    I know this is an older video, but I wanted to say thank you for making these. You do good research and impart good knowledge. Too many people want polish and professional videos, personally, I want videos that have solid info like yours. Thank you again sir.

    Always love watching your videos, very detailed instructions. Waiting on the magnaflow exhaust system install and how it will sound. Keep the great videos coming. Thank you sir!

      I actually have the magnaflow installed and I have the footage, I will be editing it this weekend.

    You can take plastic stem Q-tips to clean up the old/excess grease. Just get a plastic grocery bag to dump them into. Swab-dab the grease off, toss in the bag and toss the bag. You can get a box of 300-500 at Rite Aid for about $3. Good for lots of things when cleaning or applying glues or lubes.

      I actually have a bunch of them in different sizes, they are included in my injector/bore cleaning set. Just never thought about using them on this. Thanks for the tip

      Great point, I'm always using them for gun stuff, I never really think about using them on the vehicles.

    Great stuff. Will be doing this in a couple thousand miles on my ‘23. Long live the GX.

    nice informative video. bot a locknlube gun and going to use valvoline palladium. as another viewer said, probably wise to use another set of jacks under this incase it fails.

    Pretty scary jack setup, i would not go under this car without another set of jack stands under the frame.

    • @DIYSpeedGarage
      @DIYSpeedGarage  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It was pretty solid, i had the car up there for a few days, no problem. However i did buy the truck adapters for the quick Jack, next time I'll be using those. No need for Jack stands, the quick Jack is a jack stand.

    Like your videos. Get a go pro with a stand to make your life easier. I’ll buy you one if you keep showing me how to do stuff on my GX.

      I've got a GoPro, i believe it's the Hero 9. And for most of my videos i use a DJI osmo action. I have a stand and sometimes i use it, just depends on what I'm working on. Thank you for watching

    Great video. Thanks for showing the steps. Near the transfer case there seems a telescopic joint. Do we need to grease it as well ? Thanks

    • @DIYSpeedGarage
      @DIYSpeedGarage  ปีที่แล้ว

      The only joints that I know of are all in the video. If there is a something there to connect the grease gun then go ahead and grease it. Thanks for watching 👍🏻😎

    Do you have to take the skid plate off to do a complete job or can you leave it on?

    • @DIYSpeedGarage
      @DIYSpeedGarage  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You can leave them on if you have factory skid plates

  • @Astor4o
    @Astor4o 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    You are not too much of a wuss, safety first - I honestly would have removed the plate and always position myself so that in the worst case - truck doesn't fall on any part of me :D
    Thank you for the detailed walkthrough!

      @@DIYSpeedGarage Oh wow! Awesome! Hope you had a good time!
      Yeah - they are SUPER popular but I really don't like diesels (and the engine they put in the is very anemic for the weight of the vehicle)
      What a tiny world we live in, huh? :D

      Yes it was fun. I visited all the historic sites and traveled all over.
      I'm actually half Bulgarian, my mom is from Sofia.
      I'm going to Croatia next month, thinking of moving out there (obviously on the coast) so in going to check it out before I make my move.

    Hey DIY Speed Garage, on GX460, is it the only 3 place that need to be greased up?

  • @tonycaine5930
    @tonycaine5930 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    So there are one zerk fitting in the front and three in the back on the Lexus GX460?
