hi inherited my late fathers bose wavesystem I think about 2009 it has the DAB module have ni manuals at all and no antenna cable for main unit or teh DAB unit , is there a special cable for the antenna or can you advise of possible options tks. The bose does see a bose link but obviously no signal any help much appreciated
Thats good news, you need a FM loop attenna or may be one of these. Please scan for new DAB channels by holding down the mute button for few seconds and then press 2 on the remote when the display reads press 2 to scan.
@@thespecialist786 tks for the message will see about getting the antenna ref the scan not sure here I assume once i have the antenna in situ also press mute ( keep in held down for some time\/ and at same time press 2 or rlease mute then press 2 briefly Nothing seemed to work withut the antenna so assume its once antenna in place #
@@philipjohn3770 u can do it now, no need for a external attenna. You may be better off calling Bose direct and asking them to send you the FM DAB attenna which is geniune and cheaper in price as well. First you hold down mute and wait until the display reads Press 2 to Scan the. Let go of mute and press 2 and let go.
@Gaz Mack - Thank you for watching my channel and for your comments, the fix I suggested is easy as you don’t have to open any thing alternatively you can change the cable from in side the module but for that you will need a replacment cable with the same fittings. You will have to open the Dab Module remove all the circuit boards to get access to the back and disconnect the clip and pull out cable. There is some effort needed but can be done.
i have another problem with the Dab module ... the Wave show me all ok and the signal is excellent ... but all is silent - no noise no music nothing AM and FM work fine ... CD too
Thank you for watching my channel, I would advise to check all the pins on the DAB module. Reset and scan all the DAB channels by holding the Mute Button on the remote. If all are okay then it may seem your DAB module has gone.

I have bought a dab unit and it all looks good no cable or pin damage. Connected the link connection to my wave 2. Held down mute as you describe..... Still nothing. Any advice?
@@charleswallace1042 Thank you for watching my Channel, It seems your system needs a Wave II Dab Firmware update disk. You can get that from bose direct or search online. Once the uodate is complete you DAB module will scan for channels. Please subscribe:-)

Hi - I have this exact problem. Other than using your fix, is it possible to replace the cable from the module ?
