The Stellantis CEO cost cutting and his 30mn dollar bonus Carlos Tavares
They didn't go bankrupt in 2008 because they made quality vehicles. The entire company hasn't made a reliable vehicle in 35 years.
@@donwyoming1936 Truth
Yep spot on. He's ruined the brand. Dodge had the majority share of police pursuit units nationwide. This greedy clown has single handedly destroyed any and ever his honey pot with law enforcement
@@donwyoming1936 LOL, the didnt go bankrupt because they received a HUGE bail out. Why is it that Honda, Toyota, and even Ford didnt need the bail out? Ford only got money because they rightfully stated it was an unfair advantage to give their competitors money. MOPAR is garbage. Just be real.
Mopar mo'problems
More and more chrysler products are just sitting unsold on dealer lots, especially jeep. Lacking reliability is enough of an issue, but the prices have gone absurdly high.
why anyone would buy a dodge blows my mind. although they do keep my shop busy and wealthy
They put all of their quality control into the hellcats and 6.4s 😂
Been years like that. Ram and stuff still ok but not new ones
The chrysler corporation hasn't had a great company culture in my lifetime. Merging with fiat wasn't going to make circumstances better.
@@stevejohnson1321 only reason they merged with fiat is to reduce their fuel consumption numbers. Every time i work on a fiat , it blows my mind how badly designed they are. change a starter or a front table and you will understand
Such a bullshit, typical corporate statement. Stellantits destroyed the Chrysler brand.
Dodge has always been garbage…..not news. That’s on you.
chrystler was on it's way long before, they have made garbage for far too long, and the bail outs for it will continue to cost us all.
Couldn’t agree more! Dodge used to be an excellent choice but mismanagement from their jackass Stallantis CEO who’s a tightwad cut quality and corners. HUGE embarrassment for our Chrysler brands and the USA. So sick of these stupid foreign companies destroying Chrysler. 😡
There wasn't much left to damage.
How about expediting a refund for those rolling garbage bins?
Ask the CEO.
He just got paid a record-breaking $39Mil amid this destruction of the Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep and Ram brands.
They could just write the check to Ford for us.
@@WhatsupETthe 2020-2022 explorer interceptors randomly catch on fire so that wouldn’t have been much better. I drive a 2022 at work with less than 30k miles on it and it’s already needed a new rear axle and the transmission is failing. And I baby that thing
The current Ford Explorers are having issues too. Fire issues, rear axle, transmission issues. And under powered unless it’s the 3.5 Ecoboost. The “only” really decent police vehicles that can be bought right now are the Chevy Tahoe’s. But they’re god awfully slow for what departments need. If only Dodge could stop building hunks of sheat and Ford can fix there Explorer problems then maybe everyone would be in a better place. Sucks the chargers aren’t gonna get Hemi’s anymore… Dodge coulda had something good but Stellanis just couldn’t leave there corporate bs about EV’s out of it.
Just look at their response. They just don't care but its sounds good.
Many police departments are having issues with these vehicles. Most just don't bother saying anything. Good for this Chief for raising the issue in the manner that he has!!
The agency I work for made the mistake of swapping over from ford/gm. Everyone now has a tiny Durango. I’m only 5’9” and have to get out the rear seat like an older person to maneuver my way out. I once smashed my knee between the door and b-pillar thinking there’s enough wiggle room between the front seat and the b-pillar. My driver complains he doesn’t have enough room up front.
Dodge was unethical to manufacture an American vehicle with such wrongful dimensions. They got away like scammers.
Rumor is, our bidder waited too long and Dodge vehicles were at “the bottom of the barrel”. Seems to be that contention all around the country…
@@kennygaming208 great comment. I had the same thoughts concerning suvs too. My agency would take additional money to reconstruct the suspension to reverse the high pitch/roll. Make it make sense. I’ve seen Chargers effectively pit/tvi just as well as suvs. Seems like the perfect vehicle across the country with some as hellcats for certain applications.
Stellantis is a complete dumpster fire.
Don't buy anything from stellantis
No you don't
@@kennygaming208 nothing sadder than eurocuck vehicles.
Yeah Stellantis burned their bridges with North American. I won’t buy anything from them because they have destroyed the Chrysler brands. The CEO Is a complete idiot and he’s the one that’s pushed for CHEAP parts fail then he has the nerve to over charge for these vehicles and then to add insult to injury their customers service sucks after you bought it. So hell to the NO!
Stellantis is horrible!
@@gravewrench8607 LOLZ!! It amazes me how many people will spend $50k+ on a car but never read the owners manual!! I think most people WANT to be dumb.
pure tech engines is unbelievable
its a SUVs 🤌🏻
So it appears. It seems that all car and truck makers all over the world are putting a noticeable quantity of “shit” these days.
Almost as horrible as Chicago
In other news, Stellantis CEO gets 56% pay raise, to $39.49 million…
Stellantis...the gift that keeps on giving.
The Durango is literally one of the oldest "new" vehicles designs on the market - little changed in over a decade. One would think they would've worked out the kinks by now.
The municipality I worked for bought some Dodge Charger squad cars when the Crown Victoria was being discontinued. That idea lasted about two years. The Chargers could not take much abuse and were in the shop quite often. The department now uses Ford Explorers although I am not sure anything is as durable as the Crown Vic.
They did the smart thing and avoided transverse front wheel drive vehicles.
My department tried Taurus, explorer, charger, then Tahoe. None of them held up as well as a C/V
It’s not just a dealer issue but a manufacture issue. I’m sorry but these modern Mopars are subpar.
I've been telling friends of mine to stay away from ANY Stellantis products.
carlos is a clown. stellantis is a joke.
Every single one of them have had Oil Cooler failures.........................causing oil to get into the cooling systems ! ! ! !
Yes plastic crap
Oil in the cooling system is better than water in the oil.
I'd buy a running one at auction and fix the oil cooler for less than $300.
@@thisguyshorty3554
No you cant...not for 300
@@thisguyshorty3554 Guess which way the pressurized coolant goes when the engine is shut down.
@@darkbeer9928 the part is less than $300. So yes you can.
Hey Stellantis, how are you going to 'expedite' service when the dealership can't even get the parts?! SMH
First problem, its a Dodge, 2nd problem its a Dodge...😂😂😂
Don’t forget it’s a Dodge
Deplorable Dodge indeed
My 2014 charger is still running despite multiple of my agencies 2022 explorers being dead in the water. Tahoes gave engine issues. It’s everyone.
@@lawoftheland5923Nah, it’s the Fiat/ Dodge garage. Literal imports 😂
My dodge dart 2015 is till running, 9 years and still going. 85k miles. Did several upgrades to get better horse power and its fun to drive. You can keep harping about dodge, but dodge isn't the issue, its stellantis
should have made a new crown vic model... smh
You want Dodge to make a car produced by Ford?
Lol that's ford
they shouldn't have gone to dodge in the first place. you don't see these problems with the police explorers
@@4G63-T_UwUThey couldn’t get the Fords. That’s why they went to Dodge
@@kennygaming208 really? They have a new Crown Victoria? Got a link for proof?
I work in service at a CDJR dealer, and I can say that I have seen a couple engine failures on newer Durango pursuits and a lot of fuel pump failures. If these vehicle idle too long it ruins the fuel pump. Probably not a good thing for an emergency vehicle. The craziest thing about the Durango Pursuit, is that they put the cage that separates the drivers and the rear passengers right over top of the door to access the battery! You have to take the cage out to properly charge or replace the battery.
Stellantis could care less it’s why there dealers can’t sell there cars
Stellantis is purposely killing off Chrysler.
It’s Stellantis, enough said. Not surprised that this happened.
Harmonic balancers begin to make noise telling you of impending failures is a major problem for the dodge durango!
My ex girlfriend’s Jeep had an engine blown with 70k on it. Always dealer serviced.
Crap cars. A friend of mine bought one, and it was completely rusted out in 8 years. We're talking feet through the floorboards rusted.
okay now youre just making things up
@@drewdevon2009 Well, my proof hit the junkyard years ago, so I guess you will never know.
@@Cucumberflavoredmustardthen you live in the wrong state
What a joke on Dodge. These have been in production for over 10 years and still can't figure it out and fix the bugs
3.6 pentastar, not the HEMI
Right but the Hemi has got Camshaft issues, especially when they idle alot
Love how the first pic is of an Explorer!
Come on man! Should we expect a news channel to put out a quality product? They're just like the company they're reporting on.
Nice
explorers are just as unreliable
@@drewdevon2009 I see tons of Explorer police cars in every town i go to. Must be more dependable than Dodge otherwise other departments wouldn't have bought them too.
Last Dodge we owned was a Dodge Fart, er, um, I mean a Dodge Dart.
Those are not and never were real Dodge Darts. They are a FIAT crap heap that stole that namesake. If you want a real Dodge Dart, get a nicely restored classic.
@@stevenslouber4947 Was a rusted-out '73...not pretty
I have a dart 2015 and still works without issues and did all 5 recalls despite not needing them. Maybe I got lucky, but I love the car and put about 85k so far.
Weird, my brother has one, it’s going on 210,000 miles as of now. Never had any issues, regularly changed the oil, and replaced the brake pads once.
Best car I ever had was a 1972 Dodge dart with a 318 ci engine!!! Best car I ever owned!!!!
Biggest problem is 10 speed automatics....no need for that...shifting constantly = more wear.
Actually the 10 speeds always skip gears while up / downshifting except under full throttle.
So are you saying that the carbon footprint of replacing vehicles 3x as often exceeds the 1mpg gain of going to 10 speed transmissions? Say it aint so EPA, I thought you guys were smart.
The 10 speed is the least of the worries, it's a faulty oil cooler along with a fault oil filter housing and oil valley leaks. Even the civilian model v6 chryslers have this problem but it's said that the police models possibly have an extra oil cooler which is even more susceptible to this issue.
@@evanshireman5644, the new Dodge inline 6 cylinder makes about 500 HP that they are replacing the hemi V8 with. This should be interesting.👍
I thought they use the ZF-8speed transmission..?
Thanks, Carlos!
You can expedite fixing police vehicles all you want.
But at the end of the day, you can’t polish a turd.
Having personally owned a Dodge in the past,
I will NEVER touch a Dodge, Ram, Chrysler or Fiat again.
Touché buddy!!!! Had a new ‘98 Neon and that’s was the last Dodge for me. Passed it down to my son who passed it on to his mother-in-law then she junked it after getting a new car. A lot of moronic drivers out there but the most ignorant ones own Dodges.
When the system breaks down the world goes really slow
They should never get rid of the Crown Victorias or Dodge Charger sedans in the first place! They made the biggest mistake.
I'm sure police would have kept the crown vics had ford not discontinued them
There's your problem, you guys bought a Stellantis product.
Thats why i wont buy a new dodge ever again
Expediting the repairs now that they’ve made headline news 🙄 smh Stellantis
Ofc it's Stellantis. Great vehicles when they work, but they often don't.
Same thing across the country including Indiana. Thanks stellantis
And yet they have the audacity to try and charge you 80-90K for one of those as a Civilian. Get bent Stellantis!
It's become a shit company with Carlos running the show !
Ford arent any better those junky 2020+ trans issues hybrid technology issues constantly needs updates maybe try the tahoes see how those work
Tahoe has an identical transmission to the Fords. Remember, Ford and GM code developed the 10 speed together.
@tylermacconnell217 I forgot about that so dam your fucked either way 🤣🤣
An old Crown Vic with 300k miles would be more reliable 😆
@@Network126 most definitely would be bro I miss the vics
The tahoes require new transmissions every 6 months. They are trash
Next time get a tahoe
Haa...then they would have catastrophic transmission and engine lifter failure!!!😂
Nahh they should just get an old crown vic😂 even at 300k miles they would probably be more reliable than this newer cars
@@jtthedon4230 Go electric, so long as they have it planned out with the proper infrastructure, they wouldn’t have to deal with any of these issues at all. Little to no maintenance.
@@official_pol2198 Yeah ok LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLLOLOLOLOL
@Jimmyxsx I went by the old Crown Vic plant in St Thomas Ontario. It is now an Amazon Fulfilment warehouse.
Stellantis has completely ruined Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep....I was a Mopar fan for years....but no more
Dodge is another word for avoid.
Very well done!!!
This was the same problem with the Indiana State Police it is a problem across the board really bad look on Dodge but it is because of Stellantis when American companies sell ownership to foreign overseas companies it never goes well. I have been a big advocate for Dodge, Chrysler, Ram, Jeep, to break off Stellantis and come back under American ownership that will run things more smoothly especially with Law Enforcement vehicles.
Typical corporate America cop out
Hah, I get it
They’re not American, they’re Dutch (Netherlands). Dodge & Jeep are the only American companies (out of 14) they own. They absolutely suck.
These are emergency vehicles and are needed , hold Stellantis accountable without a doubt.
You know your cars are really unreliable when the police have reliability problems with them.
Oh, Stellantis…
I wouldn't even buy a dodge toothpick....
Your gonna be disappointed with those Fords lots of police agencies are complaining they way too slow and have numerous transmission issues.
Yeah 285HP in the base model and the hybrids, while faster, are giving tons of problems.
@@IKhanNotthe hybrids are pretty fast. My department has them. I feel sorry when the batteries start going bad
@@khalifgreen581 My concern for the hybrids is the reliability. Not the speed.
Thats why agencies should choose the ecoboost. 400hp
@@chriszurita Those are being recalled by Ford now. Burned valves. Entire motors are going to be replaced but of course they're on back order.
GMC Vans would have been a wiser choice. I think they should turn the Durangos into bait cars.
Lol
I don’t know man my shop had a GMC van and within 30K miles that thing was absolute junk. Interior was falling apart. Anytime you went wide open throttle it felt like it misfired like the acceleration would feel choppy. Also the transmission was an absolute moron as it would hold first gear all the way to 3500rpm even though you were barely pressing the throttle. Just general dog shot.
I bought a used 5k miles 392 Durango that originally cost over 80k as it was almost fully loaded and also with the 6.4 engine. From the start I had issues. Traded it back about 5k miles later. Shameful.
Hood much did you lose?
Glad that i bought my 2012 RAM Express in 2012. Its the last vehicle that I will own unless someone hits me . All vehicle manufacturers went into the gutter.
I agree 100%.
Yes I have a older Durango with the 8 and it's been reliable.
@@ronl1633 I had a 2000 Durango for 1 year that I bought for a girlfriend to drive that I had for 2 months 😂😂😂😂😂. After she was gone I hardly drove it. But it had a 360 Magnum in it and was super fast. I finally got rid of it being upside down on the worth on a 2002 Jeep Wrangler Sport. Being single,no kids the Durango didn't fit me. But like I said it was fast.
Poor QC and ECO requirements have virtually ruined the auto industry. wouldnt buy any post 2006 V8 or turbocharged vehicle without an ironclad bumper to bumper warranty.
If Stellantis was serious they would state that all currently out of service vehicles will be swapped out for a new zero mile vehicle at no cost.
Stellantis is a dead man walking. They have no money and can't make anything better.
That was your 1 mistake buying dodge
DODGE: What idiot would purchase a Dodge vehicle and expect a quality product. We are sorry, but not sorry, next time buy a FORD 😄
Imagine buying a dodge and thinking it’ll be reliable 😂
Ford should of kept making the crown Vic. These issues could of been avoided
Yep! Those things were damn near indestructible!!
Now you know why the LA county Sheriffs department keeps on refurbishing its old CVPIs vs replacing them.
How Chrysler survived the merge with Mercedes is an absolute mystery. The last "decent" vehicles this company produced were the 3rd gen Caravans/Voyagers/T&Cs. Seen em with 300,000 miles running better at 25 years old than the 2020 models.
Really? Didn't know those were as good as my Sienna. I have a 2000 Sienna with over 267k.
@@Network126 and it will outlast a new Pacifica by 200,000 miles
That was before all the EPA tech in engines and transmissions. Most cars after 2009 are hot garbage.
Chrysler got the tech -- the Mercedes 5-speed auto
Have you ever looked up Dodge in the dictionary? To avoid.
I like what you did there
And Ford basically means go over so, time to buy Chevy?
Bring back the crown victoria
If Ford is listening, this is your chance to bring back the most reliable police vehicle in history, the *Ford Crown Victoria* with the same tried & true engine/transmission but a modern cabin and chassis.
They dont care either
Not Dodge. There hasn't been a Dodge since the "merger of equals" in '98. Y'all have been buying Mercs and Fiats ever since.

Just a canned remark. That company days is numbered.
Why you show a Ford Explorer.
What a massive pile of garbage. Do not bail out this company.
First Boeing, now Dodge. American brands are dying, we don't export much these days and the things we do are trash. At this point "made in China" is starting to sound better than "made in USA". Corporations exploited the working man for too long; having pride in one's work is just a thing of the past. This will only get worse before it gets better.
"Bai lan" = "let it rot"
Total junk 💯😂😂😂
They need to pick up some used crown victoria vehicles.
Facts. We need to save money and make all police departments go back to the crown vic. Make ford open up crown vic production and roll with it.
@@MR.TOYBOX Couldn't happen, but would be great. Only CV problem I recall was plastic intake manifolds, and it wasn't a deal breaker. That 4.6 was basically bulletproof.

From an engineering standpoint, steer clear of anything Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep.
I have had nothing but good luck with Dodge. My daily is a 1988 caravan 2.2 with 277,450 miles. Only manufacturer I believe in.
This generations line of engineers are horrible when it comes to making new adjustments to vehicles.
Stellantis has fired most of it's American engineers and now use mostly European, Morroccan and Indian. engineers.

Journalism ! Thank you .
Screwing the oil filter onto a plastic part is a recipe for disaster. Screwing the oil filter on too tight has caused the plastic to crack and oil to leak out. Metal aftermarket parts are available, but the damage to Stellantis' reputation has already been done.
Indina state police is having the same issue.
If we bought, we’ll fix it, but how much for the Durango PPV?
This is just a company begging to go out of business. Merrillville should take Stellantis to court to recoup what they have been charged for this crap. Money is the only thing that corporate America understands. Start taking it back from them.
Dodge 1. Taxpayers 0
You people need to stop blaming Stellantis, They took over in 21. You need to look at Tim Kuniskis and crew. Since they took over QC and parts went down hill.
