    Made this twice now, I'm hooked, amazing delicious lasted a week in the fridge. Used pecans instead of pumpkin seeds, on a lectin free diet. So good.

    Tried it and it came out really tasty . Thank you so much . I had to increase the temp and bake it for more time , may because of my oven .
    Is it ok to keep it outside in room temp for a couple of days or does it refrigerate well . Thank you

    Hi thanks for the healthy recipe, i tried making the bread but mine was chewy, is it supposed to be chewy. Other than baking it for a longer period of time say more than an hour, the bread was awesome. Perfect texture and taste.
    I soaked the foxtail millet overnight on the kitchen counter. In the morning it had a few bubbles in the centre, is that ok. Where did i go wrong ?

    Also do you believe the oil is a necessary component?

    Flaxseed contains phytoestrogens, which are plant chemicals called lignans. Because lignans may act like estrogen in the body, they can cause harm to a male's body. There has to be some sort of non-estrogenic alternative to flaxseed that isn't corn or wheat based

    Just made this ...it is yummmmm!!! It hasn't cooled down ..and I have already finished a quarter of the bread!!! Wish I could post a pic! Looks beautiful! However...found it a bit oily ...can I reduce or do away with the oil ?? Thankssss

    hello! I am soaking my millet for tomorrow baking. QUESTION: you say that your pan is 8x4 BUT it looks like a regular loaf pan 9x5 (I am comparing your hands to the size pan). I do not have an 8x4 pan. ALSO, could hemp hearts and other seeds be used?

      You can't replace psyllium husk. You will need it for the binding effect it has on all the other ingredients.

      Oils are not bad actually, if you use pure cold pressed one. And say no to refined

      @@sankethgowda5522 A quarter cup of oil (4 Tbsp) is around 480 kcal apart of Vitamin E and some low amount of Vitamin K there is nothing else inside apart from FATs. If you are normal or underweight and have no heart condition then yes there is not much harm in eating it. Btw. it takes a 75kg person to walk brisk about one hour to burn around 480kcal.

      It's easily available in all the pharmacies in India.. it's also called isabgol

      @@debbietixeira2357 Hi Debbie, I didn't try to bake bread but made cookies my way no oil, no sugar .. something I eat to feel full ..yes it worked ..I used Chia seeds & grinded them after little roast ..to make bread try chia seeds flour & Gaur gum/ xantham gum

    Well I made it. So much for being a fail proof bread. The crust on mine was like little pebbles it looked way too dry when I put it in the pan maybe I overcooked the millet or didn’t put in enough oil. Does anyone have any suggestions for me? Oh and I didn’t use a potato I don’t eat white potatoes I used a very sweet delicious cooked spaghetti squash instead.

      Depending on the millets used (because some run drier than others) Increase the water by 1/2 cup and don't skimp on the oil.

      Expat I added baking soda to it and baking powder as well. However it rose and as soon as I checked whether it is done with a knife it all went down like a balloon being blown out. :(

      @@TheYumYumYogi I used 350F for 40 min & found the dough to be gooey/soggy/gummy :(. I poked it using a fork and then put it in the oven again. Nothing worked, then I use low-broil and try to cook from up, still, nothing worked, so I bring out to cool it instead of burning it. Do you what went wrong?

      @@TheYumYumYogi No!, I used Amaranth. I try next time with millets. Also, after cooling it down, it's not close to bread but not soggy anymore. It tastes good :).

    Too much oil which floated around, bread didn't solidify and remained loose. What could have gone wrong?

      try again, mine came out dry and perfect- was your oven hot enough? did you measure the ingredients and use the psyillium ?

      No, you don't need yeast for this. You can increase the amount of water by 1/4 to 1/5 cup if you want it a little softer.
