Istanbul is my favourite destination. The food is amazing and the key is to avoid "tourist" restaurants around attractions - just go deeper into the streets and see where you see all their local people sitting and eating, and just order there - you just cant fail! And TUrkish people are amazing hosts. I love their friendly culture, kindness and etiquette
as a Turk, this is a very accurate comment. Especially im so sad for those who come to Turkiye and leave without seeing real baklava. I can say that the baklava of the Güllüoğlu's is the best I have ever eaten. Everyone should eat from it. By the way, let me also point out that Istanbul is just the tip of the iceberg. If you research where local dish come from and go to those provinces, you may lose your mind because the taste of the food is so good.

Some kebab restaurants still do the way i describe so if you wanna try it, you should look from there and not the ones that you see on the street named as çiğ köfte stands.

@@MarkWiens wow cant wait! You are the best mark! May god bless you and your family! Im moroccan living in germany and i love watching your videos since you start your youtube channel. Have a nice day mark you are an amazing person
I love how you introduce all these foods with their original names and recipes with a lot of knowledge. Also the way you show respect to masters (which we call 'usta') is very polite. Thanks for the video, I enjoyed it though I m a local and used to go there so often.
As a Turkish man i love to see your turkish street food videos love you Mark !!
As a Turkish this is a %100 accurate food tour. The way he eat meals (exact every single detail) is very important. And the places he visited are among the best. Of course there should be 4-5 videos like this in order to truly show all the best dishes of Istanbul.
So glad for this video as we’re heading to Istanbul in two days. Thank you 🙏
I wish I had watched a food video when I went lol
Be carefull there. İstanbul is going to be a scam City. Watch out first for the prizes and calculate to your currency.
PS: You got the Same food Spots in İzmir at turkish Beauty Aegean sea. It's cheaper then İstanbul and u got more to Sightseeing, Ephesus, Pamukkale, Kuşadası, çeşme. Greetings from a Turk who lives in Germany.
Please be careful Istanbul is a scam city n ISIS terrorist headquarters are in Ankara thanks to that Islamist extremist Erdogan... 😂 n his Allies in Qatar. Hello from India 🇮🇳
Please be careful Istanbul is a scam city 😂. Hello from India
Nice to hear that, have an amazing trip to Istanbul!
AMONG THOSE WHO DO THIS JOB, YOU ARE THE MOST SINCERE, MOST NATURAL, MOST CUTE PERSON. ALWAYS COME TO TURKEY, WE LOVE YOU
Welcome to Türkiye🇹🇷
So very interesting, to see the history of Turkey's food varieties being displayed within this wonderful video.
The peoples of Turkey genetically, are primarily a mix of European, Middle Eastern, South & Central Asian & all of these ethnic admixtures & their historical roots & links to the Turkish peoples, is displayed in Turkey's wonderful & delicious cuisine.
Mark Wien's, always happy to try as much local food on offer & almost always, with a huge smile on his face!
Here I am on this cold rainy Saturday afternoon in South Africa 🇿🇦 and snacking on a packet of spicy sweet chilli chips and catching up on videos that I haven't yet watched and I came across this video released over an hour ago. Those of us who grew up on spicy foods, have stomachs of steel. Micah as well was eating spicy from a baby. Everything Mark is eating today, looks delicious and please eat a second helping on behalf of us 😋👌
Love and regards to Ying and Micah.
Glad you enjoy spicy food as well. Hope you have a great day even with the cold rainy weather!
no one is talking about cig kofte in the other istanbul vlogs , but damn it's the best street food i've ever tasted !
I will be eating it all like you in Istanbul this summer!🧳
Happy for you.
Nice to hear that!
@@MarkWiens Mark Wiens you need to explore Teheran again with Mr Taster, it is on my wishlist on places to see! 🗺
Mark, so glad to see you in Istanbul. My wife and I are headed there this fall to begin a 6-week trip which will take us to Albania, Croatia, Slovenia, & Portugal as well. Love your videos , keep traveling!
Frank from New Orleans
Every Year 4 Weeks in Türkiye and Istanbul only for Eating.🥰
Your guide is so good btw... he shows you the best food in the best places really... real Turkish stuff
Why is Turkey so underestimated by Europe? their history and country are really interesting and exciting
We live in a euro centric world where every other culture is not considered but treated as second or third class
Turkey > Europe
Because Turkey is a fascist dictatorship constantly threatening Europe and undermining human rights and democracy, killing and genociding Kurds and Armenians lol. learn some history.
Yes also their Turkish shows!
Their culture is awesome but they are thinking that neighboring countries are their enemies.
I love how nice all the chefs were. And the food looked amazing. Especially that cheese sandwich concoction from that food truck. It looked so good.😋
Right as released! Let’s enjoy another Mark Wiens Video together everyone 🤗 You know the day will be better with a new video released 😃
Very well made extended vlog Mark, glad you're back in Turkiye. Amazing smile. Wish you could stream the other parts of your travels but I understand the videos on it's own takes a lot of time. Cheers good luck
