- Hey everyone, I have been keeping these wheels a secret for a while now but it's finally time to throw them on the car... Boy do they look insane! I absolutely love the look of them on the car and the performance upgrade going from studded snow tires to ultra-performance tires is no joke. I am extremely excited to continue setting this car up for track days in the upcoming few weeks. Next on our list is Coilovers, Brakes, and some spacers.

Wow, just found your channel today. One of these cars is actualy abandoned in our barn and i would like to restore it. Also it has only like 6k miles/10k km. While seeing your vids, i actualy found out a lot of inportant stuff to potentionaly repair or upgrade. Thanks for all mand and keep up the vids.

The original wheels you had on are the TT competition wheels which were an optional upgrade… they are worth good money now and will go up in value in years to come
I'm definitely keeping them! I love the fat 5s haha. I need to figure out how to refinish them sometime!
@@HunterDirection I’ve just bought a mk1 roadster with 77k miles, only 2 owners, fsh for £1350 and it has the fat 5’s on… so happy with the deal I got. It’s now going to be garaged and loved and it will go up in value
Wheel spacers are illegal in Australia unless the manufacturer fitted them. So double check if they are legal in your country. Even if they are legal where you live do your research as there are many negatives to wheel spacers.

Great choice, finally got rid of those old rims. I run 8x18 oz ultraleggeras on my TT with 15mm spacers. I first used 25mm spacers but had rubbing marks on the tyres.
Also if u're gonna need to replace your ignition coils, consider upgrading to the 2.0tfsi coils.

I bought my 02 180 TT a few months ago, and your Chanel is awesome! It is not common to find a person who makes good content on a very similar car as mine. I have a set of black TSW wheels as well that are similar tho yours, and they look super good! Keep up the great content!

@@HunterDirection just keep in mind that these wheels are going to be super annoying to clean. Because they have so many spokes, they really like to hold dirt (at least for me). But In the end, clean wheels make the car look so much better!
Excellent choice of wheels, I consider black wheels as well for my TT Roadster, but 19 inch.

Great wheels! Looking forward to your spacers video. Since everyone has different offsets and spacers, where did you get your conical lug nuts? I'm planning to buy some at ECS Tuning. My spacers on my audio have are different from the front and rear.

@@HunterDirection Hoping you choose a Pulsar 550 as that's the direction I'm hoping to go. In these cars with the AWD you can take advantage of the fast spool. Currently I have a 1.8t powered Porsche 914 with a GT28rs and would like to play musical turbo swaps and move the Gt28rs over to my TT and Pulsar 550 the 914. I'm trying to create the ultimate poor mans Porsche coffin ; ). The Ko4 from the TT would then go to my MK1 cabby to replace the G60 Lysholm currently in it as the supercharger attracts too much attention.
The new black wheels looks great on your TT with the black on the spoiler and the black front lip. Did you remove the black wrap on the roof? (I know it was temporary for learning.)
