- The GT4 RS is the pinnacle of mid-engine Porsche. On the outside of the Weissach package you will notice an exposed carbon fiber hood/rear spoiler/side mirrors/side scoops, forged wheels and titanium exhaust. On the inside you will be greeted by fixed back carbon fiber bucket seats and complete race-tex dash. Powering the GT4 RS is a 4.0L flat-6 that is mated to a 7-speed PDK. @@Gurka84I have a VB WRX 6MT currently and manual is fun but man VAG dual clutches are just something else. Even the DSGs are really high performing (with or without a tune) and super fun.

That carbon fiber is so beautiful on that arctic gray. Love those blue rims n black Caliper.
Holy crap, I had to watch that again! You probably dint want to say how fast you were taking those turns but it looked planted on the road just like you said! I had a 1985 RX7 (technically a mid engine) that revved high and with a suspension kit that was lmgave that sensation minus 400 hp. Time slowed down when you got onto those twisty back roads. Thanks for the passion!
BTW, I've driven torqu-ee corvettes that had gobs of power. I don't get that kind of out of body experience with low rpm engines with high torque. The 7000 rpm and up engines give you that!
I also really like those blue wheels, Joe. I'd also be okay with the PDK transmission, which is so darned dependable anyway. I absolutely love this model! Thanks for making my day!

I love the way he reviews cars, he has all the main info, and specs you need, but doesn't drag anything on to long, he's funny, and his test drives are always rowdy and fun to watch.
I honestly don't like the 718 series but for the price this is a really good car.

I sold my Subaru BRZ to Joe about 5 years ago. Few years later bought a 718 GT4. Loved that car but traded it in for a GT4RS and it’s the most unreal car I’ve ever or probably will ever own. Hey Joe, if you’re in Gainesville and want to check out a rare green GT4RS, LMK.
Joe was in trance with this GT4RS and it's engine. 😵😲🤩 First car I see with the engine literally in the cabine, the sound and feel must be incredible 😃
A cool trick you could do in the GT4 RS is that when you’re in neutral and pull both paddles at the same time, you could override the limiter and rev up to 7,000 rpm.
I don't think I have seen Joe not being able to speak at a STOP sign...or at any sign for that matter! But that's what the skunkmasters from Weissach can do when they have free reign with a car. This is the middle-engine compact super car to buy! End of. Sure, there are bigger, more powerful fish out there, but the way this thing looks, goes, sounds and handles is out of this world. If you are in doubt, go watch the Nurburgring video from a couple of years ago. And if nearly 500 horses are not enough for you, there is always Manthey Racing, they will sort you out! They are in a class by themselves and appropriately the slogan “Porsche there is no substitute” makes sense. I have a 911 Turbo S and it is also incredible to drive & very easy to drive fast anywhere!!!

I don't like the color Arctic Gray. I would prefer either dark blue or white with lime green stripes, but the Cayman is really cool.
I had a 2019 GT3-RS and was bored to tears, not enough power. I then got a 2018 GT2-RS and that flew.

What a heavenly driving experience! Shaving off all that extra weight, providing for the ultimate in air flow for the brakes and that great naturally aspirated slant 6- all in a comfy package. Hang in there, Joe. Once the EV fever is cooled by slow sales, Porsche will bring out this design again.
