Hi Kris, I do agree with you that hiding everything in menus is not always a great idea. On the other hand, lots of functions are only setonce and then never again afterwards (Mirrors, seats, even temperature etc.) What's more Polestar uses the Android Automative system, with near flawless voice recognition. Thus I consider the problem of the submenus being relative considering all of the above. And last but not least. You can configure quite some shortcuts that lead you directly to the settings.
As an Audi Driver I would pick the Polestar 4, it's cheaper & has a much more high quality interior then Audi does. Why pay more to get less? Yes the Audi looks nice from the outside, but I sit inside and if I pay a premium price I want a premium interior and that is something in which Audi has been lacking a lot lately...plastic plastic plastic and that ugly piano finish in the middle console and with the A6 even on the door of the driver seat where you press all the buttons for windows, etc..
"it's cheaper" .. I beg to differ. Currently in the Netherlands, the Q6 e-tron with the smaller battery starts at 66k,- and the P4 at 65k considering that the A6 'should' be cheaper the starting price is similar. Yes, it cost some extra to get the packages, but same goes for the P4. Next, I'm looking at it from a lease perspective, so there's also the notion of what the market things the devaluation of the car would be and which one would be better in those terms where it seems like the Audi is the safer bet and thus having a lower lease price.
It also has way better efficiency and charging. As a road trip car it will annihilate the polestar 4 likely. And IMO it looks a lot better. Interior wise.. idk yet. I come from an i4 and the A6 might be a slight downgrade there. But those specs more than make up for it.
@@robinsharepointblog in my country I configured an Q6 e-tron and landed at around 110k, for the money I could get a Porsche E-Macan or Macan instead with better interior quality then the Q6 e-tron & A6 e-tron currently offers. I also configured an E-Macan and with taxes reduction the result was roughly 108k. Mainly due to the many additional costs with audi about the isolation addons, frunk, sound system, etc.. The Polestar 4 fully configured was for me at around 86k with tinted windows, sound system, bigger tyres, etc... the full package. I guess that the A6 will be around 100k if not more as well. I watched some reviews about the new A6 e-tron and the interior quality is the same like the Q6 e-tron which isn't good either for the high premium price you pay.
@@CyAn-S Probably yes, I will testdrive the polestar 4 soon and can compare it to my current Audi e-tron. However you can find some reviews already on YT about the Quality and the interior quality as well like from CarManiac or Autogefühl from the A6 e-tron and it isn't great which is a shame. If an Audi would interest me size wise it will be the upcoming A4 e-tron but the interior quality and materials used need to be much much better then right now.
As an Audi driver for years; If it weren't for the fear of Polestar going bankrupt; Polestar 4 guaranteed! Finer exterior and interior. The plastic interior in today's Audi EVs just isn't premium at all. So what should I buy next? Maybe a VW iD 7 GTX station wagon? 3-400K NOK lower than a comparable A6 e-tron Avant? (Maybe you can take a comparison of this two?😉) Or maybe wait for the upgrade of a Tesla MY, and save another few tens of thousands? Bigger storage, nicer plastic in the interior, fewer kilos to carry around, and more fun to drive! ( The biggest problem nowadays is Elon himself😖) And when you mention knobs vs menus. I think you need more attention to select the buttons in the door handle of the Audi than in a menu right in front of you.😉
Sorry but A6 is just miles ahead of Polestar in terms of EV specs. Polestar might have slightly better materials and infotainment. But for me, a sedan guy, the polestar is out of the question.
Polestar has way better specification without needing to get lots of options that always bumps the Audi base price. My last 3 cars have been Audi (RS3, A7 and A5) but next will be a P4 over the A6.
Aside from charging, what “EV specs” are better? Both have similar range, technology (I’d argue the p4 has the better MMI by far), luxuriousness and performance.
I saw a Polestar 4 today, looking good! Funny thing that I checked the plate and it was bulit in Sweden, maybe a prototype as I live near their proving ground. Built in Sweden in the middle of May. I am also a little concerned about Polestar, are they going to exist in 5 years, I’m not sure actually. Geely has so many better selling brands so they may transfer the good parts to them and end Polestar.
I want a Zapotec GO home charger. and Yes, as someone with Budget in mind, Polestar is hard to ignore. but if I had all the money I ever needed. I'd go with that Audi!
I think I'd go with the S6 as well. Only because where I live there are multiple Audi service centers where I bring my car in if needed versus one Polestar (of 3 in the State) 50 miles away. I'm also not sure how the tariff will affect the Polestars price.
Somebody commented without watching the video.... 🙈 I am very clear about not having driven the car. But that does not mean you cannot compare them, because you can.
@@KrisRifa There has been a lot of discussion in the financial community about the fairly high probability that Geely might abandon this brand. It has been a money loser for them. I was fully aware of the ownership and the company. I bring this up because of this potential issue. There is some discussion that Polestar may be folded into Volvo's electric arm. Frankly, with the poor leadership at Polestar and the awful financial results, this is more likely than not.
Over 2 meters wide? With or without mirrors? If without this would mean over 2,2m. So no left lane in construction zones. And good look with parking garages…
Why are all these bots here? The Audi e6 will sell 100x better than Polestar 4. Looks better, drives better and is much cheaper because it has a resell value - the polestar is unsellable in 3 years, same as first polestar 2 right now
@bellman1094 lease rate is all about resell value and availability. Compare the offers in one year and you will see that Audi will have very competitive rates. Not right now, the e6 demand will be high and therefore the prices. Polestar 4 rates are as low as possible, the company need to bring cars to the customer or they will go out of business
Personally, I'll go with the P4. Luxurious and cheaper than the Audi. And also unique looking on the roads.

Yeah, but adjusting sensitivity on auto-wipers? I do this with a stalk, multiple times per drive when raining.
Audi prices are crazy. I loved my A4 Allroad, but even if Audi A6 Etron would cost the same as the Polestar 4, I’d choose the Polestar 4.

Audi e-tron doesn't have V2L functionality. And it doesn't have 22kw AC, so the charing speed is actually slower than the PS4 sometimes
