Great video! Another tip for releasing the tension of the tracks without some sort of lifting device is to use a larger pipe and place it in between the two sprocket teeth, then you slowly drive the machine and the pipe will wedge up into the tracks and remove the tension.
Looks like a good idea to put some small bolts in the bolt holes to keep the gunk out. A few wraps of duct tape should work to keep the drain and fill plugs clean too.
I have a t300 at the bobcat dealership I work. That has been sitting next to my tool box for 7 to 8 month cause we can get a brake section or a reman motor for it
I need to see drive motor service/replacement on a 2002 A300. Thanks for all the other tips though, servicing my own lift cylinders, recalibrating the actuator. And, can I get a remote control for my 2002 A300 to start and run the lift from outside, don't care for it to move but with a log splitter it'd be nice.
my friend i love your videos. thanks for the content. i have a tough question to ask especially since you're working for bobcat. i am considering purchasing a CTL for farm usage. since i know very little about these machines i am truly stuck on brands and models. i know you are very proficient and knowledgeable about CTLS is there a specific brand or model you could recommend for me or for me to stay away from. it's a lot of money to make a mistake with. i would wonder what make or model you would purchase for yourself new if you were buying one. thanks in advance for your suggestions if you could provide any.
Great video I just started looking at your channel!!! I've a question do you have any video working on the wiring I've been having problems with the back up beeper we replaced it work for couple times and it quits working any advice thanks
7 months ago you disassembled a Bobcat T190 motor. You were going to take it for cleaning then do an assembly video. Cannot find any assembly video...did you do one?
Hey i have a t86 and it has 700hrs on it. The sprockets are wearing very fast! Is it common practice to rotate the sprockets? Example... putting left side sprocket on right side and vise versa. I am starting to feel the sprockets turning in the tracks when traveling.
I've got a 864g bobcat. One drive motor quit pushing you can go back and forth with the lever and it'll start moving then it'll quit. Is that a final drive replacement or what
Hello, love your work maybe you might have knowledge on a kubota mini excavator X040-4 with 1802 hrs. She fires up runs for 30-60 seconds then dies out. On the computer in the 2 fault codes pop up 064 Engine and 076 DPF is clogged. Got the DPF baked in the mean time replaced primarily and sec fuel filters cracked the lines she’s getting fuse. Got the DPF back connected all the thermo sensors. Still same issue. Hooked up a diesel scanner found multiple fuel pressure sensors “high” and rail pressure issues, crankcase sensors issue. I’ve spoke to 3 different techs with Kubota one is say bec of DPF issues the kubota pcm/ecm shuts down after 4 attempts for safety reasons. Other tech told me “no” the bio diesel might have crystallized and I need a new common fuel rail with the sensors and new lines. Can you please help me I’m stuck.
i was told by bobcat that the T76 tracks are around 7000$ and the tracks are unique meaning a t650 t750 etc tracks will not fit the t76. is that true and whats the cheapest price you can get good tracks for the T76 for? thank you
Bobcat should tell you the spec/standard for the oil they are using. It is generally illegal for a company to force you to use their products or risk voiding a warranty. Unless they are providing it for free, or have obtained a waiver from the FTC which would require them to prove to the FTC that their product would not work correctly without their parts/oils. This is per the 1975 Magnuson Moss Warranty Act, and requiring someone to use only Bobcats oil would most likely be a violation of the "Tie-In Sales" provisions in that act. Bobcat may have requested a waiver, but if so that should be spelled out somewhere in your warranty documentation. Bobcat would also have the burden of proof that the oil you used was the cause of any failures per the act before they could void your warranty. Also per the act if the company is found to have voided your warranty without due cause they can also be forced to pay your legal fees. If you believe a company gives you the run around on warranty or tries to void warranty without proof or factual basis it is best to report it to the FTC at ReportFraud.ftc.gov
Once again an excellent video! Great reminder on the cost of a new motor vs a little oil and time to change it. Thank you!

Enjoy your videos! Keep up the good work….Thanks!
Great video really enjoyable to watch here in Australia
Thanks mate👍👍
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks so much for sharing... Working on a hill today my T650 one of the sprocket cracked in two pieces... Fixing it Monday!!
I use an engine hoist to lift the track to pull the sprockets. Thank you for your videos.
Great stuff you makes life easier
Thank you for that! I have a T630 at 2000 hours and am about to service everything!

Thanks for Sharing ! Very much needed info !! I'll be working on a 943 tomorrow . Drive Chain or Drive Motor ?
Thanks!
Thank you so much

It crazy right now, oil is the next biggest problem I see in the near future, we are having a hard time getting oil right now.
Great video, own case's, 1845c, and cx36b mini.
Super helpful tips!
Glad you think so!

awesome videos. keep them coming. i wish you were in Ms. you would have a new best friend. i love my bobcats. 🤜🤛
Thanks 👍
Thanks for your content. Is there an easier way to drain and fill the Main drive oil other than taking the sprocket off of my 2016 T870?

I don't have any specific videos working on harnesses, I do have some tips and tricks I need to make a video sometime.

Awesome details 👌
Thank you
Will this work on a T190? I just bought one and want to service it.
That grease is oddly satisfying to watch...

So on those holes you had to tap, why didn't Bobcat just install a short 1/2" bolt to keep crap out of those holes?
Are wheeled or tracked bobcats less maintenance ? @HowIDidit
Do you remember the bolts torque?
How much oil I need for the gear motor on a 2015 T550
quick question. any particular kind of grease to use in the track tensioner?
Great question, any grease can be used in tensioner, nothing specific needed.
Plugs and bolts, thought on never sees?
Where are you located
Utah
We’ll done. I am assuming you replaced the sprocket due to wear?
That's correct, the tracks still have plenty of life but the sprockets are worn out

How do I tighten my chains on the 205 Bobcat Drive chains?
Replace the chains is really the only option. A half link could be installed but I would replace the chains as there is no adjustment.

I have a few ideas but to much to type, you can schedule an appointment if you would like at www.4tetradgroup.com
Hi i am jj the t 550 drive motor oil change the same way
Did I miss something? Why did the sprocket need to be changed?
Why do you have to take the gear off to service it thanks never changed mine with 1500 hr thanks for the lesson
Depends on the drive motor but many of them can only be service by removing the sprocket due to plug placement.
@@tetradgroup thank you very much 1983 first year I had 843 three t 300 now getting ready to quit wish you were around 40 years ago thanks

Please email me at 4tetradgroup@gmail.com and I will send you some info.
Get ahold of track hutt out of Georgia
Put duck seal on those plugs you’ll thank me next time you wanna get into those plugs
I really need help on a 2 speed 750 hand and foot control

I would never recommend using a driver and a tap. Use a drill with a torque setting. If you snap a tap off you’ll be pissed
Lol, I was waiting for that comment!
