This was such a special treat to see Nonno in his element doing something that he was taught by his elders so many years ago. Something very beautiful about the process of making wine in the old fashioned diy way. Thanks so much for sharing this and all of the wonderful, fascinating content your channel puts out. I can't get enough of Nonno, Nonna and their beautiful family ❤ Im so grateful to all of the amazing Italian Canadians who chose to call this part of the world home. The amount of culture they brought here is incredible.

I love Nonno. I think it’s so amazing that you’re documenting it all so you can pass it on to your family and ours. My dad‘s been gone for decades and I wish I had a video of him making his meatballs and homemade sauce. 😢 but I have your spicy Nonna in the amazing Nonno! Thank you so much for that. Girl with dogs two keep promoting them otherwise I never would’ve found your grandparents
I truly enjoy watching these videos so much! His energy and drive to do things homemade is amazing! He is such an interesting person. It just makes your soul feel a little better to know there are still good people out there. Also, everyone loves a silver fox 🤣🤣🤣
Talk about spending "quality time". These type's of moment's, no amount of money can buy. As they say, Priceless!! What a blessing for this young man. 💖🙏👍
Thank you for this window into history! It was fascinating and Nonno seems to love sharing his knowledge, which is the hallmark of the best teachers. I appreciate the work you all put in to filming and editing for us!
I am so proud of Nonno. He is a very smart, hard-working man and a good example to follow . I love Nonna and Nonno so much that I am talking about them to my husband and children so much. Any chance I have. I follow Nonnas recipes and have fun watching them cooking, talking about their experience in life and whenever they fight 😊.

I have a feeling that he's been saying that for the last 10 times he's made wine though lol i'm glad that your family will always have these videos of your Nonno & Nonna. I can tell that both of them are so special ❤ god bless your beautiful family.
I’m not Italian and my family came to the US several generations ago, but I was fortunate to grow up in a small town with many Italian families. Some of my friends had grandparents who spoke only Italian. I’ve always wished I was first generation, because the Italian family ties are so strong. You are so lucky to have your Italian grandparents, who share their rich culture with you, but you already know that… Thank you for sharing them with all of us. I just found your channel and I subscribed immediately. I’m going to binge watch now and drift off into theirs and your beautiful world. ❤
Brings back great memories from when my father made wine!!! We used half Red/Zinfandel and half Muscat/White. My dad would make the best Red Wine in our Community. Best Wishes!
One of the coolest things I've seen on TH-cam. Not just as in entertainment, but as a family thing. I loved my grandfather, and to see something like this just warms the heart.
I am naturalised Italian. I lived here so long to see Italy as my second country. Your nonni have kept the italian spirit to the bone even living outside Italy. I love watching them ....thank you so much. Tanti saluti da Italia
I just discovered your channel and am now watching older episodes. Your grandparents are such a treasure, and you are so lucky to have them in your life. They are also so lucky to have such wonderful grandchildren who value and love them so much!
My Nonno and Nonna on both sides immigrated to Toronto in the 50s as well. My parents along with them. What a beautiful video. My dad used to make wine with my Nonno and I’ll never forget the smell! If the wine was not the best, my Nonno would put some ginger ale in it to cut the acid and let us try. At 34 I still do this if I don’t like a particular wine 😂Keep making these beautiful memories with them, you’ll never forget 🥹
Hats off to the new generation that took time to learn what his grandfather did when he was young. Even the machine that was used in the olden days is much better than what we now use. Great grandpa and grandson at work. God bless you’ll.
Awesome! I just spent my day making a Concord grape wine. I used the same grinder (crank, no motor) and no boots. Mine will set in the pole barn for the next 7-10 days before I press it to seperate the juice from the skins. Mid-Missouri, USA
Very cool, bud. You're a couple of great characters, and you've captured the love and respect between you simply and honestly. A pleasure to watch. And you're videography is clean and simple and real. What a pleasure to watch.
I love Nonno!!! I miss my grandpa so much, watching this made me cry! Please give him a hug for me, and let him know he he beloved by his internet grandkids 😂❤
Thank you for sharing this beautiful wine making process. These are some of the beautiful traditions that ensured good healthy community living. That's why fewer medications were required in those days. Keep it alive and enjoy the goodness of life.

I love wine, and though I've been on many winery tours I felt like I learned more from Nono's explanation. This was beautifully done Julian. Thanks for letting me borrow your grandparents today, it was needed 💜
Julian I would like to thank you for helping your grandparents out and in return your soaking up so much knowledge, and most importantly, a wonderful union. 🙏🏻
This was so interesting! That press with the added layers is a lesson in mechanics. I really appreciated Nonno's explanations. I hope this will be an outstanding vintage for you, Nonno!
I've been making wine for several years but after watching this I immediately started looking for a press. I have been fortunate to make some pretty good wine but you can always get better. Thanks for saving his knowledge and sharing it.
My husband was borned in a little village called Montemilone ( Basilicata ) and he used to pick grapes 🍇 with his Nonno Rocco and transport them in baskets on a donkey to the cantina. Luigi and his cousin Ernesto did press the wine by using their feet too. It's a good childhood memory who my husband really treasures to this day. Thank you for giving us this special treat it really warms our hearts to see this done! Greetings to you all from me, Susanne and Luigi in Sweden 👋❤🍷salute 😉👍🇸🇪.

I really love watching people do things the old way, the way their fathers taught them. The wine that is made is probably better than any store wine, and they made it without all the dodads that people use today. Awesome video thanks for sharing your experience with us
This is so amazing. Nonno making wine and giving us a history lesson on how it is made. So many steps and yet he is resilient at this age to give us the entire process. This is absolutely priceless. Nonno is a treasure.❤
Greetings, I am from Iran and how beautiful are the common cultures that have been preserved since ancient times. Unfortunately, we have many problems with the government here, such as the prohibition of alcohol and wine consumption, even though the history of wine in our country goes back to 5000 years before Christ, but we currently have a ban on its consumption, but today I bought 100 kg of grapes for wine. I bought it and I will do it in the usual manner of passing away, to the health of Zakaria Razi, the discoverer of Iranian alcohol.

What a nice video and so informative!! My friend drank a lot of wine one night in Rome and had no headache the next day. She attributed it to NO Sulfites in the Roman wine which is produced for local consumption, just like Nonno's.🥰
