    Here are the 10 reasons:
    1. Overeating causes bloating (split 3 big meals into 4-5 smaller meals)
    2. Not chewing your food
    3. Eat too fast
    4. Drinking too much water while eating (drink water 30min before or after you eat)
    5. Water retention & not drinking enough water (at least 8 glasses a day)
    6. Food sensitivity (IBS, Lactoses, gluten, fructose intolerance)
    7. Raw vegetables (fibre can be hard to digest)
    8. Sodas & chewing gums (you're basically swallowing air the whole time)
    9. Sugar alcohols (things like low carb bars or no sugar cookies have sugar alcohols that makes you feel bloated)
    10. Constipation. Eat plenty of soluble fibre (bananas, Papayas, Avocados, carrots, potatoes, yams, oranges, etc.) & insoluble fibre (most beans, peas. Barley, popcorn, flax seed, whole wheat bread, chickpeas, spinach, etc.)

    For me.... and I'm sure for many girls.... one of my biggest causes of bloating is my period. The week right before my period is when I experience hellish bloating. I seriously gain like five pounds from just water retention. And there's nothing I can do but wait it out ;-;

    For all of you with intolerances and stuff: Try think think of all the food that you CAN eat, not of all the food that you CAN'T eat.
    I'm sensitive to wheat (I usually just avoid it), and for the longest time I had the mindset of "I can't eat bread, I can't eat cake, I can't eat this,..." but when I changed my mindset and either bought a wheat-free version of it or made it at home my life got better. Because now I don't feel restricted anymore :)

      congratulations on being active and fit at such a young age and caring about your health (bc yes, working out is good for your health) but it is a long process, in 2 weeks you will feel the difference, the reps you normally do will be easier than before. in 4 weeks you will see it, you'll start to see results in about a month. and in 6 seeks you'll hear it, your friends and family will notice your progress. although I don't think the last one is true, the 2 and 4 week is true, I've seen it in myself. but seriously, it's a long process, but once you see results it becomes an addiction and be careful when training, too much could be bad. best of wishes😘

    You should look into how having low stomach acid causes bloating and digestive issues. There's ways to fix your stomach acid (Betaine HCL). Low stomach acid is very common.

    Every morning, 30 mins before breakfast i drink water with lemon. I always drink 8 to 12 glasses of water everyday and i chew my food thoroughly but my problem is after drinking and eating my food, my stomach will start to bloat.

    I have same problems Chloe! For years my stomach hurt so much. Eating less is number one help! Also now no lactose (Lactose free milk, lactase pills with cottage cheese), no gluten and FODMAP diet is all helping a lot. Trial of foods really helping. You are very smart and very helpful. Love you.

    I love your honesty Chloe :) You are super fit and instead of making people feel you are perfect and never have any issues you aren't afraid to be transparent. I have bloating issues too, and have incorporated a lot of the things you say in this video. Its still good to hear I'm not alone. Sometimes I feel like I have to be so careful with my diet when I look around and others appear to have an 'iron stomach' lol Its just life but thanks for being you :)

I am 13 years old, ive been working out since i was twelve and ive seen big improvement in my ares and legs, but my stomach has small change in the morning but it comes back by evening! its soo annoying, so thank you for these tips im going to follow them and ill check in again in a week or two and share my results

    I am super guilty of eating too fast and not chewing. I am always being told not to bolt my food. I know about the enzymes in saliva but still do it. I really need to slow down. I think (according to google) some sweetners make you feel extra hungry so I am going to cut those out and just use fruit and a tiny bit of honey to sweeten things. I dont drink carbonated things so thats not a problem. My IBS did improve a bit when I cut out dairy and gluten at the beginning of August but I am going to eliminate legumes and pulses too and be ultra careful with oat products because they can be contaminated with gluten. I still eat fish but thats all so am technically a pescatarian.
    Yes drinking water whilst eating isnt good as it dilutes your dietary enzymes.

    Thank you for these!!! But to others out there who didn't know: Female bodies SHOULD have a bump at the bottom of their stomach, it's your uterus. The reason there's a bump is because your uterus pushes out on your lower belly. Make sure to know the difference between fat, bloating, and your LITERAL ORGANS PLEASE!!!

    I suffer from genetic constipation and I also eat quickly and drink tons of water. I've been trying to slow down but it's hard when you have school :( I've increased my fibre intake to counter the constipation though, and it's been working!

    Quarantine lead me to this! I feel bloated, & now I know that it is because I drink a lot of water while eating 🤦🏻‍♀️ I thought it's okay but it's not 🤷🏻‍♀️

    Super late but I'm glad I clicked on this! It reaffirms my need to eat mindfully, thanks for reminding me. I have your same digestion issues, I suggest looking into Ayurveda! Specifically, Vata dosha. We Vata dosha bodies cannot eat raw foods. No raw veggies or fruits or at least very VERY limited. But you can still eat them cooked! For example, if you like apples try cooked or stewed apples. I put them on top of home made waffles and they help with the taste and the digestion process!

    quick question: since you drink so much water, do you have to pee more frequently? when i drink a lot of water it feels like i need to pee 24/7 LOL

      i don’t drink water directly the liquid is usually in my meals.. i don’t just have a water bottle with me wherever i go and i know it’s not healthy but i just don’t feel thirsty so i always forget to drink water

    In school I have one break 30min where we can eat then lunch 30min after two lessons..
    So I kinda can't have 4-5 small meals

    Chloe, i really would like to thank you SO much for making your videos especially this one and all your workout videos.
    I currently do have abs but the weird thing is that they are on the top of my "belly" and i never understood why because i dont eat much and i drink enough water, now i completly get it.
    Im suffering from a lot of digestive problems and i am doing probably all of the things you said on this video, so now i know why my belly isn't going away and i am so grateful to you for making this video because NOBODY ever made a video on bloating.     Swallow a clove of garlic for gas troubles
    Crush a little ginger and mix it in water... Drinking it can help your digestion

    All these eating habits/methods you have mentioned are correct. Prophet Mohammad Peace be upon him mentioned these as well 1400 years ago and we as a Muslim follow them and stay healthy and look good as well. Keep up the good work, all the best.

    Thank you for sharing Chloe! I have a lot of the same issues and I appreciate your honesty on something that other’s would not share. However, it is very important to figure out why our stomachs do what they do. I hate that you have to deal with the same things.     I also have had IBS for many years (since I can remember) and bloating has always been my worse symptom. It's always affected my confidence. Recently I've been understanding more what foods will set me off, but sometimes it's just because of stress (even if my conscious mind is not that stressed!) and in those cases it truly sucks that I can't do anything about it 😒

      Chloe Ting oh great video to watch ~ i had bloated stomach and looks like have a problem with digestion after eating overnight oats. i had rolled oats, mashed bananas, milk, yogurt, chia seeds, honey, little salt, and raisins in it.

    to help you if you don’t want to watch the whole thing:
    1. you’re overeating-split your meals up
    2. you’re not chewing your food-chew your food more so it will digest better
    3. you’re eating too fast-eat slower
    4. you’re drinking water while eating-this dilutes digestive juices and stomach acids, don’t eat and drink at the same time
    5. you’re not drinking enough water-drink more water especially if you’re eating a lot of salt, 8 glasses of water a day if you’re not excercising
    6. find what makes you feel the most bloated and avoid those foods-experiment and see what those foods are and eat them only in small moderation
    7. you’re eating lots of raw vegetables-fibers are hard to digest, cook your veggies
    8. you drink too much sodas-you’re basically drinking air in this also don’t chew gum
    9. you’re drinking sugar alcohols-when something says no sugar added, it probably has sugar alcohols, avoid these
    10. you’re having constipation- use probiotics, laxatives, digestive enzymes

    I'd highly recommend anyone with bloating and stomach pain to do a stool sample examination at the doctor. Perhaps there are Clostridia or too many "bad" bacteria in your intestines and not enough "good" ones your intestines actually needs.

      It will definitely make you feel better. It won't reduce the amount of gas in your stomach but it helps to tighten your core which makes you feel better. haha.

    Alot of alternative sugar replacements actually cause bloating, along with hairloss and abdominal weight gain. Some herbs, like fennel can reduce bloating.

    I'm bloating on a regular basis! Sometimes it's so painful that I can't stand on my feet and I just have to kneel on the ground! I found that I have IBS when I was 11-12 and then the lactose and gluten intolerance appeared, sometime I can't eat fruits/vegetables without having really painful cramps and gas. It's a nightmare! Although it's a very uncomfortable condition, I am glad that people like Chloe break the stigma around it that causes people to feel embarrassed or ashamed around others when their symptoms appear and that sometimes it's completely normal. I still struggle to adapt to it after so many years and it upsets me how many foods I have to avoid but I think it is part of the journey to learn to accept it and learn how to deal with it!
