After the third round during your relaxation guidance something within me released and tears started to stream down my face, I panicked and tightened up for a couple of breaths but following your voice was able to sink back into relaxation and calmly accept the release of feelings. I think there is a lot more in me to let go of, so I'll definitely be doing this every morning from now on. Thank you!

    Wow. Wow. Wow.
So, for context: I believe that the soul (muhūrtadevālaya) is made out of 4 jīvas (compound souls). (Note that I do know that jīva in a lot of dharmic faiths isn't defined as a compound soul.)
When I finished up the last round, I just felt my jīvas flying around in and even out of my body in a way that resembles how the butterfly effect is often show.

When doing the breathing do you breathe in and out through the nose?

    • @yogalap
      @yogalap  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dear Jessica,
It is a matter of preference, sometimes it is nice to breathe out through the mouth to 'let go a little bit more' , to release a bit more, some, like myself can prefer that sometimes over breathing out through the nose.

Dear Mad, it is OK to forget about that, just try to keep your awareness here and don't go off in thoughts or ideas. What you do with the physical body is secondary, what you do with the awareness is primary.

Hey teacher. Really appreciate all your content. Is it possible that these advanced pranayama and breath retention techniques might be unsettling for certain people? I feel like I've never felt before when I do pranayama and retention and the band does, but when I'm diligent about doing pranayama I end up having so much energy in my body I'm extremely uncomfortable like I'm too awake like I can't go to sleep like my body is energized past what I'm able to integrate. Any suggestions?

Thank you Michael for the great video but i just haven’t figured one thing out. When i exhale do i just use the elasticity of my muscles in my belly or do i use them to push the air out. If i need to use them, do i also need to tighten my diaphragm or only the muscles below. Because my diaphragm often feels very tense throughout the day. I always struggle getting it relaxed again on the end of the exhale and beginning of the inhale. Best regards

Hi Murphy...u might want to try do some " cat and cow" stretching...or spine extension stretching...on top of that add some spine twist before you do the breathing exercise. Hope it helps your problem. Cheers

      Dear Ben,
      Glad you enjoyed this session.
It is a matter of preference, sometimes it is nice to breathe out through the mouth to 'let go a little bit more', the release a bit more, some, like myself can prefer that sometimes over breathing out through the nose.
Wishing you many more beautiful sessions 🙏
      Peace and good energy!

This spinal breathing kundalini awakening practice is similar almost to Agnisara pranayama which we do with Vajrasana and use all 4 bandhas. during bahya. kumbhaka. which empowers more on kundalini activation and panic breathing.

@@AmandaK399 namaste Amanda, this spinal movement is a light exercise for the back and is relatively safe. Feel how it feels in your body, you can always choose to make the movement more subtle if something feels off - or even do the breathing without moving the spine. It would be a good idea to check in with a health professional or your doctor on what you can and can’t do with your conditions. However, such light exercise should usually put little to no strain on the body and be safe for most people. All the best with it! May the practices help your body to heal. Peace, love, and blessings.

I did it once with the teacher. I thought I had heat stroke. 5d neon lights, voice said: "Don't go, fight for yourself". 4 hours in the shower rubbing my hands on the tile, then my chest widened with purple light, and pearl white light out of my head. Also the voice said: "Universe opened up to you. Now you have a blank path Infront of you". Did anyone else experience that?

Thanks for the guide! After of couple weeks of trying this out 3 days a week, I had one session where I had mild DMT trip-like visuals. Nothing major, just saw frog and leopard patterns warping and breathing. I also felt like i got transported to another dimension and had a mild panic attack because I did not expect it at all.
How do I process that experience in a healthy way?? Since then , have been able to reach similar states with only 5 breaths but because of that first experience, I am a little hesitant to go further into that realm.

@michael, thank you for being light to the world.
I've been trying different breathing techniques for about a year now and this method has helped me reach a deeper level of focus and energy. I read "Becoming Supernatural" by Dr. Joe Dispenza and his technique is similar. The term Kundalini was new to me and as I did my research, I found this Gem of a video. Gracias Amigo!
Question: I've been breathing in through my nose and out through my mouth, is this correct?
