The synergy with your city states and luxes is unreal. Not only do the 3 amenity city states let you settle a ton of cities while keeping happiness break points but valleta lets you use faith from religious idols to instantly bring cities online by buying granaries and water mills. No wonder you went so heavily into faith with a civ that otherwise has little use for religious play in a lobby with 2 religious civs.

All I can do is stare at how many/how large the civs are at like turn 60 I’m struggling to get a 3rd city down by then wtf

I think that it's potentially true that people who play multiplayer might not be as good in a singleplayer game than people who play a lot of singleplayer, simply because a lot of singleplayer stratagies includes exploiting the AI in weird ways, which multiplayer players may not know. However, in a multiplayer setting this is useless, and its not like multiplayer stratagies are worthless in singleplayer games, but you do cap your potential for completely insane games. I'm not sure if this makes sense, but to summarise, people who play alot of singleplayer and not multiplayer may do better in singleplayer, however, this relies on the AI being weird, whereas multiplayer stratagies will work in all envronments.

After playing this game for umpteen years I just learned yesterday city states spawn as settlers and you can capture the settler and have 2 cities on turn 7.

Wow. The info about production overflow is going to really change my gameplay pattern. I'm a big Alpha Centauri fan, so I got used to multiple techs and units/buildings per turn if you had enough overflow. I got used to Civ 6's many "one per turn" limits, but I had no idea that production overflow didn't carry over. Which means the simplest way to make maximum use of production is to only ever build stuff that takes at least 2 turns and buy the stuff that takes 1 turn with other resources.

Simply doesn't work on console. PS5 Civ 6 multiplayer simply does not work. Like over a decade after release, multiple DLC's and you cannot connect to any multiplayer games. Despite the fact that the multiplayer tab exists and you can see other players lobbies.
