Also, Smart people don't try to find faults in others they try to improve themselves by removing their own faults and mistakes. Thanks.

Being smart/intelligent= more sadness, the less you know, the happier you are. Knowing a lot may be seen as a cool and best thing in life but no, no it's not. Happiness is something that gives your life better sense, as same as learning new things. So you can be smart but not as smart as you can.

I also feel, just in my humble opinion, that very smart people are often loners themselves and are very comfortable with that and being of that. Van Gogh, Einstein, Abraham Lincoln (who even though had a great sense of humor was a self-proclaimed homebody) were all loners. Perhaps its that we can keep our own selves busy for long periods of time , or we just feel comfortable being with ourselves ...something like that I think and I don't mean to be arrogant it was just easier to type this in the first person. Thanks for understanding. Love your videos! PS I am just curious if anyone agrees or ever noticed this about being smart and also a loner?

I wish resources like You Tube and Brainy Dose were around 40 years ago to teach me the right things to do. I always had the right answers in school and got the best grades, so I thought I was smart. But I had ZERO emotional intelligence, or maturity, or common sense. I made EVERY SINGLE ONE of these mistakes, and sometimes still do a couple. I didn't learn until I was 44 that I had Asbergers, which shed new light on my problems. I just wish your info, presented in such easy-to-grasp, digestible language, had been available to me. My whole life has been a mess, a failure, and I regret practically every single decision I've ever made. I've learned from them, but I'm too old to take advantage of the hard-earned lessons.

Yo Jeffry. Honestly, I had to check your avatar to be absolutely certain that I hadn't written your comment myself. I got diagnosed with an autism spectrum condition when I was 46. So... High Five.
I don't have the answers you seek im sorry because I have wasted my life too. Academically smart, able to pass exams, popular with everybody other than those I am sexually attracted to. Normally have either short lived girlfriends or no girlfriend.
I don't mean I kill them. I mean, they get fed up of me.
Don't laugh, actually, no, do laugh if you like but I am seriously considering buying a guitar or bass (never played).
There must be something I can excel at, other than doing exams.
I just have this unfulfilled urge to create.... SOMETHING.
There is a punk song by Blink 182 called "Waggy". If I could ever play that (well) on guitar, I think I could die happier.
I've ranted about me. What I intended to say was... I am a lot like you, so you are not alone.

@@themanfromvolantis So much to unpack there. I too am at my most awkward, clueless, and offensive with girls I'm attracted to. And I've only had 2 relationships in my life, one from 1983-98, and one from 2011 to present. Funny you mentioned guitar...in 7th grade (pre pubes), I joined band class and learned trumpet. The next kid after me said "electric guitar". I didn't know the school even had one. So I said, "No, wait, I want electric guitar too!". Teacher said, too late, we only got one, you're on trumpet now. Life shaping gaffe. 2 years later I got into metal and got pubes, and noticed that girls loved guitar players. Not trumpet. That was 1980-ish. I've tried to pick up guitar on my own over the years, but get frustrated and quit.

Some better than me. As time went by, the depression grew deeper, and I lost interest in art, photography, music, and writing, and dropped out. I didn't like that one. You have your part in a situation but it's also important to know your triggers and weaknesses.
So if you realize the affect a neighbor, fellow employee or relative has on you, it's a good idea take a look at that, such as choosing to stay away from toxic people.
And the the belief that you control your emotions and that someone else didn't make you upset, that you did, isn't exactly true. Embrace your feelings. You have a right to get upset about certain things.
But I agree that acting on emotions while upset leads to very irrational decisions.

Some of the strongest smartest people I know overcome such hurdles.
You do not have to have a perfect body or be handsome or beautiful to be a success!
And many people who have had misfortunes become even _stronger_ and more successful.
Think of people like Oprah Winfrey, who had a nightmarish childhood full of abuse, poverty and instability, yet grew into a huge success and is extremely happy with her life, especially today.

So in other words, "smart" people are self sufficient, self reliant, and don't believe in luck, did I get that right...?
Funny, in my school days of a Catholic teachings. They would say you where, well, selfish, self-centred.
My how we where lied to when we where young...

Something is wrong with them, but I cannot describe it. It is probably, because they are emotional, they go to opera too many times. At least once, play Doom or Battlefield 3.

    • @lameesahmad9166
      @lameesahmad9166 2 ปีที่แล้ว

That is not true. I love art and well composed music from every era. I can look at abstract art as well as a Rembrandt painting and appreciate both. I dont like some composers like Johann Sebastian Bach and yet I really enjoy Europe, Air Supply, Karl Orf and Felix Mendelssohn. I can spent endless hours researching historical and archaeological topics and yet I like to play computer games. But I like to play these games because when I do I am figuring out problems at the same time. The full monotony and predictability of the game helps me to regroup and focus on bigger issues. It relieves my brain from being able to understand complex problems and helps me to focus more on the solution to the problem. I do however really enjoy opera singers like Luciano Pavarotti or Mario Olanzo but I dont like female opera singers very much because I like to be able to hear the words sung clearly which is difficult to distinguish when listening to a mezzo soprano voice.
Rethink your perceptions of intelligent people . We are not necessarily characters which pop culture tries to depict. You might find an artist who paints gentle landscapes listening to heavy metal music at the same time.

    The Effects of Overpopulation
It is only logical that an increase in the world’s population will cause additional strains on resources. More people means an increased demand for food, water, housing, energy, healthcare, transportation, and more. Birth control is the key.

What the speaker tells, is not "the golden law of being smart", because if you real consider about what may seperate the smart from the stupid, you will primarily find out, that this is very complicated stuff, because life itself is very complicated! What here is talked about, is more some kind of "ideology of the successful"! If you draw up a list of highly intelligent people you will find some who fit to SOME of the traits, that are described here, as well as people who don't!
    Its NOT that easy, folks!!

God confounds the wise! God's wisdom is common sense and logic through reaping what you sew whether good or bad and only He can make you realise is that we're the problem and that He actually chose us to be and made our choices for us before the foundations of the earth! In other words we had nothing to do or no power within us to be smart or good in the first place and yes He makes us accept ourselves and limitations too, because He blesses whoever He wants and the same goes for cursing so at the end of the day smart and dumb people no nothing
