We just replaced our spark plugs and coil packs on our 2006 Audi TT Quattro 225hp version. A hard plastic piece broke on the vacuum system that comes out the Y you can see in your video at 6:56. We now have to drive 30 minutes to the closest main town that has parts stores. Crossing our fingers there is a generic part of correct diameter and length. Thanks for the video though, it helped give us some clarity on this specific engine. Wife and I have both worked on many of our own cars, but never an Audi.
I recently had a misfire run vcds and it was saying multiple misfire on all cylinders it turned to be suction vacuum purge valve that had broke at the end just waiting on part to arrive 👍
Amazing video! Just worked on my coils and spark plugs for the first time ever on my 2003 tt 225 with baseball seats and you guided me through it all! Thank you 🙏🏻
I saw that you are really pasionate about Audi. Can you give me an advice? I have some hesitation when I hard accelerate the tt 1.8T AUQ. What could it be? Coils? I unplugged the maf sensor, and it works the same. And I cleaned it also. Thank you in advance!
I completely agree. So many tasks/ideas seem incredibly complex when you only look at the big picture. Taking things one step at a time and building off what you know helps so much. Thank you for the support by the way, I really appreciate it!
I’d love some opinions on what my 2001 TT 225 is doing ..went for a joy ride after owning it a few weeks and lost cylinder 4 and pending 3 ..seriously go-carted it home. Thinking it was the plugs and coil packs I thought that would do the trick. It ‘helped’ but still a golf cart. I’m thinking either MAF or the crappy broken connectors going to the packs. Or worst case a bad ring or two. Happened instantly on a hard press. If i were to do this all over again, I would have babied it while replacing ORIGINAL AUDI coils 😂. Getting downpipe installed tomorrow with Aftermarket and we’ll see if that shines any light. Any advice would be great. Btw, only replaced 3 and 4 coils until i get my NGK’s. I wish i knew about the ones you got; these bolt ins are a biatch. Thanks for the vid bro
Connectors most likely but could also be burnt valves/ seats. Best check the compression if resolving electric poor wiring does not help. To start, check spark strength by removing and placing each coil, one at a time, with plug inserted and grounded to the rocker cover. Get a friend to turn the car over to check. Obviously wear rubber gloves and best do this in a shaded area. You might need to spray the plug end with carb cleaner etc first and regap, or even use a fresh plug, one that you know works. And if it turns out to be a no spark scenario, swap a coil pack and retest. Let us know how you get on.
Just look at ur fuel trims give u some insight -10 +10 will point towards ignition/mechanical let’s just say u had heavy -30 +30 then I would go towards the fuel delivery just curious what codes did u get and what’s was air fuel ratio
That's super dependant on where you live. I believe they are located in florida. I'm about as far as you can get from them in the US over in washington, and as long as the item is in stock it rarely takes more than a week.
@HunterDirection sweet man I've been using your little video series for an idea of what I want to do with my new 225 lol. Got a lot of work to go still but they are sweet little cars for sure
Hi my 225 was driving fine then all of a sudden started running rough with lack of power showing code p0301 any idea if this is plugs or coils ? Thanks
I actually made this one out of a universal lip. I've got a video on it with front end transformation in the title. It was a fun process! Thank you for the support
I can confirm the fear factor..I also don't trust mechanics..nor can I justify paying so much for simple tasks I could do if only I knew what to do and had the tools..
Glad to know I'm not alone in the fear of new jobs! I also think it's super satisfying when I can do work myself and enjoy saving money at the same time! Thanks for the support.
I have been looking into those a lot lately🤔 I wish there were more manual options in the states haha. Definitely a contender for the next project car on the channel!
Your delivery is very satisfying. I feel you have a real flare for YouTubing. Love the TT tutoring.
I really appreciate that! I am glad you are enjoying the videos. Thank you so much for the support:)
This video helped me get rid of the misfire on my 225! Thank you for awesome content.
I am delighted you found it helpful and like the content!! Thanks for the support!

Great video! A necessary upgrade indeed. Looking foward for more updates on both cars!
I am glad you enjoyed the video and are excited to see updates on the cars! Thanks for the support

Great video👍😊i did the same upgrade. I would upgrade the intake inlet to a bigger one to make the turbo breathe easier.👍
Yeah it is a great upgrade! I will definitely be looking for a bigger TIP as well. Thanks for the support!
Cool video brother. Same coils I use on the eclipse. They are strong. Very good. I also love the brackets.
Glad you like it! I was also really happy with how the brackets looked. They make the engine look alot newer than it is haha.

Nice video. That is something I have been meaning to do. I would recommend changing the TIP soon
Yeah it's a great upgrade to the stock coils! I'm definitely going to update the TIP soon. Thanks for the support!:)
I recommend putting a tiny bit of antisieze on the threads, it gets really hot down there and it’ll save you from future headaches
Great video bro. Keep em coming!!!
I am trying to install these coil packs, but I can't re-install the n249 bracket with R8 adapter plates installed. Did you not run into this issue?
Re the 'gatekeeping'...it seems to me that understanding *why* things are being done is vital.

Hey man was gonna order a different set of coil packs and was wondering how the ship time from UroTuner is

Also got engine light
quick tip if you don't feel like buying a special spark plug socket.
Just use a normal socket and pull them out with the coil pack 😘
Woah that's a great idea! I will 100% be trying that when I throw coils on my S4 next :) thanks for the support!
Where’d you get that lip bro
I actually made this one out of a universal lip. I've got a video on it with front end transformation in the title. It was a fun process! Thank you for the support
If you haven’t done it yet just delete the N249. Makes life so much easier
Brilliant 👍🏾
Mine did the same, i decided to get my mk1 tt remapped, on the drive home the gearbox blew its arse out, £1200 later and its back on the road 🤣
welp, 2 of my coils died just now, gonna but these probably, although my weekend plans are now ruined.
i never had to remove my charge pipe just relocated the 249 system lol
