My first snake is a anery female Colombian she a rattlesnake mimic and now I have a female Argentine. My first is pushing 6 feet now and no one will go near her bc she’s very wary of anyone but me and I’ve been bit in the face twice while handling lol once was in front of my dad.
I keep them on mice through jumbo mice then jump to small rats. Jumbo/XL mice are similar in size to weaned rats. I skip over weaned rats. The BCC are about 2.5-3 when I start offering small rats. I tend to feed something relatively small for the snake, but more frequently. It's just the way I do it.
Great video Evan. Such beautiful animals and love to see your setups and discussion of care parameters. Definitely taking all of this into consideration for my setup. Loved seeing you put those old school neodesha cages to use.
Such beautiful snakes. I liked learning about their care. The True Red Tail Boas compared by location and husbandry was was informative. Thank you.
I love the old Neodesha's.
me too!
Wow the Neodesha brought back memories
Still one of the best. I'd have a room full of them if I could find them. Thanks for watching.
very nice collection!
Thank you, Hector.

How long do you keep your young boas on mice before transitioning to rats?

I love getting great boas into great homes. I'm excited for you to have yours.
Where can I buy some of your snakes?
I don't have any available and probably won't this year. If you subscribe to this channel, I announce all availability.
Just say it. Argentines are better
LOL. They are better pets for most people.
