I think it looks great! I would be more likely to choose the Q6 etron instead for the versatility and passenger space when my Model Y lease is up. The A6 would be better suited as a secondary vehicle for me.
Hey Jordan and Kyle.... Always interested in seeing all these EV's you cover. Could you do a show on a few of the underdogs in the EV markets. like there was a CA based company that was working on bringing to market the Mullen 5. Then there was one called Faraday Future. It would be cool to see what companies are still out there...pushing forward in the EV space and a review from the Out of Spec team.
For what it's worth I prefer sedans, but I need one with significant storage. The lift back is a reasonable solution for me. Challenge to a Race to Vegas style event in Europe is fewer wide open spaces. That said Frankfurt to Andorra is about the same distance.
Avant , concept looks great, if they would go with that, create something exciting. USA is graphing its feat on digital mirrors, how many MPG would we save just with this change ?
Audi really nailed it with A6 range for me love both Sportsback and Avant, and finally proper EV estate by legendary Audi that brought fast estates to us. Can't wait to see it on the road. Another great podcast Jordan and Kyle, also review video was awesome 👍😂😂😊😊
We dont really care about 22kW charging in Germany. 11kW is plenty. If you want to get 22kW homecharging you would have to "apply" for an extra permit and might even need a new upgraded electrical connection from the electricity supplier. Its just a bureaucratic hassle. And a lot of homeowners combine their solar panels with the charging station to smart charge the car. Most of them wont be able to charge the car with this high output of electricity. So for us, 11kW is just perfect. 22 kW is just nice to have. I actually doubt that most people would even spec it if Audi would offer that option
22kW is mainly for public charging. Still not a good look to not even offer this option in this segment even though they had two extra years to develop it
Thanks, Guys! I am totally into the Audi S6 Sportback, and have been waiting for it while I currently drive my 2013 RS Audi e-tron GT. If this bad boy has the range, premium interior (including massage seats), and can hit 4.0 sec. 0-60, I’m in. Only wish the back seats had more space and headroom. Hoping Audi comes strong with lease and purchase incentives. Let’s go! 😮
Looking great / Awesome for Audi - Why there will not be Wagons for America? Really? Why? Very slick and elegant from the front, side and special at the back. 😀
I like this. It’s probably going to be too expensive for my budget but I would take the wagon in the rear wheel drive version. And to why you would take this over a Q6, some of us like the sedan/wagon format better, I think they drive better and don’t need the capacity of the Q6.
It isn't, it's a different platform than ID7, even if specs look similar. Audi is on an 800 v and charges a lot faster, different driving dynamics as well. Is it worth the extra 30k? Of course not, but no one is asking us😅
@@rcpmac Don't worry, this is a European specification, which means 3 phase 32A. Many shopping centres have several of these in their parking lots. So for every hour of shopping, you can charge ~20% of the SoC on this car. This is handy for folks who can't charge at home because they don't need to use DC chargers for basic commuting.
18:11 There are two reasons why they don't want to launch their cars in the US market now. The first is charging. If they brought it with CCS you would criticize them, but you still have no independent charging network with NACS and the owner of the existing network is pretty unpredictable. The second reason is the upcoming elections, where one Mangolini is running a campaign based on hatred of everything that is not from the USA. 22:25 The Rimac isn't selling not because it's an electric car, but because its performance doesn't match its price. The Rimac Nevera is overbuilt, but not in a good way. In an earlier interview Mate mentioned that tuning and tweaking from ~1800hp to the promised maximum power took them 8 months (if I remember correctly). The thing is, if you look at their attempt on the Nordschleife only about 2% of the time of the lap they used power over 1200kW. In this attempt, they only matched the time of the 1000kw Nio EP9 from 2016 because the Nevera is overweight( it has 900 kg more than the Koenigsegg CC850) and ate the tires. This car was just 2.2 seconds faster than the Porsche Taycan Turbo GT, but at eight times the price. So if his team had done the proper approach and set as a goal the weight instead of the maximum power. They could have produced a better balanced car. It wouldn't have the fancy paper specs that owners never use. On the other hand the car would be lighter, so it wouldn't be as bad on the tires and therefore better on the track, and still just as powerful on the sprint and at top speed.
I think there is on case that hurts Audi/VW or EVs in gerneral in germany. First A4 and A6 or Passat are company cars. But leasing an EV is different to US. So i can get e better ICE car for company car as an EV car now. And the benefit of operating cost are not present in the fleet managemant of many companys. So i realy want an EV so i traded a VW Passat for a ID3. For VW, the ID7 was ment to replace the passat, but the lease is to expensive.. Who else would do it like me??
The lease price is dynamic - if the car is selling well the leasing factor is high, if its slowing so does the lease factor it will get cheaper and cheaper over time. If a car is brand-new prices are high - if they are on the market like 2 years they are way lower (Here in Germany)
Not that I understand - The ID7 is on totally different platform as the PPE - which is 800V charging monster high efficiency, frunk etc. vs. the MEB 400V no frunk also good platform. But not.
@@bavariancarenthusiast2722 no worries, but I do agree with your assessment, the MEB platform could have been ironed out a bit; and yes, this new architecture seems to improve on all those areas... looking forward to see how it performs with the "Out of Spec" multi tiered test drive
The Macan EV is soooooooooooooo ugly though, even more ugly than my new Electric Mini Countryman which is saying something about ugly things. The wagon A6 Etron Avant is an elegant car in comparison to both of those
The Polestar 3 and 4 (even with no back window) are better choices. And this is coming from a long time Audi driver. I think Audi is lost in the EV era.
The Avant really makes me reconsider the whole SUV thing. And for the colors, you can always go Audi Exclusive palette for more than 50 options.

Q6 is smaller than A6, as said to Kyle in his video at the out of specs review channel.
