Previous X owner here. I regret selling it everyday. My favorite car I have ever owned. Mitsubishi made it heavier due to stricter safety regulations placed upon car manufacturers. Like you said, different chassis, more sound insulation, etc. I agree with you about the transmission. Driving on the highway sucked, cruising at 70-75 mph and rpm's buzzing around 3.5-4k was annoying. Other than that, I had zero complaints about the car. The engine is amazing and has come along way. I was making 540whp and 405 tq for 2 years before I sold it. Was a blast.
That Tomei exhaust fits like ass or needs to be adjusted. My ETS exhaust is tucked up nicely and my car is super low. Also the wheels are already 18" not sure what you mean by switching to 18" wheels
The evo x is a bit on the heavy side but that’s to be expected because it’s not the only one that gained weight. A lot of cars like the GTR, Corvette, Mustang, STI, the new Z, etc. all got heavier over the years. It’s really not as bad as it seems now with modern cars because they weigh just as much or more than the evo x lol For the interior rattling, no one buys an evo for the interior. I get it. It’s the top trim and costs the most, but it’s still a Mitsubishi. They put the money into the powertrain, AWD system, and suspension. I totally agree with the transmission. Shifter feels sloppy even with the upgraded bushings and short throw shifter on my 500whp evo x. I used to own a 370Z. The 370Z transmission was so much better lol even the 2014 mustang GT tranny is better. Gears are too short. I track mine and it’s a pain after 115mph on the straightaways. The AWD system really does help with cornering though.

Couldn’t agree with you more about the 5th gear. 1st-4th feels great until you drop it into 5th and then it falls flat on its face.

Thicker sidewall tyres will help with getting nicer fitment
This is Mohammad great video same here most like hate and love situation ❤
I have Evo X and M3 F80 and they both weigh similar. Funny thing is, Evo X feels lighter
sounds like u had enough. let me have the car free.99 thanks
知足吧。车帅就够了,又5速手动,在中国只有sst版本
I had one. Loved it but yeah. They're heavy.
It is heavy. The rear 4WD assembly is 70kg.
Sell it then, why make a video to talk down about it
@@death-_-reaperr8996 just saying facts. No need to cry about it.
@ i just left a comment, you made a whole video to cry about it😂😂
