar. but he saved every penny he could and later on became a civil contractor. since then he started earning well and started investing in lands and real estate. now he owns 3 lands and one flat all on his own. he put me and my 2 brothers into good schools and did not use the benefit of reservation as we were financially good. he always said we are not taking reservation just so the one who really needs it can take the benefit of it. Also, i forgot to mention during his childhood he had to beg to get food for his family and faced a lot of discrimination from upper caste people.

The news is not highlighted doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

    1. RELIGION BASED POLITICS SUITS CONGRESS, BJP, BUT CASTE BASED POLITICS SUITS REGIONAL PARTIES LIKE RJD, SP, BSP ,LJP, Etc. 2. IF CASTE SYSTEM IS GOOD FOR INDIAN SOCIETY THEN, NO ONE SHOULD BE AFRAID OF CASTE CENSUS. 3. AND IF CASTE SYSTEM IS BAD FOR INDIAN SOCIETY THEN GOVT. SHOULD ENCOURAGE INTERCASTE MARRIAGES. 4. NOWADAYS SC, ST , OBCs, ARE CLEVER ENOUGH TO UNDERSTAND BJP'S POLITICS. FIRST OF ALL BJP UNITE THEM ( SC, ST, OBCs) IN THE NAME OF HINDU TO GET THEIR VOTE. BUT ONCE THEIR VOTES ARE TAKEN THESE COMMUNITIES ARE NOT GIVEN THEIR ACTUAL RIGHTS.
