That is an advertisement points to possible paid review. I have had 4 nespresso machines and NO WAY can someone feel this or any other nespresso machine is reliable. Leaks, inoperative, difficult descale processes. Great coffee when it works. not reliable.

Hi, thank you for this video. I have a Vertuo Next machine and have been using it for about a year-- it was working fine and reading the capsule amounts. It no longer is reading the bar codes on the capsules, and factory resetting doesn't work. When I put in a pod that is supposed to produce 7.7 ounces I get a couple of ounces. Do you have any advice? I unplugged the machine and then did another factory reset. It has now reset and is working properly, reading the capsule amounts. Thank you for the video!

If you reset a capsule type, it will reset all capsules within that range. For example, changing the amount for a Gran Lungo will change it for all Gran Lungo capsules. It will not impact the serving size for other capsules.
My wife and I just purchased a brand new vertuo next, why is it when we use espresso and double espresso size capsules it makes it luke warm? It is not nice drinking almost cold coffee, the coffee only seems to be hot enough when we use the mug size caps.

Hello. You are correct, the VertuoNext reads the barcode on each capsule and brews it to the size and ideal temperature, based off of said barcode. This would only be necessary if you would like to program each capsule to a specific cup size, other than the one that the barcode reads.
So I have the grey Breville Vertuo Next. I put in a double espresso capsule but when I hold down the button it still stops at the preset level of about 1/4 the mug. Holding it doesn't change the level. So to make an Americano I have to boil water separately. Am I doing something wrong?

And how do you reset the entire software? I have the blinking amber light after a descaling event. I've tried descaling while refilling the tank repeatedly until it decides it's done. I've tried ensuring the capsule spinner spins. Nothing. It is kaput.

I have a vertuo next machine. User manual is no help and should be rewritten with all info in as to how machine works and settings. Watching videos is not everyone’s preference or indeed connecting to Bluetooth on the machine to find the video. My problem, besides the lack of instructions, is finding the right capsules. Appears they’ve got to be purchased from Nespresso store only some 2 hours away then have to pay extra for freight. Seems a rort to me and sadly only found this out after I’d bought the machine and used it. Capsules at Nespresso considerably more expensive than those available at supermarkets. Very disappointing all round.
Agreed, the manual is really bad. Great design to include all the languages succinctly but I had to go online to figure a LOT out. Simply too much info was left out
After 12 months, my machine has just stopped brewing?!! I've descaled it once before (literaly thought life had frozen in time, but I got there) and yesterday I had an issue where the machine turned on - whirred, didn't brew, light blinked orange..sooooo - I have descaled and cleaned my machine (slightly with less pain), but it still isn't working, I press the white button, and it whirrs for a bit and then stops. My Vertuo its probably broken one. Its not possible to do factory reset or anything else. Not even to make coffe. When I pushing the button, notthing happend. Shame

Got mine for fathers day last year. After a few months same problem as everyone else. Customer service really couldnt fix it, so they sent me another one. After a few weeks, same thing, but I would get lucky, after trying a thousand times to get it going again. On and off after numerous cleanings and descalings in a 6 month period, and all the time spent trying to get it pour a cup of coffee. After a few hours today I give up. There is a reason you dont see too many nespresso capsules in the stores. Pure garbage.
I had this machine (Breville Vertuo Next Deluxe) for 4 months and this morning it stopped brewing. It had a solid white light and will not reset to factory settings, will not descale, will not brew. The user manual is totally useless. I called the help line, and the rep sent me a link to where he could walk me through several resets as he watched via my phone camera. Then he said that since the machine wasn't responding to any commands, it would have to be replaced with a REFURBISHED machine 😒. Something is technically wrong with these machines, and the quality is very low, as evidenced by the large volume of negative reviews. I am incredibly disappointed in Nespresso as a whole. I am hoping that the kinks have been worked out in the refurbished machines and that they work longer than a few months.

@Nespresso I received my new machine. I tried to make a coffee, and all of it leaked out the bottom of the machine making a mess 😒. I called customer service and the machine will now be replaced with a new one. I hope the new one actually works without any problems.
I was so excited to buy a Nespresso machine and I am so disappointed with it. No. 1. It is hard to buy coffee disc's in Toronto, Canada, unless u go to a far and few between Nespresso shop. 2. The coffee discs are wayyy more expensive due to this, so I have resorted to saving a couple of the aluminum discs and I put my own coffee in them. 3. The coffee always tastes odd; I think it is from the foaming process. If u put milk in the coffee, it doesnt matter when, the milk tastes curddled or bad. Even if I cool down the coffee. 4. I've had issues from day 1 with it working properly; often have to do a factory reset, or unplug the whole machine. The latest thing is, it's not making a full cup of coffee, and it's watery; I've only had this stupid thing for 7 months! One of the worst purchases I've ever purchased

These machines need to be made more user friendly. There's no good reason it can't tell you specifically the problem it's having. And descale and cleaning like a secret ritual code. I hate its lack of simplicity and technology.

Unfortunately, this product is very poor quality. I ran into an issue where water was leaking everywhere. Nespresso replaced the machine. Now, the new machine is leaking everywhere again, and worse off the button does nothing when pressed.
Frustrating trash! My new Vertuo Next Premium blinks orange. No treats, resets etc. worked to get it started... and the manual is dirt cheap. The Vertuo goes to the trash bin and ai will never get come to Nespresso!
So sick of this machine. I have done all the cleaning and descaling and it will work for a day then stop working again. Spent an hour on the phone and it worked for a day. I am going to do the reset to factory setting again. Just descaled it , will see how many cups it makes before it stops working again. So annoyed that I have received the Christmas coffee package and it stops working.

Absolute garbage machine. I have had this for 1 month and I'm sending this back. Do yourself a favor and just buy a decent machine that grinds beans like a Breville barista express. Do the math on the 2 dollar pods and in one year it will have paid for itself considering the ridiculous price for pods and the fact it makes terrible coffee anyways. Worst machine I have ever used. Nespresso should be ashamed of themselves for putting this on the market.

When brewing an Iced Coffee capsule is there a "cold" setting for this, or are we brewing boiling hot coffee and putting it over ice?

I put in a cup that’s supposed to give me 7.7 oz and 1.35 oz came out. The machine is brand new and I haven’t used more than 15-20 pods :(

My Vertuo its probably broken one. Its not possible to do factory reset or anything else. Not even to make coffe. When I pushing the button, notthing happend. Shame

Can you adjust all capsules cup size? I tried reset cup size for all 5 size capsules, only one can adjust. the rest 4 types when I keep holding cup button, it turned off.

Mine now flashes orange , can't reset it. Live in England. Don't have time to ring your number. The machine is completely useless.
This method didn’t work, the machine just made the coffee and stopped, and I had pushed the button the whole time to set the capsule setting.

Got mine for fathers day last year. After a few months same problem as everyone else. Customer service really couldnt fix it, so they sent me another one. After a few weeks, same thing, but I would get lucky, after trying a thousand times to get it going again. On and off after numerous cleanings and descalings in a 6 month period, and all the time spent trying to get it pour a cup of coffee. After a few hours today I give up. There is a reason you dont see too many nespresso capsules in the stores. Pure garbage.

I had this machine (Breville Vertuo Next Deluxe) for 4 months and this morning it stopped brewing. It had a solid white light and will not reset to factory settings, will not descale, will not brew. The user manual is totally useless. I called the help line, and the rep sent me a link to where he could walk me through several resets as he watched via my phone camera. Then he said that since the machine wasn't responding to any commands, it would have to be replaced with a REFURBISHED machine 😒. Something is technically wrong with these machines, and the quality is very low, as evidenced by the large volume of negative reviews. I am incredibly disappointed in Nespresso as a whole. I am hoping that the kinks have been worked out in the refurbished machines and that they work longer than a few months.

@Nespresso I received my new machine. I tried to make a coffee, and all of it leaked out the bottom of the machine making a mess 😒. I called customer service and the machine will now be replaced with a new one. I hope the new one actually works without any problems.

I was so excited to buy a Nespresso machine and I am so disappointed with it. No. 1. It is hard to buy coffee disc's in Toronto, Canada, unless u go to a far and few between Nespresso shop. 2. The coffee discs are wayyy more expensive due to this, so I have resorted to saving a couple of the aluminum discs and I put my own coffee in them. 3. The coffee always tastes odd; I think it is from the foaming process. If u put milk in the coffee, it doesnt matter when, the milk tastes curddled or bad. Even if I cool down the coffee. 4. I've had issues from day 1 with it working properly; often have to do a factory reset, or unplug the whole machine. The latest thing is, it's not making a full cup of coffee, and it's watery; I've only had this stupid thing for 7 months! One of the worst purchases I've ever purchased

These machines need to be made more user friendly. There's no good reason it can't tell you specifically the problem it's having. And descale and cleaning like a secret ritual code. I hate its lack of simplicity and technology.
Your machines mess up my mornings more often now. That’s it, I will NEVER use your products again. It’s not worth he anger and running late 3-4 times a week
Unfortunately, this product is very poor quality. I ran into an issue where water was leaking everywhere. Nespresso replaced the machine. Now, the new machine is leaking everywhere again, and worse off the button does nothing when pressed.

Frustrating trash! My new Vertuo Next Premium blinks orange. No treats, resets etc. worked to get it started... and the manual is dirt cheap. The Vertuo goes to the trash bin and ai will never get come to Nespresso!

So sick of this machine. I have done all the cleaning and descaling and it will work for a day then stop working again. Spent an hour on the phone and it worked for a day. I am going to do the reset to factory setting again. Just descaled it , will see how many cups it makes before it stops working again. So annoyed that I have received the Christmas coffee package and it stops working.

Absolute garbage machine. I have had this for 1 month and I'm sending this back. Do yourself a favor and just buy a decent machine that grinds beans like a Breville barista express. Do the math on the 2 dollar pods and in one year it will have paid for itself considering the ridiculous price for pods and the fact it makes terrible coffee anyways. Worst machine I have ever used. Nespresso should be ashamed of themselves for putting this on the market.

This procedure doesn't do anything. I can press it 20x in three seconds and it refuses to reset itself.
