Yes you and diesel creek would be awesome! Bobcat 543 has been getting me down. One wing and left 75% on zenith 601xlb aircraft. Collaboration on lsa would be really fun.
I turned the key to the left and held it for about 30 seconds and the machine fired right up thank you for your help! The machine has a hydraulic oil filter made by Melroe in it, does that mean it’s been in there since the mid 90’s or sometime around then? No date written on it.
Great videos. I also have an old 743 that I have been restoring. Do you have a video of the lower tilt bushing removal and installation yet? I am at the same point with mine, I need to replace the bushing, pin and the weld on bushings you did in this video. I am not sure how best to do it. Thanks.
Thanks! That’s awesome, so yea I have another video on my channel if you scroll back a bit about restoring and painting this 743, I changed the lower bucket pins, but it’s not really a how to, they were a pain to do because they kept spinning on me, and hard to get lined up to drive the bolt in, but maybe you’ll learn something from that video just watching me change them
Keep the tank always full. Its walls are unpainted steel and empty tank has moist in the air that will condensate on walls and rust that untreated metal. Then you start getting rust in filters and fuel lines.
Great video I have a similar 743 but it has been whining when operating the boom or tilting the bucket I thought I fixed it when I added more hydraulic fluid but this morning it did the same thing I thought it was from the cold has this ever happened to you?
Into The Dirtshop I’ll see what happens because when I look on videos of other peoples bobcats I can hear almost the same sound and also one last question do you run your machine at full throttle because I heard people say that I should run it at half throttle and when I do run it on full it sounds way to loud?
Nice job, I also have a 743 that the tilt cylinder leaks down but the part numbers have pipe wrench marks through them, can you read yours, look to be the same cylinder.
I did my tilt cylinder rebuild a month ago. The instructions mention 3 different types of tilt cylinders on the 743, check there to find which one you have before ordering the correct seal kit, or you might order the wrong one. I got the correct one, on my second try!
I have a 1984 bobcat 743. Gotta love old technology.
I used to run a bobcat love watching you work
Guess you couldn't hear me screaming at you about the throttle.... At least, you will never be accused of being a fabricator.
Yes, do a collaboration with Diesel Creek. Love both channels.
Thanks man! I’m gonna hit him up and see what we can fix up!
Great 743 videos!
Thanks!

Yea that maschine needs more love
It ain’t bad, but it’s getting there
Where is the drain for the hydraulic reservoir I have diesel in mine and I can’t find this thing
Mine is behind the seat
What size wrench did you use?
For what part haha
How do you heat up the glow plugs on this machine is it the large button above the key on the left-hand side?
I don’t have a button I just the key to the left
@@IntoTheDirtshop do you leave the key on the on position for a minute or so then crank it over?
@@1984yota1 no you turn it to the left and hold it for glow plugs on mine
Thanks, I’ll give that a try today.

I have a 732 the hoses from the hydrostatic pump to the drive motors where missing I was wondering if you could show how they connect

I believe it has plastic tanks
@@IntoTheDirtshop well then no problem. My excavator has steel tank and i keep it full these days.
@@tujuprojects nice!
I have the same 743 just wish I could get mine to not creep when I start it or when it's running
Mine does the same thing man
I did a couple of vids on my channel of my 743, adjusting the creep out. Might be helpful. 👍
@@StevesBeyondRepair thanks I’ll have to check those out!
You might also check Fetzer Fixes, he fixed creep on a 743, years ago...

Thanks! No I’ve never had a whining sound, that sounds like your hydraulic pump may be going out

@@zlatanzifovskijr4576 at least for my purposes I have always run it full throttle
How do you remove the radiator on a 743B bobcat?
To be honest I’ve never done that before, but it’s right above the engine and doesn’t seem too difficult to work on

Right on
Thanks for watching!
Water in diesel destroys the dieselpump......
