Ive loved this car since highschool (evo ix)... got my first evo 2 years ago. 2015 Evo X gsr. Cannot be more in love. You MUST experience the car you've been wanting forever because it will NOT disappoint when it's in your driveway. I still do double takes at my car when I'm walking away from it...sexy af. Keep at it man, pandemic hit hard, market will crash again, then buy up all those discount stocks and continue the path to be a proud evo owner! They ain't making anymore, the legacy will die with us!
Just bought my EVO X about 2 weeks ago, before that I’d be playing this video for months. Thank you for motivating me to work hard man, being able to actually drive it feels like heaven!
I dont mean to be so off topic but does any of you know of a way to log back into an Instagram account? I was stupid lost my account password. I would appreciate any tricks you can offer me.
I’ve owned an Evo 8 and now an Evo X GSR. I am really loving the X and it’s more modern features. Too bad so many 4G63 Evo die hards never got it. Thanks for the review, just fantastic!
I am in my 50s. I am a collector of Hondas. Eg6, ek9, dc5r...and one day...I purchased a 2008 lancer EX ( CVT) as a daily...and driving it was great...lt felt solid, stable and the thought occured to me that I should try the Evo X. As luck would have it, I snagged a Evo X Final Edition with a heavy discount from the dealer. And I started selling all my Hondas in my collection. Omg, the driving of an Evo X is indescribable. It goes where you point it to...Since JDM Masters revealed that the AWD system runs using Canbus, I am beginning to appreciate the Evo X's instantaneous response ...and understand now why the Evo X's exceptional handling is so underrated.
One of the things people also don't realize about the 4G63, is that it's an incredibly old engine Mitsubishi had been using for 26 years back in 2007. This is an engine they designed and built for Group 4 rally and then beefed up over the years. There's no doubt they decided they can make a better lighter engine for the Lancer Evolution X
They hated Automatic Evo while GTR R35 also have dual clutch but they didnt hate the GTR? hmmm...I dont care what the social says. We care what our hearts say. Underrated video, Underrated Car. Gotta agree for me evo x is my best option if im looking for a evo for jack of all trades
I truly believe the Evo X was made to be the most sophisticated and more of a daily driver than any Evo made. All Evos before it were really raw out of the box. The Evo X may have been different than all evos before it but it was literally the latest evolution of all evos before it
Great car. I've owned the Evolution, Evo II, Evo V, and Evo X. The X is by far the best feel, engine, handling, and aesthetics. I hear arguments from guys who have never owned an Evo or owned or driven only one model. Their argument is quite weak. I currently have Vs and Xs. I also have the X Final Concept if you're interested in doing a story on it. Surprisingly no one really knows about the Final Concept. Then again, it's a one-of-one.
As an EVO owner, you would agree that the EVO III, V, IX and X are the best evos from their generations? You are a really lucky man to be able to have such great machines, evos are my dream cars and I hope someday I will be able to have at least 1 evo in my garage. Big respect 👊
the evo 10 is by far the best evo mitsubishi ever produced. few people appreciate it, from the design, to the engine (stock form), chassis, all are greater than the previous evo.
LanEvo 6 is the best Evo I've ever seen. But the Evo 8 is the best Evo I've ever driven. Didn't have a chance to drive the LanEvo 9 and 10 yet but I'm sure they're powerful and handle well.
The ONLY time that I ever truly thought a horrible crash was imminent in my Evo X was in a winter monsoon in the North Carolina mountains.....pouring rain, near freezing temperatures, cold asphalt, steep incline with very short apex dropping into a severe right hand curve.....at over 100 mph. Evo's S.A.W.D. definitely saved the day! Had I been in the 09 M3, I probably wouldn't be telling this story. Great video!

The Evo X is a great looking car in its own right. It’s design was amazing for 2007. And even if it doesn’t have the 4g63 the 4b11 is still a great engine and it’s cool that Mitsubishi was trying something new.
This is the best video of an enthusiast car I’ve seen on the internet. Everything was covered from head to toe. This video got me hyped up to buy an Evo again. God I really miss my Evo X, regret selling it.
Been looking forward to your review on the Evo X. As always you never disappoint! Such an amazing car and review :) super underated channel. This video only makes me more excited to buy my Evo X this next year :)
Buying an Evo was always a goal of mine and when it came time to buy one, I ended up getting an Evo X. I still do love the way the 8 & 9 look over the X by a bit but the more up to date interior and technology is something that persuaded me for long term.
I have a 2012 GT, and yes, built like a tank. The trunk area behind the back sets is really the look of sturdy. About three years ago, I hit a curb that jutted out in the middle of the road for no good reason and my car hit it at approximately 45MPH, going airborne in the process. As far as we've been able to determine, all the damage I got was a slightly warped wheel. I'm still running everything stock, so I haven't replaced the shock absorbers, springs, etc. Frame is in tip-top condition.
I'm a paraplegic who's been on the hunt for a Track car I can be competitive with in Time Attack and Wheel to Wheel racing. But it is tough finding an Automatic or Semi-Auto vehicle that is realistically affordable. But these have really caught my eye. I have always been an EVO fan in general. That SST trans really perked my ears right up. It will take me a long time to save up, but this is my new realistic dream car. I hope there are some nice ones left by the time I can save up 25k.

someone posted a comment. it's called Hyper REV magazine or books. They sell it in Japanese print though but you can buy it for US dollars online. But sadly i dont think they have it in English for us. If you do know one in Enlish lmk 😭
Props to mitsubishi, for the design that is 10years into the future.. the lancer/Galant Fortis/proton inspira still look at home with the current car design after so many years
Really nice to see the untold features of the Evo X. I always knew it's really capable but never knew how it made all that happen. Excellent video! On the top of that, I would SO KUCH like to see a review of an SXE10 Altezza RS200 on JDM Masters. Really an underdog with the best version of the Toyota 3S engine ever.
Been looking into getting one I've been playing evo videos in the background while searching local listings and I had to stop what I was doing and pay attention to your video. Love the depth you go into I wish every car video was like this. Those magazines are awesome I'd love to find an equivalent in english.
Fun fact: In the Philippines 🇵🇭 they call the first models Lancers hot dog and the next models pizza pie as a reference to the shapes of the rear lights.
Thank you!Thank you to the owner too,for allowing his awesome car to be reviewed. This was all very well put together, and all the aspects of the vehicle explained clearly.I've watched other 'reviews'and they really didn't explain the different systems, and materials at all.
Nice video. I would not sell my 9 for a X unless I had kids AND had to haul them in the car. The side crash rating on the X is so much better. Otherwise, I have always preferred the earlier Evo's. They are just more raw and have this sense of craziness to them.
Hey bro love the channel! Any chance of finding some old EX Lancer turbos? Used to have a 1600 EX ages ago, not a GSR sadly but still was a cool car! All the best, thanks for the content!
Thank you for your kind comments. Yes the old Lancer EX turbos are very hard to find clean now in Japan. The 1.8 L or 2 L versions are both very rare. If we do find any, rest assured we will definitely review them
I've been lucky enough to see an immaculate EX turbo parked in a driveway near my house here in NZ quite often. They're definitely rare though, it's the only one I've seen in years outside of those used in rally. That said, I too would like to see one on the channel, even stuff like a Cordia turbo, Mirage cyborg or GTX and GTR familia etc etc - the kind of classics from the early JDM scene here.

Damn,i can smell the old book scent just by watching you flip that book
HyperRev
where the heck do i get one of those books you used in this video i hope theirs a English one?
someone posted a comment. it's called Hyper REV magazine or books. They sell it in Japanese print though but you can buy it for US dollars online.
But sadly i dont think they have it in English for us. If you do know one in Enlish lmk 😭
@@kimberlyespiritusanto309 I found Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 20th Anniversary Book on amazon and it's translated from JP to ENG
Im watching this right after the evo 1 review and it's just nice to see you not freezing to death on this one hahah love the channel
The lancer evo 10 is a masterpiece with timeless design a 💎 Gem 4B11T
While I do appreciate the technological advantages of the Evo X, but for me personally, I would go for an Evo IX
Doesn't anyone know what stereo that is I can't find it online to buy
Props to mitsubishi, for the design that is 10years into the future.. the lancer/Galant Fortis/proton inspira still look at home with the current car design after so many years
Really nice to see the untold features of the Evo X. I always knew it's really capable but never knew how it made all that happen. Excellent video! On the top of that, I would SO KUCH like to see a review of an SXE10 Altezza RS200 on JDM Masters. Really an underdog with the best version of the Toyota 3S engine ever.
I can't wait for my Evo X to come back from an engine rebuild/new rotating assembly- it's been off the road almost two years... I've missed her!
Your channel is a jewel! What am impressive depth of information! You are such a good presenter as well. Awesome, awesome! Thank you
This is one of the greats in my Pantheon of cars.
Been looking into getting one I've been playing evo videos in the background while searching local listings and I had to stop what I was doing and pay attention to your video. Love the depth you go into I wish every car video was like this. Those magazines are awesome I'd love to find an equivalent in english.
Id love it if you could give us a similar deep dive on the R35 GT-R like this, coz this was really informative and needed
Fun fact: In the Philippines 🇵🇭 they call the first models Lancers hot dog and the next models pizza pie as a reference to the shapes of the rear lights.
"itlog" not hotdog
thats all a lie
Paul M nope 🌭
@@paulm2318 yes its itlog "egg" not hotdog
Very professional with alot of informative content good work
This guy is literally a Master. Holy shit so underrated. Keep up the hard work please
Watching this video makes me want to drive mine. Thank you for the hard work on this review
How was this channel out for this long and i never even knew it feels like i struck it rich
I want this magazine! Where can i get one copy?
The SST is a beast once it's built.
Timeless design. Ever green.
Mitsubishi Lancer Evos are my dream cars ever since 2 fast 2 furious, hopefully one day I get one before I die
@@zeroyon4562 Yeah for sure!!!
