Why do you use Ancient Parthan Defenders in your Roland's planner link? I don't see any skill or item in this build that provides a stun on your attacks. What am I missing?

Swift Knife : APDs can be proced by stun & freeze on hit affixes on gear. You can get 5% stun on gloves, 5% freeze on belt, 5% stun or freeze on weapon and 2.5% stun or freeze on shield.
Personally (I say that as the guy who made 105 with the build) I had stun chance on my shield to proc APDs. Not very reliable and you should be able to use strongarms or nemesis bracers instead. Condemn procs strongarms in case you're wondering.

Assuming this is a stupid question but uhh, where is the lightning dmg in the lightning wizard build? I don't see any lightning dmg and tested and the vyr's archon uses all runes bonus and it doesnt seem to stack lightning either when using combustion rune for the fire stack. would be really nice to have a way to keep the 4 stack of TR's after archon ends too but idk if thats possible.

@Scott Burgess People look forward to seeing if they can place higher in the Leaderboards than they did last season. The new cosmetic rewards along with another Stash tab. That's basically it, cosmetic things/stash tabs along with beating their personal best on the leaderboard.

As a blood lancer player currently, I'm just glad Blizzard has so many bigger issues to worry about with the exploits/visual bugs from patches/angry player base that balance is sort of low on the priority list. I'd say they'll either nerf or change the Traghoul's set in the gap between S11 and S12. Really well done video overall. My first time seeing one of these, and it's informative and very well presented. Got a new sub :).
Have you ever thought of making another "Team Build Tier List" I would be interested in knowing what the team meta is with the necromancer.
Yep, same here. I rarely play solo.
As almost every meta, its like 1 shitty op necro with unoptimalized, low roll non-ancients (why would you need them...?) and 3 supports. This whole system starts to get real boring. :(

Good video! Seeing the A tier witch doctor build inspired me to play a witch doctor for my season 11 character. I have altered the build slightly to better fit my play style, but this video definitely helped me out quite a bit.
Builds to use with Haedrig's Season 11 Gift Sets:

(B Tier) Demon Hunter- Unhallowed Essence **top DH set*

Not a lot of time/ playing HC you can't go wrong with Barb or Monk imo. They are good tanky builds that can speedfarm

Was the nerf to Inarius that bad? This was honestly the only build I wanted to play for the necromancer
As someone who used the build before and after the patch I would say the nerf was major, I wouldn't even say its worth going for anymore.
it was substantial enough to make it so you probably won't see it much on the leaderboards but not enough that you won't be able to do 70+
i went from gr90 to gr82 being tough. on tragouls, i equipped it and just went into a 92 for fun, and beat it.
It was a nerf to how Miranae worked that killed the set. Not the set itself i don't think. But yea, it was substantial. Went from GR87 to struggling to do GR75 (playing the same way)
got rid of 90% of its damage and 90% of its tankyness so yeah the bone storm is dead and gone vs the broken OP tragouls lance build

I'm super annoyed that the barb has been such an effin nerf ball. When is the mighty warrior class going to be a useful DPS machine again?!
So many sets on so many classes only really need minor tweaks to be equal to the rest, but it feels like they have 2 ppl left working on D3 and neither of them have a clue on how to balance anything across classes.
or they want to hold the barb down so there is no viable competition between supp barb (which makes high group rifts possible) and a dmg orientated barb. There are few barb players left, they dont want a rivalry in builds. just stay the metaslave is the motto.

I would love to see one of these for best builds for team grift levels. I know you mentioned in a few of the classes that they are good in teams but I would love to see the support builds highlighted since those obviously wont be pushing the highest greater rifts solo. Maybe what team or build synergies are good as well? Just an idea!

Guess you missed the part where he said he covered the honorable mentions first, just several of them.
And I guess 'you' missed the part where there were only 8 honorable mentions. So that's still 20 top 10 builds.
... It's because a lot of the builds are in joint places for different classes.
More bang for the buck.
For barb fans playing only barb this season I recommend the following. IK6WW with FnR, cubed SG and BK set for early game key farming. IK6 is a better WW set for early game, no hard rolls to look for. End game, its behind WOTW (but not by much) so switch to it eventually if you want to push solo leaderboard. Top clear with IK6WW atm is my rank 118 last era GR 90 (check leaderboard for build). Best GR 70 set for early game is MOTE. It scales the highest DPS for lowest paragons. Personally, I pass my GR 70 with MOTE, ditch it and use IK6 WW for speed farming keys/bounties. For speed build, use FC with WW, sprint, wreath of lighting/BotT&Taguk with STPS, and cust waist guard in cube. Great speed farmer and lots of fun. Cheers CC123

I'm assuming by Innas he is referring to the monk. Basically it's the Innas EP without the EP stuff and just spamming cyclone strike mystic ally abilities.

Tragoul corpse lance build is cancer to play. I hate they nerfed the other set into the ground
neoturk nope I agree, not fun to play, and is pointless outside GR pushing...sigh
neoturk nope Use a corpse explosion variant without simulacrum, it's much more fun but much less powerful for GR. IMO it's only a matter of time before this variant becomes more viable than inarius for gr. I'm missing a couple key pieces, have relatively low paragon (770) and have zero augments on my gear (only a few ancients altogether) and I'm getting GR65 clears. The ess of Johan on a follower paired with the aoe of corpse explosion synergizes really well, and makes the 5x stack of the explosion gauntlets very easy to get. That's the 3300% boost from tragoul plus the 500% bonus from the gauntlets. I think the hardest part is deciding on what rings you need since krysbin is a given and you need a ring of royal grandeur to get the 6pc bonus and have Aquila s cuirass (cube) and the gauntlets. I think unity is likely the best bet for GR.
Try it out and let me know if you think you can improve it.
Cursed scythe, decrepify, land of the dead, corpse explosion, devour, and blood rush. Alternatively you don't actually need the scythe basic skill, so consider swapping flesh golem for the scythe, which will let you get your max CE stacks faster as well as giving you more burst dps for bosses and elites (since rift guardian is tougher without corpse lance). If you save your land of the dead for the boss and also use flesh golem you will likely not have an issue with them

Well there is a reason why necromancer in now best class for pushing greater rifts, money. Best way to boost necro pack sales is by putting it as best class in the game. When blizz takes enough money from necromancer pack they will start nerfing it like all other class.
if that was 100% TRUE, they would have not have nerfed the inarius set though. so maybe your statement is 75% true.

I'm sure the trag corpse lance build will see a nerf soon. Even blizzard said they don't enjoy builds like this and they know people don't enjoy playing builds like this. Just because this one build is currently the top, doesn't mean blizzard is doing it for money. There were a lot of unexpected bugs and things that they didn't find in testing. They don't have a massive amount of people internally testing diablo 3 anymore. It's an older game and we should be thankful that we are still getting updates to it. They spent a full year making the necro and it was only 15 bucks. The amount of time you get out of the necromancer, versus anything else, absolutely makes it worth while for price to performance. You could go out and see 2 movies for 4 hours, or you could easily get 40+ hours of necromancer fun. Instead of looking at everything so cynical, try to enjoy it once in awhile.
TBH i read that the devs don't make up builds but take everything in place eventually not knowing what they do and let the players figure out the best and most optimal builds. i actually think that the strength of the necro and the high survivability and dmg doesn't come from them wanting to boost sales but to not take the risk of making a class too weak that people spent money for. they will adjust the necro in the future

Thank you for summary. This will help a lot in next season. By the way, does anyone notices that the Rathma Singularity build skills that show on the side don't the same as the game play shows in the middle.
Boring that they nerfed the bonestorm, looked like a lot of fun and was looking forward to playing it, but with the nerf to the gem interaction it just seems like a waste of time. And the Trag'oul build just looks like a snooze fest, run around for 30 secs before you kill anything.
Bonestorm is still fun to play imho, but seeing as I never really compete on the ladder I will assume that I can't be in the same state of mind about these things as people who do. That being said, for the casual player all the sets should be viable, tho I would steer clear of plaguemasters :)
Ironic that you say its boring when in fact the inarius bonestorm build had to be one of the most boring builds in existence and I'm glad they shredded it. You literally do nothing you just let your gems do all your damage.

Nope, in higher rift the most of the damage are from Lance and Scythe. Mirinae do a lot damage too but not the random oneshot like 60-75.
But losing it still hurt in both damage and probably even more with the survivalability.
So you've cleared GR 100 then? Cause that's what bonestorm can do according to this tier list. Which means it can probably go higher with enough investment. Specially on a 1 month old class.

if youre talking about solo grifts then every class should have its 1 build in S tier. Since in no way should you be comparing a WD to a Necro when the topic is SOLO. You play whatever class you want, and from there you can judge how builds compare to other builds of that class.
The point is that some classes simply out perform other classes in solo play. The top necro's out there are much higher than any other class currently. There will always be 1 class and 1 spec that has the absolute highest GR. They can't balance everything PERFECTLY, nor would it be fun if they did.
i know that, but no one ever compares 2 different classes in terms of their solo grift progression. The top WD build should be its own S tier as it will reach Rank 1 for WDs

DreamR x because they are directly comparable? Greater rift 100 is the same for every class. And same classes have a massively easier time reaching high GR levels. The point of a tier list is to show people the strongest build in the meta.
thats like letting all different class of cars race each other at the drag strip. Yes they are all going for the same thing (time) but theres a reason the classes are there.
Thanks once again for another very informative video. I've not played DIII for a couple years now, so I'm reALLY behind the power curve. I've been looking for what builds/gear I need now. Same drops of what I currently own are far different stats. This video gives me a direction to go in, so thanks. I have little to no advice or direction in the game now. Trao'Oul's Necro is just SO boring to play.. run around, wait for cooldowns, burst elites, run around, wait for cooldowns... rinse and repeat...

Hands down the most welldesigned class imho, it really feels like you are controlling unlimited dangerous RAW POWER :P That being said haven't played wizard since season 7 because it was all I did play up until that point ^^ I bet you won't be disappointed if you give it a go :P

He's not playing D3 anymore because it's not financially viable and switched to WoW. Has more views than ever before I'm pretty sure. It's just how it is.
Which left some of his former D3 viewers a bit.. salty.
He's not playing D3 because there wasn't anything new and it was just the same old same old from the previous season. Quin has been playing WoW for years. And since he wasn't playing D3 he decided to play WoW hardcore again. Financial viability was a secondary consideration. Cause lord knows he's played plenty of games that weren't financially viable for him (he actually lost money during the whole Pokemon Go timeframe).
And more importantly, he's having fun and enjoying himself.

Why? Necro gets Rathma for its free set and rathma is easily capable of farming for itself.

I already found a slightly changed way to do leapquake. Use the ring that gives you damage reduction after casting leap and use travelers and compass. Can push further

I've been strictly following your guide for the Bonestorm build on the Necromancer. Currently I am farming the Trag'Oul's pieces for the set and go with that Bloodstorm build.
What I noticed yesterday when my game updated was that I no longer have the stacks on the Bone Armor skill. You have any idea why is that? Is it normal? In your video I saw that you're gaining stacks on the Bone Armor. Thank you for your or anyone else reply! Live long and prosper!

Problem: For the WW barb, you don't want to use ground stomp. It looks enticing with strongarms but stomp takes you out of WW for a solid half second. You'll lose your damage reduction and getting hit by anything in that half second at GR70+ is instant death. Personally I prefer threatening shout with falter.

I just noticed at 11:18 for the Roland Sweepsader, it shows necro skills onscreen.
I don't know who I want to run with primarily this season. lightening wizard, monk, maybe lon witch doctor, but I may have ran that last season, I can't remember.

Can you do some more videos on groups? I love your videos and trust your opinion but I only play in groups I don't play solo at all. Things like strategies, best supports, best AOE damage and single damage.
I'm gonna revisit the Wizard's Tal Rasha build this time, haven't done it since the season that used Serpent Sparker Orb

Great review! Still no love (or fixes) for Shield bash form Blizzard HQ. at least Roland's is easy to get this season.... just in time to almost get the set from drops before I earned the set 😂. Still fun to play, I just wish the bash, bash/glare bugs would be fixed, and that CoE would work other than for fire.

Awesome stuff, wish there was more crusader stuff, since I only played barb and sader.. and sad that barbs have fallen from grace.
I realize this is incredibly tangential, but as an avid D&D gamer as well as a Diablo player, I was wondering if Rhykker has ever had an idea for how to build a Witch Doctor PC using 5th Edition classes, or at least covered it in another video. I just recently got to thinking about how every class can be mapped easily to another existing D&D class, with one exception.
Roland's crusader is my jam. I had way more fun playing that build than hammerdin last season. Looking forward to playing again this season :)
Rhykker can you do a video on best farming builds? I don't really push grifts with the big boys. I just like being able to clear an 80 and t13 I like to be able to split farm easily
I love the corpse lance build, didn't bother trying the other necromancer builds.
First they destroy our Mount Arreat, now they destroy our power. RIP tier for my beloved Barbarian :c

It's a build that's reliant on CDR, but if you got that CDR it's quite enjoyable yes :) Also works great against most riftguardians
Played lightning archon in hc last 2 seasons was a lot of fun you cant go wrong.

Rhykker, which build is the easiest and most fun to play? I mean even F tier builds can run thru the whole season... I guess though, that a huge number of players will start with the Necro and that 115 you mention... with 4 of those chars... I look fwd to seeing the group leads :)
I'm feeling the Witch Doctor this next season, I haven't done a season with the HellTooth and after hearing from BigDaddyDen that the Spirit Barrage LoN build was a thing again I really want to work toward that.
Thank you for this and all your videos. I'm having hard time with my wizard as i cant find the rest of my set to complete what i can i reached gr 42 solo and still cant find the rest of firebirds set :( any tips ? so i'm thinking of switching to necromancer
Ok the only thing i have to say is yes with miranie not being bonestorm build it hurt it but you can substitue for wreath lightning for crowd control help i have done it with the bonestorm build and im pushing gr 95 right now. Yes my gear is completely optimized and yes i went through alot of grinding to get it there but i got it still to push it . I love this builds playstyle because its almost like a tank necro and i its one that fits my playstyle . The only trouble that may confront me is when its at the end with rift guardians but with land of dead propping at the right time you can still do it .
Looooove love love love the tragoul corpse lance necro. With numlocking its such a relaxing powertrip to play.

Whats the best necromancer build for groups as i play with a grenade hunter and a hydra lighting wizard on my team
Isn't Whirlwind Barb suppossed to be Wrath of the Wastes/Whirlwind? It would make sense, as it seems to fit together like a puzzle. I tried some miss-matched whirlwind abilities with Bull-Kathos weapon set, and I could'nt get too far. Now, that I understand how the armor seems to work, (like a puzzle) I see promise in Reakors' Charge, but I'm getting other character's ready using Reakors set. Once I spend more time with that build, I hope to bring it to higher Greater Rifts.
Of the Necromancer builds, I think the Thorns Pet build is the most appealing simply because it's not completely reliant on Land of the Dead
UE Grenadier seems intresting.
Never really played a grenade build on DH before.
And no matter what i make in the start. I always play DH by the time i feel finished with a season.
I have barely ever play WD or Wizard. So might try a lightning build wizard for once.
Or i will just spin around as a barb... That's always fun, you don't need alot of focus for it.
