It would make your games a bit more watchable, if you were to cut out all the wait time of your end of turns where you wait for other players. This is something single player civ youtubers have an advantage as, but your multiplayer games are inherently more interesting to watch. You may be able to make the editing easier if you mark when you want to begin and end the cut as you record with some hot key. something like having a high audio spike on a special track that you dont hear, which you add by playing a sound via a hotkey. then it would be a breeze to cut out the wait time in post.
@@isaakring2573and the amount of effort and time that would take, I bet its still time consuming with full games but removing like 60 seconds every couple of minutes would just get tedious, if someone doesn't like the whole "waiting for end turns" just simply watch single player as that's 50% of a multiplayer game
@@Killthefish Yep. The guy can just skip the dead parts entirely. Just a few clicks on the arrow button lol. Its a pretty solvable issue ngl unless you don't like exerting even that little effort on forwarding the video a few seconds.
Players in CPL play by just hosting lobbies through steam. Firaxis's best-in-the-industry netcode usually works, so long as you follow these rules: 1. Nobody is subscribed to any mods that the host doesn't have. Disabling them in the menu isn't enough - you have to uninstall them completely. 2. Players can check in the pre-game lobby to see if they have a ping of "0 ms" to anyone else. If they do, that means that there's an error in the peer-to-peer connection between those players, and desyncs are likely. This can be avoided by simply rejoining the lobby until none of the ping values show 0 ms. 3. On relobbies, the host needs to be the one with the fastest load-in time in order to avoid a "double load" bug which causes crashing. If other players have faster PCs than the host, they have to slow down their PCs by opening other resource-intensive programs during the load-in so that the host can finish loading in before them. 4. Do not play on Tuesdays in games that'll persist through 6 PM EST, as Steam performs weekly maintenance on their servers during that time. And voila! By following all of these instructions, it's possible to get lucky and finish a 10-player game with no technical issues sometimes
is there a limit of how much adjecency you want to have from commercial hubs before you consider free inquiry? last game i picked free inquiry without thinking and it didnt feel as impactful as 2nd pen brush would have
I generally want around ~20 commercial hub adjacency, and I want to have completed or be about to complete the guilds civic so that I have access to the policy card to double that adjacency (since that card also doubles the science from Free Inq). In this game my pace was particularly poor, so I was still several turns away from unlocking Guilds when the time to choose my second golden age dedication rolled around. I wouldn't have gotten much value from Free Inquiry w/o the policy card, especially as my total commercial hub adjacency at the time was only like 15. Hence, I chose PBV a second time.
When you’re clearly not going to win the game but have a chance of 2nd/3rd place, would you always recommend to conquer weaker civs in order to secure a higher placement?
36:04 What really happened here? How did you "farm a resource" and complete Irrigation by settling a city? You got a science boost by settling that city? Why? At 36:05 you just double-click the Settler and boom, irrigation done. I am so confused... LOL it is another turn (31) after the "double-click", but still, without the boost you would need another turn, and I can't see any farms around.
Two months late, but whatever. It looks like one of his cities grew between turns and the extra .5 science from pop was enough to finish the tech instead of requiring another turn. He did not get the boost, the game just does not properly take into account adjusting yields on turn rollover when estimating turns to completion.
I always get irrel warred when I go England, having to go harbours first rly slows down my way to classical units. How do i prep a defense and not be full irrel seems impossible😊
I enjoy conquering players of all skill levels in Civ, it just so happens that there are far more players who are worse than me than ones who are better than me :)
Persia's actually pretty good in BBG, both Cyrus & Nader-Shah. They can work decently in free-for-all games due to their internal trade route bonuses and bonuses towards war that scale well into the late-game, and in teamers, they wreak havoc with Immortals (which are one of the strongest unique units in the game). However, the format where Persia shines most of all is 1v1 duels, where both leaders are considered some of the very best picks. Duels aren't a format I cover much on this channel, especially as they're not as popular as free-for-all or teamers (4v4/5v5) games, but given how dominant Persia is in that format, I figured it was worth mentioning.
so great to be in herson video.. .right?!

Imagine editing out deadtime on 150-250 turns xd the entire point on full games is to have it unedited

Bro im missing the short musical compilation of this game! I love those! Great content btw!
Nice to see an example of early game war slowing momentum
I mean if you pick this civ, you cannot just chill. It would be a complete waste of a civ pick.
like the vids, would love to hear some more commentary tho on what you´re doing

Few things are more satisfying than watching a skilled player commit slaughter in a strategy game
I want to see Herson vs Trynda
a classic case of "always bring 2 more units than you think you'd need" :P
I need to see some Creeeeeeeee! Enjoyed watching Scythia.
Would love to see some England!
The ironclad was formes from the retiring of the great Admiral!😅
I know that he's often banned, but I would really love to see some Basil
I wanna know what the cree did here
Hey Herson I have a question:
Which way to play Civ6 mutli is more stable from your experience and what do CPL loobies use?

Do people actually finish 4+ hours long uncut vod? I always find myself falling asleep to herson’s voice 😂
Would love to see some of the other players gang up on Herson while he is bizzy in another war... *hint hint*

Yes, conquering weaker civs is the ideal way to inflate your score for a higher position
