I took my Certified Medical Examiners test today and passed. Thank you for all of your videos. They are very helpful and have been a great adjunct to my other resources.
I have a question regarding an NP who is a CME in Texas. Can this person have their own DOT clinic and not have to have a collaborative agreement with a physician? Or would a Chiropractor be able to be the supervising doctor for the NP? This is a gray area and I can't find a clear cut answer to it. It seems since no medical practice is being done, no diagnosing, treatments or procedures- that a MD does not have to supervise since the NP is a certified Medical examiner. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
@@cynthiaivan9931 typically not...check your state law regarding licensing of NPs but usually the supervision requirement is by MD/DO only. The intent is to have someone trained in medicine as the supervisor(physician). Chiropractors are not trained in the practice of medicine or nursing and are not physicians.

Absolutely! Good luck with everything.
Do you have a video for someone that has no experience in the field?
I would recommend a consultation. Check the description box

This will depend on the state. I believe in Texas a supervising physician is required.
Could a chiropractor supervise the NP in this field?
