I was impressed by the “safety check” of the van prior to continuing on with the journey. I did not expect a “professional” check, I thought the driver will just give it a road test and be done with it. That was positively unexpected! Can’t wait for your next video, thank you both🙏
Very professional driver, making sure you're ok and the safety of the car before continuing on to Lijiang. So glad everyone involved was ok! Loving your vlog guys🙏❤️
Indeed. Very positive.
Glad to see you'all are OK and showing us what car accident scenerio looks like in China. Car accident survival rate here in Southern California is 50/50 because of if you survive the crash, it is likely you'll be attack by the other driver.
啊?
徒步虎跳峡一定不虚此行,路上注意安全,期待你们精彩的探险。
Very good experience car accident at China.. Beautiful video's and so beautiful scenery.. Cheers 👍👍👍😘😘😘Malaysia
Have a nice morning ☕ from a fan in NYC. Awesome guys!
Thank you so much 😊🙏🏼
I know I said this before but I really am loving your Chinese series - I’d give your channel the number 1 spot in introducing China to the rest of the English speaking world with Yan’s channel a solid number 2 👍🏻👍🏻
Don't worry about car accidents. China is a civilized country. Police will come and make reports and go according to the law and they will solve that out. Unlike uncivilized countries the drivers of both cars may start to punch each other and blame each other's faults.
More important is no one got hurt.
Hello, First , I was so sorry for your accident, but so glad no one was hurt. I felt that the city was really cute but when you think of the word ‘ancient’ it did not fit. Nonetheless, another city to explore. The lady selling items had a good sense of humor. You both make your videos so enjoyable!! Thank you. 🙏
Lijiang ‘s old town was largely destroyed in an earthquake in 1996. I was lucky enough to be there in 1995 and was impressed by the true “ancient” town. The town has been rebuilt since and from this video I’d say they did a great job.
A very rare opportunity to experience a fender bender, and to interact with a Chinese police
It was a great episode despite the accident of course! So glad no one got hurt 🙏🏼
Love the hotel you stayed at … so many lovely places to visit this side of China 🇨🇳 ❤ 😊
I can’t wait to see more!
Sabrina 🇫🇷🇬🇧
Lijiang is the most beautiful ancient city I've ever seen❤. I'm in love with this place. Literally so beautiful can't describe in words . Watching from Nepal ❤️💕
Another great video from you both China is so beautiful l wish l could speak Chinese to enable me to go the places you are showing us of the normal tourist tracks, look forward to your next episode.
Oh gosh, so sad to hear about the accident. Great that you both are fine and are able to continue the journey to Lijiang. Wow, Lijiang's Old Town is amazing, love those old ancient buildings...very coooool indeed !! Interesting story narrated by Flora about that bridge noodle. Night views are beautiful. Well, great video with great content and footages.....always very entertaining to watch. Good job, Flora and Note.

I think Lijiang Old Town and surrounding areas are definitely worth checking out. But our favourite old town is still Shaxi Ancient Town 😄
@@FloraandNote I felt the same way when I visited Lijiang last year. Of course it has to do with my preference of not liking crowded places, but on top of that the Lijiang Ancient Town just gives out this touristy / commercial vibe that people like me usually don't want to see in a supposed paradise-esk place like Yunnan. I went there at night, walked around for at most 30 minutes, then went back to hotel and travelled to Shangri-La the next day. Lucky me, I knew I wouldn't like it there so I planned it all in advance.
@@FloraandNote I second that. Shaxi Ancient Town may be not the best, but the most impressive ancient town.
I had a car accident couple years ago, me and my mum are waiting to driving out of underground parking, and a car behind us crash us from the back. We had to find a place to park after we get out to deal with this. The police came super fast like 5 mins after we call, and toom pictures of both cars and we were free to go.
I thought I will see a police car, but the police actually coming on a e-bike. I was worried about how can the police car get in because where we park is between the underground parking exit and a road only allow leaving. With the e-bike, the police can get in without go through the underground parking.
About the Naxi people you're talking about, they probably rent their home and store to other people to run because they move to bigger city as their children get educated and have job in city, and they want to move entire family there to get easier access to better hospital. Or they simply think they are not good at running business as younger people. I have been to a old village in Guizhou province before, the hotel owner told me that she bought the building from a local family who moved to larger city. There is some locals running restaurant or hotel, but the majority is people from other places. The are young people leaving their hometown and come back after graduating from university because their hometown because a famous tourist attraction so they can find job at their hometown. But there are also people who tries to sale their property to move to large city because they want better education for their kids.
Beautiful place. So clean and modern highway. Lijiang is such a beautiful place. Glad everyone is OK
I am so glad you guys came out of this experience unharmed ...Of all the adventures you embark on and some to me seem scary especially when it deals with heights you just go thru them like a breeze. The way the accident was taken care of by the police and your driver were very professional. It is so matter of fact in China the way they handled it. Im sure it wouldn't be that civil in certain countries. Great video. I just realized how great Flora is at storytelling and to me that is what makes all you videos.Note you are also good at moderating too.
Especially during this video you were so calm and aware of everything that was going on. Looking forward to next weeks video.. Aloha
Sorry to hear about your accident! Glad you're both OK and things turned out well in the end
I'm so glad to hear that you guys are okay after your car accident in China. I was in Lijiang last year to have my wedding photos taken. It is such a beautiful city. I think this kind of small city in China is much more fun and beautiful than the biggest cities like Shanghai and Beijing.
As always, love your video. And also big shoutout to your Mandarin comprehension!
Beautifully Narrated Video ….❤
glad u guys are fine.. china def seems very safe.. the police came fast no unnecessary drama… lijiang is so beautiful.. can’t believe it’s an ancient town.. the chinese government do invest a lot in beautifying lijiang.. so organised..
All Ancient cities you guys brought us along are so charming and gorgeous of their own charm.
So happy you two are safe and unharmed from the accident. That is one of the scary things about traveling, just getting to your destination safe and sound. Love the poses Note was styling on the half-moon. I think he has a shot at being a model. 555
Last Nov I also went to Yunnan, same as you, Dali first, went to Shaxi then Lijiang.. and yes I was also disappointed and didn’t enjoy Lijiang as much, because it is way too commercialized. Shaxi is def my fav.. I’ve left my heart there. Btw hello from Canada 😊
Hello Flora and Note ....be careful and safe traveling together ❤️ 😊 at least you're okay 👍 👌 enjoyed China 🇨🇳 😉 😄
Not so good with the car accident but so glad you were safe and made it to LiJiang. It looks amazing! And the hotel you stayed, wow, next level I would say😊 Thanks for sharing this beautiful video again, can't wait to click it and finish at one go❤
Appreciate the honest opinion about Lijiang at the end of the video. First time I went, in 2005, I heard nothing about it and didn't expect anything and went with a group of under 30s. Place had an amazing vibe, music, alcohol, coffee, chill spots, horse riding, jade dragon mountain, cheap massages etc. Had an amazing time as everything was dirt cheap and accomodation was like 50rmb a night. The streets were a lot darker so had to carry a flashlight when getting back to the hotel after a crazy night out. Went again in 2009 and rooms were 150rmb a night, less drinking, streets were brighter, but the original vibe wasn't there just like things had toned down yet more commercialized. But then again, I still had a great time. I guess, things have changed a lot now and it depends what your preference is.
Good of you to have made the car accident a big part of the episode. Adds another wrinkle of realism in your adventures. It went about as well as one could expect. Cops did their job; driver was professional and humane. Glad no one got hurt. Would’ve been an opportune time to pitch travel insurance. Are you listening, potential travel insurance sponsors?? ;)
Another lovely town and honest opinion of it 🫶
很棒的视频,祝你们玩的开心,一路平安
Glade you are both ok 😊
What a beautiful perfect town-like Disneyland perfect 😁🙃lol I feel you Flora! It’s so true though, I’d rather no expectations not know what to expect when I’m exploring; yet, driving or flying or itinerary of getting somewhere I NEED to know what to expect! Love the bridge bowl of noodles and bet that broth is divine! Note-that hat was so good on you! I can only imagine how hard it is to not buy items with little space in bags! Such fabulous craftsmanship one can find. I do love a good night video with everything lit up in lights of old times and new! Have oxygen will travel -mountains next , with SAFE TRAVELS! No more and then…😂😂😂🙏🏻❤️
Very eventful for you both, so happy no one was hurt. Kudos to the driver for making sure it was safe to continue. Beautiful scenery, I do agree, other old towns were more authentic. Looking forward to your next video!
Glad you’re both ok!
I got to go to Li Jiang over 20 years ago and felt a lot like you guys do. It was very commercialized back then as well, but very beautiful. Lots of backpackers back then. I can't wait to see Tiger Leaping Gourge again!
So glad you guys are ok❤
Safety first, glad yall are ok. I would love to walk around this town, it’s beautiful. Great video!!!👍🏼
Wow, it's barely recognisable to me now.
I was there more than 15 years ago and it was just a nice place to chill. Now, it looks a lot more touristy.
I remember that on that trip, the highlight for me was not this Lijiang Ancient Town itself. I stayed there but starting on the second day, every day I took a cab to an ancient village 20-25 min away called Shuhe. That place was splendid. Wonder what it's like now.
I don't blame you for feeling that Lijiang may be a tad overhyped. Imagine, I was there 15 years ago and even then I'd already felt that it was getting too commercialised. And now, what I see from your video, none of the corners you featured in your video are recognisable to me anymore. So it's definitely over-commercialised now. On the contrary, your videos of Shaxi is so much more tranquil.
Lovely video!
You guys really make wonderful vlogs. Beautiful. Makes oñe want to go there too. Thank you❤
I've been there about 10 years ago. it's a beautiful place town and it's well worth a visit. I do agreed, it's was comercialize before and it seems more today. I loved the peacefulness 10 years ago, but I bet I do not have the same feeling today as it gets more busy. Very nice video.
Great content
Glad to see you both are okay
Lovely Video
I did the same trip a year ago and the roads are really good and large over there. Sorry to see weren't lucky and got involved in an accident! Looking forward to your video of Shangri-la!
New video is coming in 36 minutes 😁
Your caption scared the wits out me before watching your vid fully… Thank goodness no one was hurt… cars can be replaced but you guys cannot .. stay safe 🙏🙏. So many dishonest businesses but glad you guys got a standup driver/company 👍. Beautiful city
Omg! Phew glad you two are ok
thanks for the video and glad to know that you both are ok, thank god!
God bless n be safe always in your travels Flora n Note. Thank goodness all of your group n car driver escaped unharmed. Take care, thank you for sharing this beautiful village in China👏👍😍
Love these videos. Even a video of an accident is well edited 😅.
I'm so happy you guys are ok...
Glad every one is okay. I like your channel.I travelled solo for the first time in life to Japan last year.Exciting and weird at the same time 😊.Your experience is great and humble, showing many beautiful places, boutique hotels, food.Someday I will dare myself to go around backpacking.Love from Australia 🤗👍
nice..
So happy you’re both ok. Please take care of each other
Glad both of you didn't get hurt. What an experience! Admire your cool attitude.❤
Glad to see you are both ok ❤
Watching your videos is always pleasant. Beautiful Flora and Cute Note tell the story calmly and gently, even an accident became an unforgettable experience. Nice!
So beautiful, I mean both the couple and Lijiang!
Very enjoyable video and interesting story, shame about the car accident, thankful you both came out ok! Take care.
Glad you are both ok .Take care
Yes Lijiang is very commercial, bit like Marrakesh, but there are a few quiet old town near the mountain too
Honestly, quite an unique experience for a travel vlogger. you get to experience china and its people as authentic as it could be for a tourist.😅
You two should come and travel around New Zealand love watching your vlogs.
I felt so peaceful when watching your videos. Hope you guys come back to China again and visit my hometown Harbin in winter. I'm sure it will blow your mind~~~
We’ll add that to our list for next time 😉
Good to see you guys are not hurt.
Hi ...Glad you both are fine...maybe a bit shaken. ....take care.
19:58 Must be metres not feet... Cute town. We enjoy your videos!
Travel Safe Flora and Note - great video - I wish you talked to some of those Naxi people and get their perspective
Was worry about you … but it was a beautiful ending place to explore… I caught you in phrase that you will get 2 more people to run a business together… can you please count me in… ? Becos I am so so so inspired by you for a long time, and looking forward to join with you both someday , it’s like a dream come true…
It's Hotpot 😂😂❤❤enjoyed your meals
I'm your new subscriber. Flora, your personality is so sweet. Note, you are so gentle to your wife. Love seeing you two interacting together, makes my heart feels so happy and warm. I love your videos, you not only show us the places but also tell us the stories of the places/people/food. In this video, you tell us about the love story of the noodle soup. This makes your video so much more interesting, thank you! By the way, what drone did you use to film the roof top? I am thinking of going to China and would like to purchase one but not sure which ones are good. There are so many cheap ones and very expensive ones. I saw DJI, but too expensive for me as I'm not a TH-camr (he, he, he, maybe not yet). I'm just an average person wanting to document my travels, any suggestions?
For me only DJI. The only difference left is the model. For non-professional-level shooting, I recommend the mini series, which are mainly small and easy to carry.
The cheapest DJI in China is around $300, and also have some cheaper drone brands like Potensic but I dont know about their performance. I guess you can find a cheaper one in Shenzhen, China because most of them are made there
@@MrJohnson088 Thank you, I'll go to their website and have another look.
@@user-lv4pg9ks3x I want to buy the drone before I fly to China so I have time to learn to fly it. I'll have a look at Potensic to see what they have. Thank you for your suggestion.
It is much safer than car accident in the U.S.. And prove all the cameras are not watching everyone. You still have to call the police.
If every camera is monitoring 1.4 billion people at all times... how big a network, computing power and storage space would that require... who would believe such a stupid lie?
@@markxia7632 You would be surprised how much stupid lie people believe. You can go read some of the review of doorbell cameras in the US.
Thanks!
We appreciate your support 🙏🏻❤️ Thank you!
You 2 never fail us, eventhough the the trip started with a car accident, the rest of the video was fantastic, cheers!
最后还是没去玉龙雪山吗?可以多用用团购,比菜单会便宜不少的。
这里的夜景更漂亮!
Guys visit south asia too, you deserve a lot more subscribers ❤
Lijiang is magical
还好没事,多多小心,坐在车后排安全性最高
glad you guys are ok....the driving in Asia is dangerous....you guys travel a lot, it's just a matter of time you get into a car accident...do you guys have travel insurance?
Note, I like your ink.
Haha thank you 😂👍
Interesting location but I think I would feel the same about it being almost a bit "too perfect" and more like being in a movie set than a real life town. Still it is beautiful and those clothes were amazing. I will have to read more about that minority group, the Naxi. Thanks as always for bringing us along Flora and Note!
They were getting the footage from the camero in the car. The witness on the involed parties is not so valid, because sometimes peopel will say something for their benefit, no matter intentional or unintentional.
They called the police because the compensation from insurance or involved parties needs police's accident certification, to certificate who bears primary responsibility.
Don't worry even if the car is damanage and can not go on the road, the company will send another car in a short time. Otherwise there will be complains and pernalty fine(as long as they are formal company with business license).
Travel safe
glad u 2 are ok
Note, Flora is an angel.
哈哈哈,你俩是我见到的第一对遇到车祸的博主,看起来是小剐蹭,不用担心。
Be safe
❤
Consumption in Lijiang Old Town is much higher than outside. Of course, this is common in famous scenic spots.
Dont all cars has a dash cam now days?
❤❤
❤❤❤❤❤
你好,樊少凡😃
How come you guys did not try wearing the traditional Hanfu costume when you are in China, dont you think it will be so cool to have in your photo collection ...
I would love to have a relationship like this❤😊
Bro she so cute and sweet.
Typical situation - I have faced near-accident situations sooo many times driving in China. This is especially true in Chengdu.
