Hello and welcome to Saabkyle04! TH-cam's largest collection of automotive variety! In today's video, we'll take an up close and personal, in depth look at the 2008 BMW 550i Sport.
During this presentation, we will take a 1st person look at what the vehicle is all about beginning with the start up, performance data, fuel economy, the occasional track data, and build quality. Also, I will teach you how to use most of the interior and exterior features in a detailed fashion, that before, you could only get from going to a dealership yourself! Throughout the video, I will highlight key styling and unique differences about the vehicle, any available options, and of course it would not be an enthusiast car video without the good ole engine portion with rev and exhaust note with interior and exterior perspectives. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.

I have to say, I used to think this car was incredibly ugly. But the design has grown on me, now I like it!

I love it
I love how exotic the exhaust sounds. At the same time, you can tell it’s a BMW just from the way the exhaust sounds. Refined, but with some slight aggression. Sounds similar to E39 M5.
I own 4 BMW's. .. two X5's, 530i and a 328i convertible. . . each one has the same BMW feel on the road, even the SUV, amazingly, the X5 with my first V8 engine is one of my most favorite to drive. I have never had a V8 in a BMW and I would highly recommend it. It is actually pretty easy on gas unless you get on it, but getting on it is a blast so its hard not to really take off in that X5. When i go to look for another sedan 5 series I will be looking for a V8 under the hood as I am now completely sold on the V8 engine in a BMW! My mechanic is not too thrilled and told me not to buy it. . . his only reason is that there is so much engine under the hood it is difficult for him to work on it! It is super sweet and I am not sure of the stats on it but I am guessing it will do zero to 60 as fast as most cars do! Yes, its that fast!

the wheels are stunning
and just a heads up for you 5 series buyers, buy 08 -10 they have the face lift head lamps , up-graded door panels and Idrives and stiffer suspention along with the up-dated shifter, stay away from 04-05 545i they are nothing but problems 06-07 improved all problems, 08-10 more bang for a few thousand more but problem free!!

+crazystang69 s Man, I read and also heard that BMW purposefully down rated actual power output of these cars. I raced a 420hp/420tq dodge challanger and beat the shit out of it by solid 3-4 cars. Not bad for a car that has 80hp/80tq less and is also a four door sedan!

+ACU Ballistics Yeah these cars are breed for the Autobahn n Germany. Where 150 mph is nothing the 550i tuned can do much more ungoverned BMW specialist tuner.

Just bought a used 550i msport for $6k to save miles on my Polestar and fix up for my son when he's old enough to drive. Needs a couple oil leaks fixed but such a great car...

very nice video...thanks! bought one this past weekend and don't know yet how all of the gadgets work so your video helped a lot. I'd like to point out, this car feels almost as fast as my 2007 Z51 Corvette - I have a feeling this car will beat a vette from 70mph to 140mph.

I have the same year car but loaded and i also have the 6 speed manual. The M-Sport package makes the car look so much better or the non M-Sport.

My complete & ideal dream car: a prestine E60 550 with a glorious V8; altgough preferably a 550xi with a manual gearbox is even more ideal of a match.

Best 5 series in my opinion,I like the E39 and the F10 but nothing compares to the look of sportiness and aggressiveness.

I've got a 09' 525i and it's got the sports package steering wheel, as shown in this video. The car is not with the sports package though, I've always been confused as to how the wheel got there. Were they in some regular stock models as well or did someone else install it later on?

+Club Bmw Amg Sorry, but you are incorrect. The second half of the 2008 550s with the sport package received the M-tech body kit that this one has, which is almost identical to the M5 like you said. I know this because I bought and ordered one identical to this in 2008, with these wheels and bumpers
My next car shall be 2008 bmw 5 serie im driving a 2006 volvo s60 atm , i have never own a beemer but 2008 did they come whit new gearbox? is it anything i need to think about bmw before i buy one?

Hey Kyle, As much as I love cars, I don"t think I would have lasted ten minutes in the long horn state heat.. When you where doing the Mini Cooper, I think I seen the temp saying it was in the 90.. Wow.. and Thanks
