I am still appalled that a pokemon game all about double battles and with limited pokemon to catch would give you a Plusle and never a Minum to pair with it. The one game where that ability might matter to the player and they squander it.
Actually there was a Shadow Minum. It was with the E-card reader and an e-card that allowed you to get Minum. Different E-cards had different Shadow Pokemon
@@ShinDangaioh This is true except Minun wasn't a Pokémon you could get from E-Reader cards. There is data for a Shadow Minun in Colosseum but it goes unused.

The thing you need to know about Dakim is he is meant to be an average Arizona man. Once you understand this his sudden legendary use and constant spam of Earthquake makes significantly more sense.
5:47 - In Pokemon Colosseum, the catch rates are different from the mainline games. Using the same catch rate calculator from dragonflycave that you're using in the video (with Entei's HP set to 1 with Sleep status), there's an option to select if the Pokemon is a shadow Pokemon, so it's actually a 23.416% chance of being captured under those conditions. It's still really tough (and it'd be challenging in itself to get Entei into those conditions), but it's technically not as bad as what it would be in a mainline game.

Dakim, and most of the Admins really, are so damn terrifying. Who knew giving the AI a tiny amount if competence could go so far? Combo that with the extremely limited roster and theres a reason Colosseum is held up as one of the hardest Polemon games. Its also why i like Mantine, that boy put in work.
Dunsparce with glare + Qwilfish spamming surf made this fight a walk in the park. Caught Entei in 4 pokeballs while he was in red and paralyzed. (Though he was THIS close to offing himself with Shadow Rush recoil)
I was today years old when I learned that Dakim always leads with Metang. I also had no idea he could lead with Camerupt at all. Is there any other trainers that have both a static and a random lead at once?
yep! for example Venus always leads with Delcatty but Steelix/Vileplume/Banette are random and Suicune is always last there's a lot more but i'm not sure if there's actually any documentation on it besides the speedrun notes i use, i might make a digestible sheet of it one day who knows

BOOYAHH!
I will forever refer to Remoraid and Yanma as the Potential Brothers
I love learning about pokemon speedruns. Something about making a turn based battle game go FAST is so interesting
... booyah!!! :,(
Also great vid!
I subbed because gen 3 content is always nice.
Booyah in the comments! Memories of Entei getting destroyed by its partner's Earthquake due to the switching system is pure nostalgia to me.
the potential brothers truly are the sloppy seconds bros of pokemon colosseum
this guy was fucking scary. you see him punch out someone and then he whips out a legendary on your ass. terrifying.
16:50 this had me rolling
pokemon has so much potential to be better god this makes me sad
I loved every minute of this video 😭🔥
"Top Pokemon colosseum speedrunner" so a extremely cool person, got it
Oh BOOYAH!!
That scream when the potential brothers were gone made me ugly laugh
Awesome vid, I loved playing this game
Umbreon is solid with toxic considering the protect spam.
Is there any other trainers that have both a static and a random lead at once?
yep! for example Venus always leads with Delcatty but Steelix/Vileplume/Banette are random and Suicune is always last
there's a lot more but i'm not sure if there's actually any documentation on it besides the speedrun notes i use, i might make a digestible sheet of it one day who knows
@@SparkleBruh Neat!
These are the kind of educational videos I thrive off of…
great video!
