    Easy to follow and thorough step by step tutorials do it yourself (DIY) to help you with your broken lawn and garden equipment including snowblowers.
    I do my best to teach you how to easily diagnose problems the fastest, quickest and most efficient way with real repairs beyond just replacing a spark plug. These tips are for both the homeowner and shop owner.
    Whether it be a handheld, two stroke, two cycle engine like a chainsaw, weed eater, weed wacker, string trimmer, grass trimmer, line trimmer, hedge trimmer, strimmer, brush cutter, leaf blower, or four stroke, four cycle units like a lawnmower, wood splitter, lawn tractor, snowblower, pressure washer, generator or a ride on mower that needs parts installed or replaced, I’m your go-to guy.
    My favorite brands of spark plugs are NGK and Champion and are the ones I recommend.
    I’ve been a small engine mechanic for many decades and also run my own repair shop so my videos are loaded with tips and tricks that I have learned and want to share with you. You will also find many tool and product reviews from top brands on my channel as well.

    Good video, Donyboy73. It's Canada. The chainsaw is so common it might as well be on the $1 coin, and primary education could include disassembly and reassembly of gas chainsaws.

    Dony, thanks for the video. Excellent presentation as alway! Oiler on my Jonsered 250C seems not to be working. Will do your recommended diagnostic tests first, then determine whether I have the confidence and the necessary tools and parts to do the replacement myself. Unfortunately, not being a small engine repair technician, I could easily not recognize any parts that are worn and also need replacement. Good to see someone who knows what he is doing and from there determine the time, effort and skill level required by a novice.

    Now, i game up with an idea couple days ago, and i told it to Bruce Pender, i also want to tell it another great canadian, you sir. For the next Halloween, if you got a useless old 3 hp Briggs engine from the 60's or 70's. You spray it orange, remove the flywheel and then you but the candle under the engine cover, and there's your Jack O'Lantern. I've got one blown up engine like that, and i'm gonna try that.

      Interesting...my experience is the opposite. My McCulloch is a PITA and my Husqvarna starts and runs well...I think how much you use it matters. I run the Husqvarna a couple of times a month all year, but the Mac only infrequently.

    • @swingbelly
      @swingbelly 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Ron. Like James, I have too have had the opposite experience. Overall, from experience, I think the Swedish saw is better and more reliable than the German saw. My older Jonsered 250C starts on the first pull, runs much smoother (no dancing!), is quieter and more powerful than my newer Stihl MS261. And, as my small engine repair mechanic once related, the Swedish saws have fewer parts to consider than the German saws. Guess it's a matter of preference ie. Ford vs GM vs Chrysler! Enjoy your day guys and thanks to Dony for proving this forum for discussion.

      @donyboy73  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      yes absolutely

    • @BRrdeckard
      @BRrdeckard 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you can't find winter weight bar oil, just cut summer weight with a little kerosene. 10% - 20% by volume usually does the trick, depending on brand or viscosity of the oil. Mix it too thin and you'll go through oil too much, not enough kero and you'll slow your oiling down. Just keep an eye on your oil level periodically.

    great video ! just one question donyboy73 , why do you prefer the plastic filter over the paper filter ? in my opinion the plastic filter is completely garbage after one day of using the plastic filter my carb air intake was full of shit.. one day !! so i put back my paper filter after i clean it and order another plastic filter thinking it might have been a default one...same exact thing with the second filter.

    • @VE1AXC
      @VE1AXC 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That black filter is for winter use. It is 80 mic. The flock is the better choice for summer. It blocks finer particles, less dirt ingestion and increased engine life. A recently published service bulletin shows a new type on air filter for improved filtration, can be retrofitted on the older 562xp by installing a new air filter holder and cover kit.
