Flora and Note I love the beautiful temples of Japan. Yomogi Mochi is real good in my opinion. Flora and Note this Japan series has been so great. Also I been studying Japanese myself for years.

Nara was the Imperial Capital of Japan c. 710. Really like this video....home. The green mochi is kinako mochi. Kinako is the brown powder on the outside. Nice scent and pleasant flavor. Oh and mochi pounding is especially important at New Year. Enjoyed the video. Thank you.
My favorite part of Japan was Nara 🦌, I can’t wait to go back. Such a magical place in the world that I hope many get to experience. So cool that you guys got to see the Mochi being made, I didn’t see it while I was there😍
It was so lovely especially coming here right after Kyoto where it was packed with people. If we were to go again, we'd probably spent a few nights here to explore more of the area. We saw tons of cute udon shops and cafes in the area too.

I laughed so hard when Note ate the deer cracker (something I would do) and Flora said, "oooooo o.....kay" in a sad, resigned voice. Beautiful video. ❤ I wouldn't have liked Notes version of the blessing either! 😅
It's like watching a child 😂 Sometimes when we go hiking, I have to keep an eye on him so he doesn't try all the berries, including the poisonous ones.
I like Nara too. I'd been there twice. First time was in 1979, last time was 2016. There seems looking the same 👍 good video

Myself and my son went to Nara from Kyoto in October, well worth the trip... the mochi is really good and like you said ultra fresh... Note to visitors, bring cash. We were down to v little yen when we got to the door of the temple to see the giant Buddha and the poor lady at the cash desk just couldn't let us in. So we didn't get to see it in the flesh so to speak and it is a hike to it from the train station.

We did! We were looking at flights to Mexico City after our Canada trip but they were more expensive than going to Japan … so we came to Japan instead 😄

I absolutely enjoy your production value. All your shots are stabilized so well and I like your color grading. May I ask what equipment you use? Gimbal for the mirrorless camera or possibly a DJI Osmo Pocket? I'm a big fan!
Thank you so much. We use Fujifilm xs20. No gimbal, just internal stabilization and iPhone for brolls 😊

Huge line at the Mochi vendor everyone is at, or just get the same thing in the alley down the street for 2/3 the price. It's my biggest pet peeve seeing people buying into that BS.

奈良の鹿は可愛い顔をしてますが、さっさと鹿の餌をあげないと蹴ったりしてきます。お辞儀は見ていて可愛いですが一回くらいにしてすぐに餌をあげましょう。
あまり撫でたり触ると鹿も動物なので機嫌を損ねると怖いです。
あと、子鹿は触らないようにしましょう。共有までに。
鹿せんべいは人間が食べても害のないものです。米ぬかと小麦粉でできており添加物は入ってません。

I know the "ra" in "Nara" and "kyo" in "Kyōto" are hard to pronounce in Japanese, but please pronounce "mochi" correctly. An "o" in Japanese is always pronounced "oh" - so it's mohchi, not ʻmachi." I'm surprised you donʻt have it (or talk about it) in Canada.
