well done, sir
Yes!!
"BOUND BY BONE!!!" - Lord Marrowgar
Thanks for sticking to D3 and still making such guides :)
Darude - Bonestorm
Good one
Inarius - BoneStorm
Trag'oul - BloodStorm
What's the weather looking like today? Cloudy with a chance of... BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONESTOOOOOOOOOORM!!!
Ahhh when he started going over paragons at the end I just thought to myself that it's so nice to be lvl 800 :D
This guy makes some of the best youtube videos i swear......
Too bad he expects us to have 2k paragon
He only has 942 in the video lol
How does he expect you to have 2k paragon? He is under 1k in this video, and he even tells you how to prioritize your paragon points......?
Did he clear 107? No.
Sinera it's what people have achieved and what you CAN achieve if you play enough. build still works fine for >300 paragon, just like any other build.
It was my first build by virtue of getting all the set pieces first, even though I was hoping to get Rathma, because traditionally Necro = minion army. Thanks for the guide!
Hi Rhykker congratz for this really good build video, I hope the nerf will not be dramatic because you really gave me the envy of playing it. Thanks again for your amazing guides !
Great analysis of the Necromancer build. I really enjoy all your videos. :)
I'd love to see variations on these new Necromancer builds, especially for Hardcore.
Love it, and keep these videos going. This build has me hooked back onto D3 :). Love your videos. I hope nerf doesnt take it away. Those smites are just amazing. Makes me want to keep playing.
Great guide! Using the season armor from Rathma to work toward this set.
This is awesome. A shame the devs have failed their loyal playerbase like this guy.
I want a buff on the pestilence build
i have 5 ancients parts for pestilence , one primal and the primal weapon. i am god when pestilence will ever become meta^^
It honestly just needs some better items like bracers to help us take reduce damage and what not. My build is very powerful atm I can do just about gr 75 with bone spear atm. After that its a bust..I just get one shotted against ranged.
pestilence has a lot of potential but right now surviving is just impossible past 80, i have a 2K paragon with all ancients pestilence best weapons rings etc and at 80 + it becomes a pain, such a shame, this build needs skills, placement, very good resource management (if not you just instantly die) so it's a great challlenging build but a few things have to be changed
My first hardcore death was with the pestilence set. Bonestorm is heaps more survivable and tragul has insane dmg but horrible to play hardcore, rathma is all round good too.
trang'oul actually has most of the top slots in hardcore seasonal using a corpse lance build, also possible to push over gr 105 with thorns revive minions using trang'oul.
These videos are awesome, returning player and these videos keep me in the loop lol.
This is super powerfull. This set just help me burst through from T7 to T11 in few hours
been playing d3 for a long time and thinks is the build I enjoyed the most.
I was literally waiting for ryker to make another bone storm video
i stopped plauing d3 in season 4 i believe. Came back to check necro and wow this is so fun. currently playing this build and cleared gr 85 solo with only 810 para level where on my main barb two years ago i think I only clreared max 74. this is insane ! but in a good way , hope they wont nerf it too much and too soon, great vid Pal
Blizzard needs to look at the leaderboard players before nerfing. They have to keep in mind that people are playing with non-seasonal specs, so the top players have over 3000 Paragon points and some really high gems. I am right at GR82 with Paragon 1340s, with lvl 80-90 gems, and only half my armor is ancient, and 2 pieces have been augmented. This GR lvl seems pretty consistent to other classes' best builds with similar specs. I was right around this on the Wizard with less paragon points, so I see no need to nerf the build. What they need to do is buff the other builds to make them more viable prior to season 11!!!
I have noticed this build really struggles against elites with the Juggernaut affix, since you're unable to slow or stun them which are the two primary ways to buff our damage. I usually just skip them.
I am pretty sure that skipping Juggernauts is correct for all Necromancer builds, as you never get Krysbin's bonus damage on it...
I've only played around with the Inarius set, so I wouldn't know how the other builds work out.
I played with each of them a bit - you can reach GR 70 with each (so all of them are Season-viable), but if you use Krysbin's (and why wouldn't you? It gives you more damage than any other ring available to Necro) you'll struggle with Juggernauts. In GR 70 it's not as noticable in case of stronger builds (Inarius, Rathma, pet Trag'Oul), but for example Pestilence struggles against Juggernauts so much that you probably should always skip them.
Thanks for the video Rhykker. I understand the theory behind the build better now. :)
I don't know if this particular build is considered out of date, but I still run GRs very fluid with it. Its a definite keeper!
one tiny minor improvement to the video would be to 12:30 show those numbers listed, as you would when you are taking notes in math class, you feel me ?
You do an excellent job explaining, but when talking about percentages and damages increases like that, I would deem it help full to have it visuallised with a couple of lines of text
I swear you r the best diablo TH-camr
Rhykker I love the Bomestorm build I admit even the Nerf I'm still have alot of fun with this build keep it up
Been waiting for this video! Thanks so much Rhykker!
Whenever I use Land of the dead : Frozen, I scream "Za Warudo!"
Why using Reilena's Shadow Hook (equipment) and Trag'Oul's Corroded Fang (Kanai power), instead of equipping Trag'Oul's Corroded Fang + Lost Time, and Reilena's Shadow Hook in Kanai cube?
I love the Bonestorm builds. Though I've been running the Aura Frailty curse just to make things easy on myself. I keep the belt up with Scythe swings easy enough. Though I do get chewed up a bit in higher Grifts, so I'll probably try out this set up and see how it feels.
Not having even a single ancient piece yet probably doesn't help.
I really enjoy this build, but was hoping Rathma's would be the go to set for Necro. As its the free set in Season 11, will you be giving us an updated overview for it? And besides the nerf to Inarius, are there any buffs in the works for the other sets?
Blizzard's approach to game balance: Nerf the gem that's only useful in a specific build due to some cool interactions because it's not "working as intended", instead of the one that every single build uses because it's too strong not to use. Okay...
Nothing new... i mean look at the difference in effectiveness between all gems and sets in this game, and then consider how garbage LoN is in most cases on most classes. They don't give a flying crap and they never truly have. They know what people want (as evident when they added LoN) but they don't want to put the work forward to making it viable. What boggles my mind is that they wont even attempt to balance items they left in the dust due to power creeping...
For Blizzard, "Working as intended" means you are playing the way THEY WANT YOU TO PLAY. Fuck that. If the leader boards of one class does not have equal status with the rest, then fix that class!
I want to see rabid competition between every class for the highest clear of the GR levels. As it is now, I suspect that will never happen.
they didn't nerf the gem itself, they nerfed the proc rate of the bone storm so it wouldn't spam the gem so much. It's unfortunate since bone storm now almost never procs the gem, have to use your skills to make it go off, still works pretty well though. Starting to think however that wreathe of lightning might be better, corpse lance does some great work on single targets and wreath of lightning offers somewhat similar damage at a slightly lower proc rate but in an AoE.
Hey Rhykker, just returned to Diablo since a little after the release of the Kanai cube. Really digging leveling with the Necro, and was hoping you'll release guides on other builds with the Necro, specifically one that utilizes minions/pets as I've found it the most enjoyable!
Also, what skills did you use while leveling?
This. Is. Rhykker. Doing. My. Best. William. Shatner. Impersonation. Every. Sentence. Of. Every. Video. Coming. At. You. With. A. Super. Serious. Tone. In. A. Super. Serious. Way.
Just messin. Always love the good builds. Thanks for putting these things together and explaining them for a not-so-good D3 player like me.
Hopefully you do a Blood Lancer build video soon!
this I what I'm building this season. love it
Yet ANOTHER great video! Thanks Rhykker.
So glad i decided to go outbof my comfort zone this season. Such a fun build so far. Also ty for this video. While fun i still dont get it. I do now.
So Is it only viable with Inarius set because of "tornado of bone"?
Thank you Rhykker I was waiting for this, cheers :)
Bonestorm is super powerful, yes, but they shouldn't nerf it and instead buff the other sets.
theyre not nerfing the set its basically to the gem only which works best with this set
so that gem will go back into the chest then. the gym isn't overpowered.
The way it was said it seems more that it's a bug and not an actual nerf, though it will end up nerfing it I don't think (or at least hope) it will be so damning that you can't use it anymore.
no, they are nerfing how often the storm from this set can proc that gem, not the gem itself. So it is a nerf directed to the set
Morgan Larson less proc, wouldn't that require them to increase the time between damage and therefor decrease DPS?
Thanks man. I like this build and was what I was doing already for the most part. How viable is this on Console vs PC though? the exact same?
Awesome guide Rhykker! Keep it up man👍🏻😁
Hey Rhykker, can you please do a blood necromancer and show how much fun they can be
FYI the Reilena's Shadowhook ability only increases damage from paragon points put in to Maximum Essence, giving you a 25% damage boost when you max it out. Increasing your essence through other means does not give you a damage boost from this item.
Source? I am almost certain this is incorrect.
gonna play this build in HC cant wait, will use the acul chest sins its HC
thx man< great guid as always
Love the build! Thanks for the video!
A bit confused...
I have Traveller's Pledge and Compass Rose equipped. So that means I must (MUST) use Wisdom of Kalan as my cube jewelry power.
Which leaves one ring slot.
Taking Unity completely eviscerates this build, and you lose Krysbin's Sentence.
So, the whole build is built around slowing and stunning and freezing enemies.
Which means Krysbin's is MANDATORY.
(Solo and two player co-OP)
Please let me know what I'm missing!
I don't think the wording on shadowhook means you get the damage bonus for your original 200 essence points. It specifically says maximum essence points. 100% extra damage from the get go seems pretty op
Rhykker thank you for the build I'm live the build even if it's nerfed
i have an interesting necro support build and honestly it does work.
I like this build a lot but what do you think about substituting skeletal mages for bone armor? I found that with Grim Scythe you can build up essence quickly in mobs, and drop skeletal mages. Then you use to decrypify-borrowed time only for it’s passive rune. Use trag’ouls scythe to curse everything with Grim scythe?
Love Bone storm build and these vids.
Hay Bro Could you Please put Out an Updated Video Post Nerf, I still love to play with this build and have pushed a 90+ with it, I don't want to stop playing with it because of the Nerf so I am going to try and Keep it Real with this build and hope that maybe Blizzard will buff the Bone Armor Damage at some point so this build will be viable again, I appreciate it Bro, your videos are the best please keep them coming!
I would really like to see trag oul blood nova/corpse explosion build. I really like that set but no good builds yet :(
im playing this build or the last one u posted on xbox. ive been grinding like crazy for the armor but got all pieces except for boots.
I miss this so much
Can you do a video the Pet Build set? Honestly it's my favorite playstyle with the Necro but as of right now it might hit 85 solo at best.
Rhykker, I have to disagree with the priority of the defense paragon points.
If you reset the defense points, then add just one point to the top 3, then per point Resist All gives you a greater increase in overall toughness over the other two per point.
Per point, the increases in toughness are Resist All, Armor, then Life.
Also, do you have any hardcore guides lying around? If not, can you suggest anyone that does?
This build gives a lot of % health as lifesteal from leech and mirinae's. That is likely why he prioritizes life. Then prioritizing armor second because the stand alone passive buffs it by 100%, as does the blood rush rune. Also, intelligence gives a bunch of all resist already
Great Video and build guide!!!
also: I doubt the unity ring -i went 91 and didn't die once with Krisbins ring - and few of my 85+rifts incurred dying.. What i do when entering a rift is land of the dead immediately to stop damage, then trigger bone armour to get the stacks - as this build is at its most vulnerable at the start of the rift
This is what I've learned to start doing. The few times I've died, even on lower rifts just screwing around, it's right at the beginning before I can get the bone armor stacks up.
Thanks for the build it rocks.
I have been tinkering with this build. It's a great one btw, but I found a workaround with the essence generation. Trade out grim scythe for devour, devouring aura. Only use corpse lance under the effect of land of the dead. Using this will get you unlimited decrepifies. I've been using the build this way all night. Take it how you will. Just thought I would put my opinion out there.
It is a land of the dead/corpse lance build. Bone storm is just a support skill.
are you going to make a tier list before new season?
Any news on The pestilence set? Are there gonna be Any viable builds and videos Rhykker?
I like the poison spear build
it utilizes poisonous spears
crits for 100kkk
can barely do gr 55
This build is very good and I'm already seeing that i'm very hard to kill. But compared to other builds when I go into a public Rift or GR, I feel myself dealing almost no relevant damage. Especially compared to Monks and Wizards.
BTW if we need more attack speed for the Mirinae, wouldn't it better to set the Shadowhook into the cube and use the Trag'Oul's Fang in your had with a shield or any Off-Hand? 1H weapons have higher attack speed.
Rhykker when can we expect your other updated builds?
I was running this build but was missing a couple of pieces of gear. Wasn't happy with the damage and switched decrepify out for frailty(AOF). This seemed to do more damage and made it much easier to clear rifts. Do you think that this change will remain viable pushing into higher rifts?
Hey Rhykker, I saw an elite monster with your name on Xbox 1 version, new areas they added
Hey Rhykker, any chance you could do an updated Tal Rasha (without archon) build?
Now that they added the endless walk counters, i notice you have to pretty much stand in one spot for like 4 seconds or more to get the 100% damage. Starting to agree with others that there are better choices than pledge and rose. Thoughts?
I've really enjoyed all of the necromancer sets and I hope they do change a few things here and there to bring some of em more in line with this one. Yeah not every set can be perfectly balanced with one another but going from the rathmas set which I love to this set makes rathmas seem pointless as you have to do less work with inarius and you deal more consistent damage.
@Rhykker was make a petilence build with devouring aura and land of the dead as the core, then using grim scythe (trag'oul's cubed) and bone spear. was wondering what legendary gem you might recommend.
Could you please put in a rotation use please? Its kinda funky and im not sure how this is supposed to play.
Can u make a new remake of this build for s25
Agreed, it's now season 26 and I haven't played in a few years but can't find anything on if this build is still viable or a thing.
please do a tragouls build next. as that is the one i am having huge issues with. Cant make any build for tragoul that is viable.
all other sets builds that i have tried out make sense and work but Tragoul I cant do shit with it.
so will your next video be about Tragoul? any tips in the mean time?
would love to see other builds which people mentioned. there is so much stuff on diablo fans it is kind of confusing.
if they lower the trigger rate or fix it. i think the gem will disappear.
people mentioning tragouls but i cant find a good build for it.
Hey Rhykker. Build question. Relinas in the cube doesn't add as much dps as cycle and that part of the build with overwhelming essence wastes a passive slot. Why not cycle in the cube and overwhelming essence subbed out for draw life for durability
Hi Rhykker i was wondering if your ok with discussing a build i have in mind for my bonestorm build but since your a pro build maker i want your opinion on it before i made it an official build.
What do you think of the Serration passive and changing it to crit chance instead of damage?
So lets say the worst happens and Mirinae gets buffed to the point to where it is not longer useful. Does that render the build null and void? If not, then what would be the next best gem? Im really interested in this build but i want to be prepared for when the changes come.
Thanks for the video its great!
if they nerf this without buffing the other 2 worthless sets people are going to be pissed
Mhm, who would think they will buff the shit of the set to 3,7k dmg mhmmmmm
Why not equip the Corroded Fang and cube the Shadowhook?
I'm guessing that having a phylactery effect doesn't make up for the damage lost from not having increased max essence. I'm also assuming Shadowhook is the only means from those weapons to increase max essence.
Question with the Traveller's pledge set. Would it be more, less, or about equal, if you were to run the johnstone amulet which buffs corpse lance damage for every corpse consumed in land of the dead, (max roll 200%, so it builds up a count, and that's the number of lances outside of land of the dead that will get the bonus damage)
thus also freeing up multiple jewelry options in terms of rings & cube slot.
I'm assuming we'll lose damage on the bone armor itself, but I'm wondering how it all balances out overall.
I love this build
But i want to change it a bit.
still can´t decide if I should use Reilena´s shadowhook or the corroded Fangin combination with Lost Time.
I wanna go fast but I think the dmg is much lower =/
i can't understand why he use 2 handed weapon in heroe and 1 h in cube ? -1 slot offhan can use
What level GR were you doing in the video? Because it looked like you were hardly doing any damage at all.
Rhykker a little confusion here with everything you have put out on this. How can you consume a corpse without Devour? This hurts the effect of the Corpse whisper pauldrons? Please clarify the final build for this necromancer. I definitely like the idea of combining these skills. Thanks
So, is merinae still the top choice? If not, what's the best replacement?
On the essence stacking description at the end, is that basically just a really confusing way of saying it suffers from diminishing returns?
A video about the new Targ'oul's build , i think he is better than Inarius now
hmmm you know what?
This reminds me so much of the control wizard from the past lol was wondering when they were gonna bring freezlock back lol
This is Rhykkeeeeerrrrrrrrurururururrrrr
Do you have an updated build for this after the mirinae nerf? I'm struggling to get the 75 solo done, trying to do it around a build very similar to this.
New to Diablo 3. How are you this high of a level already but it just came out this week? o.O sorry if this is a silly question. Awesome videos man :)
TheCatatonicAngel paragon levels are same for all your characters
i am currently running with Tragoul Scythe and Legers Disdain and cubed the other Scythe
Rhyker, have you tried corpse explosion & the +500% to corpse explosion gloves with this build? (even with your exact build I only make GR 75, with a very similar one I hit 73 - makes me wonder what a good player could do with it)
