Just bottled my black currant wine. Made it with 15 black currant tea bags and some black currants. Only got a few as it’s a very young plant. It tastes very sweet with the alcoholic kick you would expect. It took 2 months. 10%. I’ve stared with some blackberries now we collected two big ice cream boxes full. We only used one of them and 10 red berry tea bags. (Strawberry raspberry blackberry leaves and cranberry). It tastes beautiful and is bubbling away nicely wit nice froth on top.

I’ let you know about my blackberry wine. Made the Wilkes Sweet Newky Brown. It is really good, much better than the Brewmaker Northumberland Brown Ale kit which is a good one as it is. Tried a Newcastle Brown in a pub recently and it wasn’t as good as the Wilkos version. I think it because of it being brewed in Tadcaster now.
I bought a an of Coke recently it had been imported from Denmark and made by Heineken under license.

Thanks for that Les. I have a Boyes in my town and get my yeast etc thee but haven’t looked at the kits recently. Too busy with homebrew from fruits. Apple cider next on my list.

Sounds nice. I don’t drink it wine much but I like making and watching it brew I love trying a bit when I first bottle it. I drink cider and beer and that wilko s Sweet Newky and the Brewmaker Northumberland Brown Ale is the easiest. I’ve never tried a kit for cidebut when I used apples last time I put too much citric acid and and couldn’t drink it. I have some friends with apple trees so i’m going to find some goo windfalls and juice them and make a nice batch.
