      I'd actually want to explain MY explanation to the games's mysteries and like, it's almost fully confirmed at this point, so please hear me out and allow me to destroy all your theories! ^^ (Relax it's just a joke, you did a great job too ^^').
      Well firstly, the Paradox Pokémon, they're 100% real, but no, they aren't from past/future, they're from parallel timelines, that's Terapagos's powers, it can use a magical mist to bring Pokémon from other timelines to its own, we don't know if these timelines are in the future/past though, they could very well be ancient/futuristic-looking, it's countless timelines, everything's possible.
      Now about the professors at Crystal Pool, they aren't OUR professors, they're from another timeline as well, a very similar one though, one where they gave us their Scarlet/Violet Book in exchange for Briar's Book (and yes i know there were copies of it but only THEIR copy has their name on it with a very clumsy handwriting, from when they were a child), now, our professors however still had their Scarlet/Violet Book and even turned it into a key to turn down the Time Machine, besides, in our timeline, Arven was born just as the professors brought Koraidon/Miraidon to their timeline, but the other professors's Arven was already born and they still didn't pull any Paradox Pokémon yet.
      That's pretty much a fact to me when you pay attention to all tiny details, there's no way those professors are the same ones we've heard of in the games and the Paradox Pokémon are already claimed to be from other timelines, the professors at the Crystal Pool confirmed that, it's a fact.

    its very possible that the "man" came from Paldea, and came WITH the crystals, for the story itself says *"The masks were brilliant works, adorned with gems the man brought from somewhere far away."* if the man is truly death, there's a chance... he died in the crystal pool, and the crystals fell with him, slowly absorbing the energy around it
    (as explained by the artbook page of the tera orb, and by Briar over why the caves on the underdepths are crystalized; terastal crystals take energy from the environment to turn it into terastal energy, which in turn crystalizes, then these crystals take more energy from the environment, and so on), and growing.
    as for the core, Briar explicitly says that it's main ingredients are:
    rocks and ground from Paldea, the region from which the terastal phenomenon originated and the most infected from the insides by it
    water from kitakami, which originates from the crystal pool and in around 200 years has brought kitakami to a similar level of terastalization as Paldea
    and after the DLC, crystals she gathered from within the chamber of terapagos, ergo, crystals fueled directly with the stellar type energy
    and she's managed to turn the terrarium into a perfect copy of the underdepths of area zero, i mean it's hard to hide the fact that the only places you can find tera shards in massive bundles are in the chambers near terapagos, and in the terrarium
    it's al environmental storytelling, underneath Crispin's arena there's a massive bundle of fire-type tera shards, something that doesn't even happen nearby gym arenas in paldea
    and atop the core despite fights not even occuring theres 50 stellar-type shards, terastal energy is going a bit haywire nearby the core, and its only been a few days after your and briar's expedition into area zero
    lastly i just wanna say
    bootstrap paradoxes are paradoxes of infinite regression, wanna know what else is? the origin of the expression *"it's turtles all the way down"*
    *edit:*
    about The terastal phenomenon and desire, everyone who's come close to Terapagos had a wish come true to them, with a monkey's paw-like effect to it.
    Heath wanted to explore Area Zero, he even encountered the hidden treasure, and found the herba mystica which can possibly cure anything as long as you eat from all types... and yet
    the glowing pokémon he found lost their shine when they left the crater
    the herba mystica was stolen and eventually found by the titan pokémon
    and nobody believed him.
    The Professors wanted to bring the future/past to the present create a link where these creatures could live with modern pokémon and learn from them
    and yet, the iron serpent/winged king ended up Killin them as it fought with miraidon/koraidon
    and the AI they built to help them realized the horrors of this operation and did it's best to shut down the project of their *dreams*
    finally... Briar... well she proved what Heath saw was true ... and yet her actions not only end up causing the paradox that makes Arven lose his parent, paradox pokémon to endanger paldea, and etc... but might eventually cause terastal energy to go haywire!
    as for the tree
    well its another proof of this
    a seed that managed to unfortunately find it's way to area zero's under depths, before a cave-in possibly, but it's desire to grow caused the terastal energy to feed it's growth... until the crystals took over the whole structure of the tree, feeding off it, while also feeding it back
    and its not the only crystal tree, trees on the top of Area Zero are already crystalizing as well, and herba mystica is filled to the brim with terastal energy
    and slowly Paldea itself is succumbing to the terastal energy as well, the growth of the black crystals are proof of this

    The Terapagos also works the ultimate example of SV's overall theme of things not being what they seem on the surface.
    Team Star seemed like street thug bullies, the Loyal Three seemed like noble heroes, Sada/Turo seemed like good if somewhat workaholic people, the list goes on.
    Players are used to the big important legendary responsible for the whole story to be a Godzilla sized monster that can nuke a continent by sneezing at it, and all the talk about ancient Paldea point towards that direction being the case again Terapagos especially when you realize it is a reference to the World Turtle in a lot of folklore. Then whe you get to Terapagos you find a baby turtle that yes can also nuke the universe if you piss him off but he's really just a naive child unaware of how powerful he is and means no harm.

    • @teno777
      @teno777 20 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Terapagos isn’t even a naive unaware baby creature, it actually is a fully grown wild creature from a very distinct species. It is minding its own business, however it sees fit and based on how the species operates. Which I think makes it more realistic and on par with many other Pokémon, except that the Terapagos are very strong yet innocent looking.
      I really like this aspect for a legendary, it makes it more grounded yet still mystical enough.

    Some things I noticed in my playthrough that make me think it's something closer to timeline-hopping than outright time travel as we know it:
    1) I don't think the Sada/Turo we see at the lake is ours, and I think the game goes out of its way to prove it. They give us the book they would use as a key for the "time machine" in our timeline, the same book that Arven learns about the Herba Mystica from. We don't create a bootstrap, if anything our timeline would cease to exist, because without the Scarlet/Violet book, the events of the main story would not have happened. And the journal entry already being there before we see them at the Crystal Pool proves that our Sada/Turo had the opportunity to give up the book, but didn't (they were greedier). They also literally say they could be in a different timeline
    2) this would explain where the Paradox mons come from, as the "time machine" would actually be more of a one-way wormhole with a gate. It's designed to send Pokeballs and retrieve only them, which is why something like a human or AI wouldn't be able to come back, cuz you can't catch them in a ball, and there's no "time machine" on the other side. Also this would mean our professor was just wrong about how their own machine worked but that wouldn't surprise me
    3) the Phantom Memory entry actually says that the page he was holding was in his own handwriting, and I took this to mean he met himself from an alternate timeline, though I'm not sure why he doesn't remember it
    Some things I'm not sure of:
    1) assuming Terapagos did not already have its powers prior to the seismic shifts; is the timeline-hopping a quality innate to the crystals, or something that Terapagos "creates" with them? Could Terapagos have slipped into our reality from one where it already had these powers? Is this why there are indications of other creatures filling the Underdepths *prior to the cave's formation* in the second journal entry? Could they have come through the crystals?
    2) the region looks like a giant Terapagos. Is this because of Terapagos' influence or the crystals'? Is there a difference? Is it a coincidence?
    3) how does this all tie back into Terastalization? Terapagos is clearly invovled, as its face is on every Tera Jewel and its cry is the Terastalization sound, is it like temporarily swapping our Pokemon for one from a different timeline where it's that Tera Type? Is it meant to be like... "refracting" all the different types the way it "refracts" all the different timelines?
    Much to consider

  • @GreyVictory1510
    @GreyVictory1510 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +30

    There are 2 points I would like to add:
    1. Now that we have the book from the respective professors childhood... How did they use this exact copy as the key for the timemachine?
    2. The crystals grow over time, so it is possible that the man's crystals ended up in the pool in Kitakami and started growing there to the state we now find them in. He explicitly brought these strange crystals from outside the land, which would make no sense to comment on if they were naturally found there before he arrived with Ogerpon.

    • @sckaze777
      @sckaze777 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      I agree that Point 1 is so confusing . The professor of the player's timeline claimed to have received a white copy, which means they would have had given their books to a player from another universe/timeline, yet they still managed to activate the time machines in the main timeline

    "Seismic Shifts" could refer to earthquakes, tectonic plate movements, or a meteorite impact, among other things. I think you were closer than you realized to understanding the Light Timeline's origins: Terapagos has always been there, deep underground (possible connection to Diancie and Carbink? Idk), but the meteorite impact that you already figured out caused the Area Zero Crater is still likely what brought Terapagos to the surface, and I think all of your ideas about the Ruin Pokemon, Gen 6 through 8, etc. are all likely still true, but I think there's a deeper connection to Light and Crystals that goes beyond individual Legendary and Mythical Pokemon. I would direct attention to the one held item considered the most-overpowered in the Shadow Timeline (Ruby & Sapphire through Black 2 and White 2): Type Gems. I hypothesize that some small vestige of Terapagos's Power, which is likely what drew the Ultra Beasts, Cosmog (and its evolutions), Necrozma, and Eternatus to our world, and allowed for the creation of terrible weapons and massive Light-based projections and creations, alike, may have been responsible for Type Gems, Evolution Stones, and, dare I say, the power Celebi had (and the same power the Purification Chamber had) that was used to purify Shadow Pokemon. After all, what's more connected to the earth than a forest, and what's older than dirt, itself, if not time, a power you mentioned Terapagos also has?
    This is really good work, and I think there's a lot to think about, here. Even since Gen 1, Sabrina and other Psychic Trainers have made it clear that a determined enough mind can change the world through thought, alone.

    My headcanon for the paradox pokemon is that they are from different timelines and eras from them. As the pokemon world isnt a stranger to having timeline splits. Plus this also opens up many new ideas for pokemon games so I like it. Maybe the tree represents Terapagos's reach across the timelines which are numerous. I just thought of something. Maybe the Professors used Terapagos's power to go to the timelines they desired. Their paradise. Sada went to a dangerous primal world which limits technological development and has forced pokemon to adapt into being tougher and better survivors while Turo went to a world completely controlled by technology. So they used the power to travel between timelines to find their paradise they talk about.

    I like your bootstrap theory for the page, however, I think it was most likely Sada/Toro who gave Heath the notes. Also, given that Terapigose is already a time machine, might it not be possible that the paradox pokemon were brought from their respective worlds by Teropigoses power, like how the crystals were formed, but Sada/Toro just made a machine to harness this ability and force Terapigise to bring in any paradox pokemon they want. this would explain why the legendary treo mon's don't look like heath drawing, they are alternative takes on Ente, Swikoon, and Raico/ the swords of justice, and not a fusion.

    The powers of Terapagos are benyond of our understanding, maybe he can do things that are like dialga and palkia, creating a distortion of the time-space, making a time travel with another alternative timelines and creating paradox temporals, and can change the type, making us believe it's has the powers of Arceus or somekind, even it's from another world.

    Speaking of Lockstin, I actually had this big speculative expectation for the Final Story where Terapagos was actually based on Roko’s basilisk and, at least the one let in to this world through its turtley host and terastalization, was evil, manipulating Briar who would manipulate Geeta, Cyrano, and, most importantly *Carmine*, who views her as a mother figure, to help in that goal of letting Terapagos into the mortal plane.

  • @morenopanni277
    @morenopanni277 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I don't know if you are gonns read this since now we have to think about the new Legends game. Though I believe this is not a time loop, but a interdimensonal exchange between the playable caracther and Sada/Turo. The reason of this is because of the book the professors give you, which is the same one you and Arven use for helping Mabostiff. The book has the same professor's signature and it's impossible for you to use the book with Arven if the professors gave it away in the past. Even as a loop it doesn't work unless you bring it again in the past in some other way after these events, which is weird. Another reason to think you meet a professor from a different timeline is that the professors talks about their child even without ever meeting Koraidon/Miraidon. When we know that in your timeline child Arven grow up with the legendary, from the books in the little bases in Area Zero.
    Also this is not too farfetched since we see dimensional travel since ORAS games and a lot in gen 7. Terapagos basically creates portals like Solgaleo Lunala, though it's a different transport system (like difference between trains and plane) which is a weaker than them because humans can travel temporarily, but they lose memory a similar way to dimensional travelers from USUM. Also this explains the existence of paradox Pokémon as another way of Ultra beasts, but much more similar than our Pokémon, since we have infinite dimensions.
    In conclusion you meet a Sada/Turo from a different dimensions that gives you a different their book and in their timeline Arven probably never uses it with the playable caracther.

    A part of me is also curious if the terra tree at the bottom of area zero has any connections to the gmax tree in the crown tundra, as both aren't realky given any explanation yet are possibly connected to prominent legendaries in there respected dlc's
