I want to see a 2 food 1 production settle since in this case you had a very good spice tile.(not for evidence but rather as reference for my own games). Oh while we're at it, I also often prefer archipelagoish maps personally and I think it'd be interesting seieng you stsrt relatively poor in an archipelago map.

New Civ 6 player here; Provision from Magnus does not have +2 Production for me, rather it has +20% Production towards Industrial Zone buildings in the City. In the BBG pack Magnus Provisions does not match as well and now I am confused :D

I think I have a fundamental disagreement with your idea of what is "efficient". While this strat might win faster against Deity AI, a slower strategy may result in more wins overall. Is the goal to win as efficiently or win as many games as possible? After all, a win is a win regardless of how slow it is, and it seems better in singleplayer to win slower but more consistently if your goal is to win every single game. You are going to eclipse the AI anyways, and surviving the early game is worth slowing down your progress to increase the odds of you surviving.

Funny thing is if your slot order was higher and won you would see that Rage was one off of CV meaning that you would Win even though the game showed him winning CV.

i really like your guides! Even better than potatoemcwhiskeys (no front :D), as i only play in MP. Do you guys always play without the Barbs? I think its much more difficult to get to an golden age without them.

Probably just buff Gaul then? Gaul has good culture from Mines, but they also cannot have districts next to a city center, so they don't get Harbor or the +1 Commercial Hub adjacency, which really hurts them.

The first two parts were really interesting, but this late-game solution fucking sucks. I don't see the reason for off site points to reward me wasting another 30-60 minutes in a lost game.

I had THE perfect Deity game as Gaul a few days back. Had my fourth city down, everything lined up, timing perfect, scouts finding all of the right things, perfect city placements, etc. I finally destroy and invading barb camp, to find TWO MORE CAMPS sending horseman at me. Rip.

So bbg removed 80% of gaul bonuses and its still a viable civ?)

No pro honestly learning civ 6, so my question here after watching the video couldn’t you just use religion to win right from under someone’s nose? Since everyone is min/max and doing the actions mention in your video what’s stopping someone from just transitioning to a religious victory and instead of war they just send the same number of troops to every capital and mass spreading religion in one turn?
