    Bought a used 572xp and realized after I had it there were cracks throughout the plastic brake handle! Could really tell while releasing the brake. Your video saved me a big hassle! Thank you very Much!!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

    Thank you for your help. I took off the plastic cover w/three screws, sh*@% went flying. Big powerful spring did not stay put. If ya didn't tell me to use the tapered torx tool, I wouldn't have ever got that back in there. You saved my bacon. I liked and subscribed.

      Ya its not bad. You just have to do a few to figure out the best order to do it in.

    I changed the brake guard on my 576xp using this video.
    Not sure how because every vital instruction seems to be arrogantly dismissed.
    Glad I took a picture of it intact before I took it apart or fuck knows how I would have put it back together.

      Well then we'll just consider this video inspiration rather than a tutorial. Good job on the repair!

      @@TheGreasyShopRag Cheers fella, it defiantly inspired me to replace it saving me a 2 week wait and some cash!

    I learn a lot from different models. Do you look at IPL’s before working on an unfamiliar saw? Thanks and good camera work.

    • @TheGreasyShopRag
      @TheGreasyShopRag  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, I like puzzles. I only look at IPLs if I need a part or forgot how it goes back together.

      @@TheGreasyShopRag That would help your brain for sure. The harder, the more you’ll remember.

    Lemme guess; Husqvarna did not provide us with a shop manual on this and you had to figure it out as you went. I have not yet removed that guide plate to do further "house cleaning". I will keep that in mind. You do good video presentations!

      I just looked and they do provide a shop manual for the 572. If you work at a dealership you have to search for it from the dealer dashboard. It doesn't come up under the IPL.

    One of your driver bit has a piece of tape on it about halfway up the shaft. Is that so you can see which way the drill is turning? Or is it just good special effects for television? I do like it when you zoom in on a subject. Good stuff!

    • @TheGreasyShopRag
      @TheGreasyShopRag  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That tape was put on there to designate it was a T20 bit. When I had the whole set of that brand scattered on my magnetic strip I would often grab the wrong size.

    Got a Snap-On dealer in the family? 🤣
    👍🍻

    • @TheGreasyShopRag
      @TheGreasyShopRag  ปีที่แล้ว

      Nope. I have had good service from the tools and my dealer so I stick with them. It helps that he is at the shop every week and even if I'm broke I can pick up something I need (or want).

      @@TheGreasyShopRag I'm just messin with ya. We used to have Snap-On and Mac on a weekly basis and Matco occasionally. Like a candy store on wheels, only a little bit more expensive.

    Thanks Scott for the good information on the 572 XP always look forward to seeing and repairing something .you think that plastic cover should come off every now and then to clean underneath or is it unnecessary thank you very much

      I mean, the brake is a safety feature so it probably wouldn't hurt to look under there although I don't think its in the maintenance schedule.

    Why is this saw missing the clutch drum assembly

      Dunno. All they wanted was a brake handle.
