i bought a 2008 BMW 550i 362 HP v8 and the mechanic who sold me it ripped me off but I got refunded money for parts and smog so it was all worth it. There was a massive coolant leak and he said bring it back “so my guys could look at it” but I didn’t even want them touching it after the shitty condition and work they did. I did everything myself and fixed this beast.

Never give up my friend. I went through the same frustration as you. It’s not BMW fault it’s the owners before us who neglected the Maintenance. Once we get through that we are on top bro 🔝 greats cars. Bavarain Beast 💯 keep me posted when yours is back from the shop and the video is live 💯

oh and i just test drove an m5 today and trust me the 550i is ALOT BETTER in every way. there is a 3 second delay in shifting with the smg that is horrid , it gets 11 mpg. the only good thing is it sounds good. during the 15 minute test drive the check engine light came on a shift with 4500 rpm very sensitive and un reliable car... i will never buy the e60 m5 unless its a manual trans DONT BUY THE BLUE m5 pretty. you think the 550i was expensive the m5 will bankrupt you. what a horrid design who wants a 500 HP car with a 2-3 second delay and jerk during up shifts and they ALL DO THAT WITH THE SMG. our 550i shift like butter and no delay compared

@@startingtech3900 That’s so crazy you say that! I’ve been researching the M5, and I’m getting PRETTY much the same things you’re saying! I think I’m going to pass on the blue one. However, IF I get it, I plan on flipping it, right away! Because I can get it for a steal!

@@PrettyRuff that’s the only way it would work. What price range are you talking? Also even just buying it to selling. I would advise against buying one that was just sitting At the shop unused and undriven. The car has so much crazy electronics and is so sensitive with voltage so if it sat for a while even you buying it , it may have problems and cost you thousands. A quick flip turns into losing hard. The guy I visited today supposedly bought it for 17,000$ and he can’t sell it for 12,000$ it’s been up for almost A month, everyone who looked has walked away. And both bumpers were shot needed a repaint. The paint had huge scratches, spiderwebbing everywhere. Be very careful P would hate to see you loose money big bro 😎💰

Man I love 08-10 550i m sport but I don’t know anything abought mechanic work hands on and certainly don’t wanna waist a lot of money on a mechanic, you could never trust any mechanic unless you know them personally I’m 17 n i don’t really no any mechanics like that but if I knew how to do all this stuff I’d buy a 550i n restore it too.

This car is NOT good for you if you cannot do your own service or work on your car on your own unless you are wealthy and can afford the service costs. Just being honest my friend. Look how much service I had to do to make it reliable. This would have been 3-5000$ at the dealer. Good luck tho my friend 👍

Great job on the paint correction and ceramic coating. I just picked up a 2010 550i Alpine White a few months back here in Florida and I love it. I am leaking oil though and not looking forward to diagnosing from where.

Bought an 07 sport brand new but when the facelift came out with the M5 style kit I had to get it so I traded my problem free throughout whole 78k mile 07 for a 22k mile plus cash for an 08 in like 2010 and I miss them both but I also miss both of my e39 540s I had before and had a 07 e90 335i. Right now I daily a new Lexus ES350 and have a Stage 2 tuned 2011 X6 50i as my weekend car lol
