I know a lot of commenters are nervous about reliability, so I’d like to put your mind at ease a little. I’ve had the launch Vertuo line until the launch of the Next and decided to upgrade. The first next was BAD, broke down 4 times in 6 months. Nespresso UK kindly sent me a brand new machine and I’ve been using it 2-3 times a day (and wife also uses it 1-2 times a day) for since 2022 with no problems whatsoever. Problems can occur, that’s life, but my experience has been fairly good up to now; plus if it did go wrong, Nespresso are quick off the line to sort it out. No complaints from me.
I was at work yesterday and my coworker brought this miracle machine into work with her and served everyone coffee straight out of this baddie baby it was awesome coffee let me tell ya! I’m in love and I am worthy of getting my own Nespresso machine for Christmas!!!
Just got mine today, plugged it in for the first time and it almost caught fire. I got the teal and copper one, was so excited and now it's sitting on my porch with a fire extinguisher pointed at it.

Guys, this is lovely, but don’t tell me to put the cup support in place and then have it mysteriously disappear in order for the receptacle for the rinse water to be placed below the spout.

Light didn’t stop flashing first time so unplugged device then plugged in again then it worked. Followed instructions and downloaded app everything worked as instructed and now the husband is buzzing
Pairing issue appears to be a problem with newer operating systems. My Note 20 Ultra will not pair, my wife's Galaxy S20 FE will not pair, but my old Note 4 with Android 6 pairs right away with no issues whatsoever. If you can get a hold of an older phone/OS version, like by trying someone else's older phone if you have to, see if it pairs, it probably will. I have a similar problem with my TCL75Q825 TVs remote app, trying to enter expert picture settings is not possible, just crashes, worked on my Note 20 Ultra before, did some research, found out it's related to newer Android versions, tried it on my old Note 4 and sure enough it works fine.
No wonder mine isn't pairing, I have a Z fold 3. And this is my 3rd irtuo next replacement, I thought this virtuo next model was just crap with Bluetooth pairing
Using an Android phone with Android version 13 & Nespresso App installed & following the instructions on the App failed a few times - with the processing logo active for a while followed by error 1303 message. Then another attempt displayed a different graphic with machine & phone symbols. The phone was overlaid with a brown exclamation mark in a circle & a message: Android 12 & 13 is not compatible with your machine. Try pairing with another device. I used an old Andriod 8 phone kept 'in case' of newer phone misshap; it worked to connect, progressing to the Wifi password entry 7 connection. The A13 phone App does 'work'. This information may be made available by contacting Nespresso in the country that the machine was distributed for sale for help. The Machine settings menu on the App did show Software is up to date - then I presumed that this indicates that there was no up date to be compatible with A12 & 13. Now 5 days later, as the App opened then selecting 'My Machines' page, the words 'firmware Update' flashed up over the Machine settings menu box! I did not observe that any update was performed when the machine was connecting to Nespresso when setting up the connection, now it would be useful to know what was changed or to view the update change log. There is no indication of the software version installed, the version 'date' remains a blank, no numerals displayed. The machine had been disconnected from the power supply a few times since the wifi connection was established, confirming that it was able to reconnect after power was turned off. Opening the General - Factory reset menu displayed 'this machine is not connected' initially, but after this was closed it does show the option 'Start Factory Reset'.
I like Nespresso a lot better then K-cups, which can be of watery - though K-cups have a lot more flavors so I still use it. I like Nepressso’s expresso line, but I mostly buy their flavored coffee which is really good. The big downside to Nepresso is you have to use their coffee or use reusable pods (defeats the purpose of ease of use).
I like how I am asked which country I am located by Nespresso staff (here) and then when you provide the location you are ignored. Now my unit is leaking water from the top right side. It is disintegrating in about a week's time. Also one thing to be aware unlike the other smaller pods you are stuck purchasing the Vertuo pods from Nespresso's website or stores. You cannot buy them at a local store.

Why not do some research before buying such a device? That's like buying a power tool and complaining that you have to use a certain replacement part only from a certain store. Leaks are another thing and are covered under warranty, but as for the capsules being a specialty premium item, you should know what you are buying before doing it.
@@atom069 Leaks and wifi not working. Concerning the capsules I specifically mentioned "one thing to be aware..." I didn't go through the warranty, it went straight back to the store it came from. And now that I am at it, there are no more Targets in Canada (in response to another comments)... That's my experience with the machine, not sure why you get all worked up...

Bought this today from Best Buy. Unit would not pull in water. I could not clean or run any water through unit. The pump was whirring and grinding. Taking back tomorrow and probably NOT looking into getting a Breville unit again.
@Nespresso How many machines should I be expecting to send back to you before I get a properly functioning machine? A Lot of reviews are saying they sent around 3 machines back and are still having little success with the machine itself and are experiencing difficulties with customer support. I like the coffee it makes but I am swayed away from this product based on the Horde of bad reviews lately.

Happened to me the first use when attempting to run the cleaning procedure. Pulled the tank back off and put it on again and an air bubble came out. Then it worked fine.
I received a Virtuo Next as a gift in early January and it worked well for less than a month before it stopped functioning completely. Spent hours on the phone with customer service trying to anything and everything to troubleshoot the machine but to avail. Ended up having to send the machine back to Nespresso to get it fixed in late January and just received it back again today (a month later) with zero fixes. It still does not function whatsoever. Is there any way to exchange the machine for an entirely new one?

I’m having the same issues that people are saying. It leaks water a lot on the bottom, it only brews half the amount that it should, and half the time, I can’t get it to work. The button will flash orange. It’s so inconvenient especially in the morning when I need coffee the most
Hi, I had the same thing one day with the flashing orange button, I removed the coffee pod, and placed it in again and it worked! Not sure about everything else tho as I haven’t seen that problem, but hope this helps at least!

My nespresso virtuo next stops working every couple of weeks and needs to be rinsed, descaled, restarted and generally coaxed into working again. Nothing fills me with more rage when this happens than the slow paced Nespresso instructional videos inexplicably complete with 1970s porn music

I made my first cup which was suppose to be a full cup and it only gave me about an inch of coffee in the bottom of my cup I used the Bianca Leggero pod which shows a full cup ... what am I doing wrong ?

The orange coffee mug blinks once per second. The manual states "reset to factory settings". But it is new and never used. How/why should I reset to factory settings? Is it defective? I only tried to rinse for the first time. Looks like another piece of junk to throw in the pile.

Just purchased today. Took 1.5hr to finally figure out how get it to do the first clean...kept telling me no water. It worked once I inserted the base and tetered my 1l cup on it. Not what the instructors show or video. Why do I need a app to make coffee? Tried to make a cup and it poured an inch of coffee in the cup, and leaked water all over. Will return it tomorrow.

My parents got one of these machines, and the side is broken, and the pre wash is also broken. We got it new from target, but it won't work. The side is not the side with the opening part, it's not supposed to be open at all. The lower clip thing that keeps the side in is too low I think, and it won't stay on. Any way to fix this?

I don't like mine at all...brand new, have watched every tip and youtube help video and tried everything. Finally just made a pot of coffee with my old percolator. It is a frustrating waste of time for a watery cup of lukewarm coffee, if you can get it to work.

A had 2 of these machines, the coffee is top quality but both machines leak water like crazy only after 3 weeks and 2nd machine only after 3 pods I brewed :( I had to mail it in and the company is mailing me a new machine different line. Hopefully this 3rd machine doesn’t die or leak…..

Hi, I just bought the machine and made my first coffee, it was so good!. However, after I opened up the top part again and emptied the capsule, I noticed that there was still a lot of water left on the capsule placement. Is this normal? I would hate it if it is because if water stays immobile for too long that is no good. My old Keurig machine never left any water after every use. Could anyone let me know if there is a solution or do I have to wipe it after every use. Thanks!

well said. my coffee moments are old-fashion, analog, off-line breaks. One day, my 2010 "le cube" nespresso is going to stop working. When that happens, if my only choices require me to pair devices or have internet, I'll go back to filter coffee in a heartbeat.

If I buy this directly from the Nespresso site does it come with the complimentary welcome kit of pods? Every other retailer has it included with the machine (best buy, walmart, target, etc) but I don't see it stated on the Nespresso site that this machine comes with the kit.
App is crummy. Could not login properly after registering (something about not your store). I did password reset and then I was able to login. Now I cannot connect to the wifi... give me a break. Closed the app and reopened, now it connects to wifi but says your internet does not work. Real junky app.
Got mine today. I’m in England. App won’t pair because it says invalid password when I know the password is correct. Tried several times. Got to be an app fault. Disappointed to say the least!

Worked like two weeks and now having various problems, cannot reset the machine, it doesn’t start, when it starts it doesn’t stop and the water just keeps coming. Week ago I was promised that Nespresso will pick up the machine and repair it. Still waiting for that call. The manual is no help. I tried to rinse. The mug light turns orange and the machine whirres. Then it shuts off. The water is still in the tank. Is there a magic step ? Like maybe I have to stand on one foot and say "oh please work" ?
Suddenly, a single press no longer runs the machine. It takes 3 or four presses. Don't know why it start to behave this way. Thankfully, it isnt rinse mode, but actual coffee mode that gets activated.

My question is what is the point of this device when the crema you get from the Plus (an older model machine) is much nicer and more uniform than with the Next (which is the newest model). Is there maybe an update coming to fix that? I live in the US.

You have to make sure the machine is completely unlocked and top lifts completely to eject capsule into compartment ..... I use the breville Nespresso virtuo next and have had no issues ..... just wish I drank regular or 2% milk because my oat milk won’t froth

How often must I descale?
We recommend descaling every 3 months or after 300 uses.

Happened to me the first use when attempting to run the cleaning procedure. Pulled the tank back off and put it on again and an air bubble came out. Then it worked fine.

I received a Virtuo Next as a gift in early January and it worked well for less than a month before it stopped functioning completely. Spent hours on the phone with customer service trying to anything and everything to troubleshoot the machine but to avail. Ended up having to send the machine back to Nespresso to get it fixed in late January and just received it back again today (a month later) with zero fixes. It still does not function whatsoever. Is there any way to exchange the machine for an entirely new one?

The orange coffee mug blinks once per second. The manual states "reset to factory settings". But it is new and never used. How/why should I reset to factory settings? Is it defective? I only tried to rinse for the first time. Looks like another piece of junk to throw in the pile.

My parents got one of these machines, and the side is broken, and the pre wash is also broken. We got it new from target, but it won't work. The side is not the side with the opening part, it's not supposed to be open at all. The lower clip thing that keeps the side in is too low I think, and it won't stay on. Any way to fix this?

A had 2 of these machines, the coffee is top quality but both machines leak water like crazy only after 3 weeks and 2nd machine only after 3 pods I brewed :( I had to mail it in and the company is mailing me a new machine different line. Hopefully this 3rd machine doesn’t die or leak…..

Hi, I just bought the machine and made my first coffee, it was so good!. However, after I opened up the top part again and emptied the capsule, I noticed that there was still a lot of water left on the capsule placement. Is this normal? I would hate it if it is because if water stays immobile for too long that is no good. My old Keurig machine never left any water after every use. The manual is no help. I tried to rinse. The mug light turns orange and the machine whirres. Then it shuts off. The water is still in the tank. Is there a magic step ? Like maybe I have to stand on one foot and say "oh please work" ?

Suddenly, a single press no longer runs the machine. It takes 3 or four presses. Don't know why it start to behave this way. Thankfully, it isnt rinse mode, but actual coffee mode that gets activated.

You have to make sure the machine is completely unlocked and top lifts completely to eject capsule into compartment ..... I use the breville Nespresso virtuo next and have had no issues ..... just wish I drank regular or 2% milk because my oat milk won’t froth
