  • Here's a video of me running one of my large cage stacks. I do this 2 times a week. One big thing I think people need to appreciate is the compounding nature of cage. 4 baby boas turn into this in 5 years. If you like this video, let me know. I'll make more of them showing other animals. I just clean cages and talk about the animals and what goes through my head during the weekly routines.

    Great video! Sitting here watching you clean for a half hour putting off cleaning my own snakes. Its like one of those dreams where you wake up and get dressed only to actually wake up and still have to get up and get going.

    And you bring up good points like the fact about the animals not having a down season because they are continually living. It is a rewarding hobby but it does require attention and care.

      It's a grind and it's not glamorous.

    Yes, nice setup and care process. Thoughtful. And nice to see the real side of the day to day care

      @@EvanKayExoticshey man, i have a 1-ish year old argentine feeding on wean-rats who is pretty active...i was wondering how often you would feed your argentines at that age...he seems pretty determined if i wait more than 11 days...do you feed argentines more often than redtails?

      I feed BCO and BCC the same in that I feed based on what I see that animals needing. I personally feed mice through size xl, and I wait to switch to rats until they can eat a small rat. For reference, I am feeding a yearling BCO large mice and I'm feeding a two year old XL mice. I'm feeding sub two year old boas every 7-10 days something moderately sized. Especially in the warm season, if they are active and searching and it's been at least 7 days, I'd say feed your snake.

      @@EvanKayExotics thanks man, when i bought him they were feeding him every 7 days or so and now i see why ...hes pretty active and loves the warm side of his tank. I also heard that xl mice were fatty or something which is why i was gonna skip out on those and plus they already had him on wean-rats when i bought him.

      @@EvanKayExotics i think it was brian boas who put it in my brain to skip out on xl mice but i cant remember exactly why but i really appreciate you responding since their isnt much info on bco feeding like there is bci/bcc on the internet.

      Those are animal plastics cages. I recommend ordering them with double ventilation, which they will do for free. AP is a good company with good prices, but the lead times for cages is 6+ months. Thanks for watching, Miles.

    Great setups, is your heat source on the right or left under the humid hides? Thanks!

      @EvanKayExotics  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Thanks for watching...The heat panels are on the left, and the humid hides are under them. This means the humid hides double as a basking platform. It's common for them to sit on top of the boxes while they are digesting meals.
